Only discovered this store recently and I've been here maybe 3 times now...I've had a good experience each time. My first visit I was able to grab a pair of sneakers and had really helpful service by a lady and a male employee. They both helped me out and it felt like old friends, we had a great time chatting and talking sneakers. The other two times I visited just to take a look to see if anything hot had come in. I didn't need service by anyone so I was left alone which is also nice when you're shopping and don't want to be bothered. I'll definitely be back! read more

Pretty decent clothing store in the galleria. It's mostly a shoe store however they have a fair amount of clothes as well. One thing that stood out from the get-go was that they had nike tech color-ways that no other store had, they weren't available online either so that was pretty neat. If you want a refresh from the old generic shoes and clothes from footlocker, champs, etc I say you give this place a visit you'll find items available no where else. First time coming to this location and the customer service was absolutely horrible. Two employees - guy and girl - were talking about going out later that evening and totally ignored me even though I was literally standing next to the girl. I had to tap the girl on the shoulder to get her attention and ask her to help me. The guy interfered and said he could help me. When I asked him about the new Adidas x Game of Thrones shoes all he had to say was "no, you have to go to Adidas for that" yet I was standing right next to the shoes. My husband went into JD Sports (store #1101) to return something for me at 7:52 pm and was denied service by the store manager Vanessa. She advised him that the store was closed. He was confused because he was able to walk in and customers were still in the store shopping and asking employees for sizes. He then proceeded to talk to another employee (Jessie I believe was his name) and he advised him to get in line to make my return. Which He did and there was one customer in front of him. When He got to the register the employee said that Vanessa told him in the headset "not to take him". He advised him that He should just come back tomorrow. At that point he called me and I was really confused being that at this time it was still only 7:57 pm. I checked with mall management and they advised me that the mall stores close at 8 pm. therefore, I am not sure why she could even deny him service because she feels it's too late. She even called mall security on him because she said He forced his way into the store. How exactly can you force yourself into an open establishment? That just doesn't make sense. Being with how the world is today she should make better decisions on how to treat people. I have been a customer from Finishline for years and could not believe He was treated that way and denied service because she just thought It was "too late". I think they need better management or maybe send them to some customer service seminars. read more

If this store, now JD sports, has anything more than one star they MUST be fake reviews! I went into the store yesterday for the first time. Everyone that works there is extremely rude. The cashier was a little friendly. I mentioned she was the only friendly employee in the store and she straight out said, "yeah everyone has an attitude i here! WTH!? I spent a lot of money on shoes and was glad my son did not like them because their place does not deserve anyones business! I returned them the next day. Omg! I couldn't believe how rude the young lady was. I'm not going to disclose names, but she was simply awful. There were three people behind the register and all were unwilling to greet me or help me at the register. When one of them finally did, she didn't say hello. She just yelled, "RETURN? What's your email?" I said hello and how are you, but she was not having it. She finally got so fed up with me she literally walked away from the register and said, "I'm not helping her." The stand in manager apologized for her which she really didn't have to. Awful awful! If she doesn't like her job maybe she should look for something else. Don't take your anger and frustration out on the customer! Oh and one more thing, my son tried the shoes on and had them on for less than 30 seconds. The rude employee actually showed the bottoms to the stand in manager to see if it was acceptable as a return! Hahahahaha! Really? DO NOT SHOP HERE! I purchased a pair of Nike AirMax 200's two weeks ago for work, I finally put them on the earlier today to break them in for work tomorrow. I wore them in the house for no more than 10 minutes and my feet were killing me. I wear a size 12 in almost every shoe but I guess these run small...any who I had already tossed the receipt but decided to try and exchange them. I walked in and explained my situation, the cashier didn't seem thrilled and said she'd make a one time exception. The size I wanted wasn't in stock so I had to pick a different style. I walked to the wall to look at the different styles and was approached by Jesse, man this guy had such a positive attitude that I instantly felt better about the situation. I ended up choosing the the same shoe in a size 13 and since it wasn't available they're being shipped to me, I usually buy my shoes online but Jesse provided such a good experience that I'll do a little more shop on y here read more

