I love the food here! The Eagle Square Deli is my favorite independent sandwich shop in Downtown Concord. This shop is operated by First Impressions Catering. They offer a good variety of deli sandwiches, quiche, salads, homemade soups, fresh baked goods, chips (Deep River), cold drinks, and coffee (White Mountain Gourmet Coffee). Daily specials are offered. The prices are moderate, sandwiches priced $6 to $7 range. There's table seating inside this cozy shop and outside seating on the Square. I stop in here for lunch at least once a month for some good eats. I make the special trip from my office in the Heights to Eagle Square. I usually order the Half Sandwich & Soup Combo ($5.99) and a huge fresh baked fudge brownie ($1.99) for dessert, which is cut right out of the baking dish upon ordering. The Wild Bill's roast beef, hickory smoked turkey breast, and chicken breast sandwiches (with choice of toppings and bread) are my favorite sandwiches here. The cold chicken breasts are thick and very tender. The soups change daily and I've been very impressed with each delicious soup I've tried on each visit. I've had the thick and creamy New England Clam Chowder, Chicken Alfredo Florentine with Tortellini, Turkey Vegetable Rice, and Tomato Vegetable with Tortellini, all were excellent. The huge fudge brownie for my dessert is the best part of lunch, a very soft and big sweet treat to kick off the afternoon. Today, my coworkers' eyes lit up when they saw this huge brownie. Come on fellow yelpers...show some judgment and discretion, and don't just follow the crowd. This is certainly NOT a 4 (or heaven forbid, 5 star place)!!!!! I actually struggled awarding 3 stars, as I've definitely experienced "better"....the definition of yelps 2 stars!!! The two sandwiches I shared today, turkey and tuna, were average.....nothing more!!! Yes, there was a decent amount of turkey and tuna on the sandwich, and the prices was fair, but it was as simple as you could get. The menu offers no originality, nothing other than what you can get from the supermarket deli. The brownie was fresh out of the oven, and was similarly good sized, chewy, yet not too sweet (for my taste). I came here expecting wonderful creations, and all I got was lunch. Wow, what a cute little Deli! I ordered at the counter, sat down to wait, and had a steaming hot Reuben brought to my table with a smile. There are daily specials, interesting beverages, and fresh baked desserts. Great food, friendly staff, and a cute location. Nothing could have been better. This quaint little deli located in eagle square was truly quite a shocking treat to find. I was first drawn herr after winning a gift certificate here at a function but since my initial visits i have returned here on several occasions when in the main street area to fufill my desire for a good sandwich. Now i have had one bad experience here, not due to quality of food or poor service but in every restaurant there is always that 1 in 100 chance that something slips through the cracks and that was my experience so i do not fault the owner. I did bring it to his attention and he offered me a desert and was very apologetic about it but i simply brought it to his attention so someone who was, less understanding, than i wouldn't experience it. I would gladly reccomend this place to anyone looking for a classic, or not so classic, sandwich. read more

I work in Concord and we are always looking for somewhere that delivers for large groups in my office. We had Eagle Square Deli for the first time today... yuck. I got the wrong soup from what I ordered..no big deal. The soup tastes like it was from a can. I ordered a chicken ceasar wrap and it was so drown in dressing it was inedible. The dressing also was 90% anchovy I think. Ill cross that one off the list. read more

We stopped into this place on our way up north. We ordered the thanksgiving feast and the ruben. The thanksgiving feast was amazing the stuffing was homemade and the cranberry sauce was tasty! The homemade breads were also great. The Ruben was also phenomenal and was very juicy. We got a brownie to go with lunch and it was fudgey and crispy on the edges. The only downfall of this place was the lemonade it tastes like minuteman lemonde. I would definitely send people to this mom and pop shop! read more

