Dry needling, blading, assisting your body to move incrementally with support, even massage -- they use a wide range of tools from their expansive toolkit based on what your body needs. I especially enjoyed the explanations from Dr. Ho to my endless questions about what he was doing and why it works. His mastery of anatomy, physiology, and PT was evident every time I went. With just a few touches, Ho could pinpoint exactly where my pain was and address it appropriately. 2. The support staff is competent, helpful, and friendly. He is the most effective PT I have ever seen -- and the results came quicker and lasted longer under his good care and guidance than anywhere else I've been. I was in a car accident and saw several PTs, chiropractors, etc that provided temporary relief, but nothing beyond a week or two. Dr Issa was recommended to me by a family friend who is a top doctor in another state. At first I wasn't sure -- only because he was a 35min drive from my office and wasn't "in network." I am so glad I went -- and did a series of visits to correct my neck, upper back, lower back and pelvis. And, we tried dry needling, which I wasn't sure about and had never tried. It worked better than anything else I'd ever done. Now that's the first thing I ask other PTs -- bc that method, for me, has been #1 effective in releasing tight, conditioned muscles and promoting alignment and ease of motion. My kids like him as well. Kathryn is an office gem. Her knowledge of the body and how to get at various muscles to stretch them is amazing. I always enjoy working with her and find I learn something new every time. Chiros like any other body worker have their own unique touch. Dr. D is muscular, with an athletic build, but a gentle touch. His set up is very accurate for me and it takes little force by him to move things where they need to go, where I have had others unable to do so. I still on my own should and try to watch my posture and take more breaks as I sit too long and stare at a computer. His office can do x-rays and Dr.Lee uses the results to determine adjustments needed. He accepts my insurance. His no frills office setting has a recovery area and adjustment room. First you get changed into loose top and shorts and then get adjusted with consultation first. Then you head to the recovery room where various heat or other electric pulse therapy is applied to the pain areas. I like to snooze briefly then. Each appointment takes about an hour for adjustment and recovery. Once my acute pain areas were treated, I switched over to maintenance mode for monthly adjustments I.e. tune up. The chiropractors are skilled practicioners who care about their patients…read more BUT: their hours are Monday - Thursday for chiropractic adjustments. Closed for chiro Friday, Sat. and Sunday. By my experience, this means often there's little provision to help me if my pain starts on Wednesday. By then it's often too late to get an appointment for Thursday. So I've had to endure the pain for 5 days til the following Monday. It's so hard! Even beyond that, often patients need treatments spaced regularly thoughout the week. Every other day is essentially a non option, and twice a week is difficult. If there are no available appointments on Monday and Thursday or if a patient can't make it those days, the patient has to get Mon-Wed or Tues-Thur treatments and then wait 5 days for their next treatment. Ouch. Before the pandemic their hours were great (5 days a week + Sat AMs). The pandemic has likely trimmed their patient base. So I understand if they can only give chiropractic treatments for 4 days a week. But why don't they at least open their practice Mon, Tues, Wed, and then Fri? Then a patient doesn't have to suffer for as long. They must be keenly aware how much pain they can take away with regularly spaced treatments. It troubles me that the docs are okay with noodling around for regular 3 day weekends while a number of patients struggle to manage their pain. I may have to look for a new practice. I've been loyal to this practice for 13 years, but i want to be in less pain than they're willing to help me with anymore.