I have been coming to this store since they opened and I feel it's time for me to make my review. So I've always had a very pleasant experience shopping here since day one. I've purchased A LOT of shoes here and I also purchase at the foot locker chains in this mall and I must say that the customer service here is greater overall. The main reason for my statement is the return process, this is were you find out the level of customer care the store has. The return process here has truly made me a loyal customer over all the competitors moving forward. I've been in here a number of times now. I like how open and appealing the store looks but when it comes to talking to the sales people, it's really a hit or miss kinda thing. My hubby went in and was asking about various shoes. He told the associate that there was a specific style of Nike's that he liked. He asked the associate what they had available. He explained to the associate that he was looking for a shoe with specific features and wondered if he could suggest something other than the Pegasus that he already loved so much. He told him something about the material of the shoe being very flexible and things. Umm, that didn't answer the question at all. Then, my husband asked why some of the pegasus had certain markings on the tongue or side of the shoe and others that were also pegasus didn't. (I think it was something like the letters, "XL" or something like that, a tiny detail.) My hubby asked him if that meant something or if that meant that the particular shoe that he was looking at came in extended sizes or widths. The guy, again, didn't answer the question and tried to get my hubby interested in New Balance. UMMM? If you don't know the answer to the question, don't you think you'd be better off asking someone who might know or look it up? I don't think giving people the wrong answers is any better than just telling them that you don't know or that you weren't sure and so you'd look it up. I seriously could NOT believe what I was hearing. It was so sad and just made me think that these guys do NOT know shoes and therefore should NOT really try to help customers, aka they should not be working there. I moved on to another associate. He was awesome, on the other hand. I explained to him that I was looking for a particular shoe. He told me that he'd run into the back and grab me sizes. I tried on my fave Air Max 90's in all white. I tried on the kids sizes and women's sizes. 1/2 the pair of the kids shoe felt great and 1/2 the pair of shoes felt great in the adult women's size. What a dilemma. I tried on additional pairs in both sizes. Nope. They didn't work out. We kinda chalk it up to the stitching and construction of the shoes being slightly different and maybe even the cut of the shoe being different just a bit and therefore there being that difference in comfort. I had great chat with him about shoes, comfort, features, color ways, etc. The guy that helped me was great and knew what in the world he was talking about. I'd go back to see him again in a heart beat. If it weren't for my experience with that sales associate, this would have been a 1 star review. My lil bit of advice to people who are anticipating shopping here would be, do your research first. You might want to know exactly what you're looking for first before you come in. And ask a few simple questions of the associate and kinda feel 'em out and see how knowledgable they seem before really sticking to them and having them help you with the remainder of your shopping transaction. read more

Came in here looking for a pair of sneakers I've been looking for a while now. I was happy I finally found them here but no one asked me if I needed help and I wasn't even greeted when I walked in. So I stuck around for a couple more minutes and still nothing. I left took a walk around the mall and came back for a second time and still nothing. It sucks because this was the only reason I came to this mall. I live all the way in the South Bay so this was pretty much a waste of time. read more

Customer service here sucks, before making a trip to Glendale galleria I made sure an item I wanted online was in stock at the store, so I called if they had it in stock and a worker said he'd go check on it and put me on hold for 5 minutes, then he hung up on me, how fkn rude. The shoe walls are looking way fire. The selection is fast. Ok big box shoe store they'll have variety and if you don't like that you can hit up a boutique. They get offered styles not a lot of places dont. Footaction and everyone else pretty much get the same stuff. Jesse is thee sneaker head at this spot and my dude has knowledge and knows his stuff. Please don't come in here thinking you can run in vapormaxes...sometimes customers will randomly return shoes like Jordan's that they'll display by the cash register. The Nike and champion apparel is always on point! Do make sure you download the finishline app so you know what's coming out and when! Also do keep in mind not everyone that works in a store is a hypebeast sneaker head. There's other places like that if you wanna test cats hahah. I ordered a pair of Nike's at their store since they didn't have the style in stock. While giving them my shipping info I discover their system is incapable of entering a 1/2 street number, such as 123 1/2 Glendale Blvd. Had them enter my neighbors address whose door is ~6 feet from mine and told him my shoes will be delivered to his address. All good. UPS delivers it to Glendale then it hands it off to USPS which then returns to sender since the name and address aren't an exact match while it is out for delivery. Never heard that excuse before. Waisted most the day on the phone with Finish Line service and USPS service. Never will I give a company business with computer software so antiquated it can't enter my address. read more

I love this store and all the employees that work here. Stephanie and Kelly are 2 of the nicest people I've ever met. They really go above and beyond on helping me find some shoes. Everything about this store makes me feel comfortable. Very clean and tidy especially with Covid. And let me not forget about Jesse. Great guy and very knowledgeable on his shoes.