This is the best deli in the greater Concord area. Peter, the owner, is a peach! The servrings are huge and the staff are all really friendly. The cookies and brownies are awesome - the wraps also awesome - the quiche super yummy. I've been going here for lunches for the last 8 years! Pete and the girls run a great place here. The food is awesome and lots of natural sugar sodas to choose from. I highly recommend the steak and cheese. Truly the best steak and cheese around! Great find through yelp. They were getting ready to close but we were welcomed and not rushed. Manager kept asking if we needed anything even after doors closed. Sandwiches were HUGH and tasty. My mother-in-law loved the artisan bread and wishes they had it for purchase by the loaf! Would go back again and next time will try to get there earlier! Desserts were tasty and massive. read more

These guys really care about their customers and want them to have a quality eating experience. So enjoyed the variety of food offered and also the drinks. Even offered Nantucket Nectars, most locations do not have. The sandwich, Chick n' Cheddar was so large I needed to eat with a knife and fork. I was also fortunate to meet the owner, Peter, amiable, I would just go to see Peter and chat with him. Needed inexpensive lunch while meeting with a business associate. Asked for a grilled cheese and was asked "what kind of bread and what kind of cheese?" Who gets choices on a grilled cheese? Pleasantly surprised, I said, "how about provolone on pumpernickel?" And can you throw on a little sriracha to spice it up? No problem. Now it's a custom made grilled cheese. A few minutes later...gooey tangy melty inside. Crispy outside. Hint of garlic and chili. Oooh la! OK so a grilled cheese isn't the height of cuisine, but it was quick, tasty, and just right. Just off Main Street - easy to miss. The deli is well reviewed so we gave it a shot over a deli on Main Street. Unfortunately, the deli is sub-par and lacks having all items on their short menu. Asked for Meatball Sub, but no meatballs that day. Got the special - Ruben - and it was soggy. The chicken caesar wrap was bland, but very large. Also had the chili, and was disappointed that it was soooooo tomato tasting. If you are looking for food, great, if you are looking for good food, look further. read more

Stopped here on our way up north. Great place to enjoy lunch outside in the courtyard! My husband had the Reuben, I had the gourmet grilled cheese, and my daughter had the taco bowl. All were delicious. The gentleman who rang us in was very friendly, and despite our getting there just before closing time, made sure we didn't feel rushed and encouraged us to stay as long as we'd like. This is my favorite deli in the state. The Reuben is absolutely amazing and the Steak and Cheese is one of the best I have had. I love the atmosphere and the owner cares so much about his customers that the first time I ever went there, the place was closed and he happened to be out back cleaning up (on his day off) but he saw us looking in the window and opened the place up just to make us lunch. We hired First Impressions Catering to cater hors d'oeuvres at our barn wedding in June and they were incredible! We met with Pete in advance to discuss what we were looking for and he invited us back shortly after to taste many of the items we had chosen for our menu. We had a guest with severe allergies and Pete was more than willing to accommodate. He was always pleasant and helpful whenever I needed something leading up to the big day. The day of the wedding, Pete and his team were courteous and kind to us and all of our guests. Pete even made sure to bring plenty of food to me and my groom, as he knew we would likely be too busy to eat! The food was incredible, and they even wrapped up all the leftovers for us (we were thrilled to bring everything back out for a second round later in the night!). The Eagle Square Deli is by far the best breakfast/lunch spot in downtown Concord! I have been taking my clients here for lunch for the past 4 years and this is consistently their favorite spot. The sandwiches are enormous -packed with generous portions of Boars Head meat and fresh veggies. The homemade soups are to die for and the fudge brownies are the best. The staff is always smiling and friendly, and once the warm weather hits there are tables and umbrella's outside so you can eat alfresco! Kudos to the Eagle Square Deli. It was my first visit to Concord, New Hampshire and me and my friends were fortunate enough to come upon this little gem. The deli has a good variety of sandwiches and beverages for a reasonable price. My chicken ceasar wrap had thickly sliced chicken and was much larger than I had anticipated. It was a great lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the owner greeted us at the door and made us feel right a home. This deli made our first trip to Concord truly memorable. You have to try this place!
