Came here for an office holiday lunch. I had never been to this location before. It is sort of tucked away behind Dairy Queen, it's a small parking lot but it works. We were seated in a large rectangular booth with chairs on the one side, perfect for seating 8 people. Our server was great, super friendly and attentive. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich with yam fries, the sandwich was good, wasn't fond of the bun, but over all good. The yam fries were really good, not over or under cooked. I love yam fries but so often they are either over or underdone. These were perfect! The atmosphere was very nice, fairly quiet, it was easy to hear conversations, but not too quiet. Earls is one of my absolute favourite place to order out or dine in but this location on the last four visits has been nothing but subpar. We ate in and the service was so slow then at the end of the meal we had a gift card. The server told us she needed the manager to punch it in but her manager was having her lunch so we would need to wait until she was done eating. The other three times all of our takes out have been wrong. We checked our bag on the last time we ordered and everything was labelled correctly. Open the boxes when we get home and there is pasta inside a box labelled salad. We will phone and let them know it's wrong and they will ask us to come pick up new items which is great but having a newborn makes this not easy to return. read more

We were here on Father's Day and had a great experience. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was fantastic. In the past I haven't always been the biggest earls fan since most of their menu items aren't something that I would normally go for, however their hot chicken sandwich is fantastic! This was disappointing because we were looking very forward to a nice family dinner we haven't been able to do in a long time. I don't live in Sherwood Park but I visit this Earl's very often in the summer. The patio is great. It is surrounded by brick fencing so you feel like you can enjoy the outdoors and some privacy as well. The inside lounge is really nice too. The bar is a lit up semi-circle style that many people sit at. It just has an inviting atmosphere. If you are looking for privacy they have booths inside as well. The service is good and the wings are among the best in the city. read more

Service was fantastic! The girls went out of their way to hold the door open for us! (I'm currently on crutches) Tried the clover club no. 4 drink. It was great and had a little bit of a sour taste. Located just off the Sherwood Park Freeway is Earls. Earl's is a restaurant with a bar. It's a good stop for lunch or for dinner and drinks after work. My group went for lunch and we were not disappointed. We were seated almost immediately by a friendly hostess. The waitress was prompt at taking our drink orders and answered any questions my group had with good advice. I had the Royale Mushroom burger with cheese and I am definitely a fan. The burger was tender and the flavors were great! The fries were "pub" style fries but they were still quite good. The waitress was attentive to our table and was quick to refill drinks. My only complaint was how noisy it was in the actual restaurant. The noise pollution was quite bad but that could simply be from the amount of people in the building at lunch time. The table space also felt a little cramped. Earls has television's in the bar area with either the News or Sports which can be a nice way to relax. The parking lot right beside the building is quite small and mainly for Handicapped customers and delivery trucks. Earl's has an adjacent lot across the street for additional customer parking. The prices can be pricey depending on what you order but they have quite a few deals under $10. read more

This establishment is tucked away and right away the building felt forced into the space. It was small and awkward. There was extra space across street for parking but I didn't notice it until I left. We entered through two large doors and we're greeted by the hostess. She was polite and quick to get us a table. The restaurant was small with about 13 booths and tables. The lounge was overcrowded with high tables and chairs. The washrooms are located through the lounge and even with no one in the lounge it was difficult to move through the space. I would not recommend this place to anyone that needs accessibility. The atmosphere was warm and dark. The seating was all dark brown leather and tables were a beautiful dark brown wood. The server was excellent, he was easy to work with and had no problem making substitutions for me. The menu looked amazing, so many creative and decadent dishes. It was extremely difficult for me to find a decent filling vegan option. But they do cater to vegetarian and gluten free. Prior to visiting I looked up nutrition information and all items as they are on the menu are extremely calorie and fat dense. Even the salads. I had the Forager Burger with no cheese or mayo and subbed the brioche buns for the sour dough bread and a side of fries. It was delicious. The other dishes were chicken tacos, clam chowder and dynamite roll. Everyone ate without comment so I assume it was good. It did look amazing. They had a decent selection of wine. The washrooms were elegant with complete closed stalls with granite tile and wooden doors. The sink was automatic and had a nice trough granite sink. Overall the staff were the best part. They were pleasant and helpful. The food from a vegan and health perspective was very disappointing. But from my company's point of view was adequate. The space is awkward and tight. This Earl's is along Wye Road in Sherwood Park and is a convenient stop for casual dining when I'm in town on business. I specifically remember being here on a few different trips that occurred in the middle of my long divorce and very much felt at home and at peace here. We had a late dinner Brides Chicken Caesar server told us they had to redo as chicken was overdone, when it came it was still overdone. My hot wings I think came from the KFC dumpster and the Celery ! I did not know they grew Brown Celery. The dip (who knows what flavor) I had to break through the crust so passed on it. Earl's was never a place I usually go to but we had a stagette this weekend and some of the other Bridesmaids chose Earls. I probably have not visted Earl's in about 4 years and I think it has changed. It is still Pricey for what you get. I had Fish Tacos to start they were probably one of the better Fish Taco's I have ordered in a chain restaurant in awhile. For my main course I had a Steak mmmmmm was it great! Why is it that restaurants can't cook steak properly? I went to earls to get a steak and had a good laugh with the waitress about how the last time I was there with the same person, we both sent our steaks back. We both ordered steaks again and both ordered them blue rare. Blue rare for those of you don't know is an uncooked cool red centre. My steak came out medium and his steak came out rare. Where I come from, rare is passable because the meat is still not cooked.... But honestly, how do you screw up blue rare? I sent it back and they fixed it. The food here is standard for most Earls. Good. The only difference I have found at this location is that they won't let you order half fries half salad as a side for burgers ect. I find that it's a bit odd they say they can't do it given that all other Earls locations will do it. The restaurant is a weird lay out and atmosphere. I've mainly been here on weekends. I'd expect the lounge and restaurant to be at least a bit busy which adds to a fun atmosphere. This location is surprisingly dead most of the time. When you walk in you walk thru the restaurant to the back where to lounge is. The lounge itself is quite closed off and the tables are laid out in an odd way. It definitely is quite different from all others Earls I have visited. The only nice thing about the physical restaurant is the patio in the summer. The patio is contained by a wall lined with flowers and they have nice potted flowers through out. It also is a quiet patio which I prefer to those that are adjacent to busy roads. read more

I think sometimes Earl's is discounted as a good restaurant to eat at because it's a chain. I happen to like Earl's, and the menu is varied enough that I can always find something I want to eat when I visit any location. I had visited this Earl's many years ago, and when I went last week I was pleasantly suprised by the recent renovations. The interior and entry are much more spacious and updated than previously, and it looked like the inside had nearly doubled the seating capacity. This was another Sherwood Park restaurant we were checking out for our rehearsal dinner, and after our horrible meal at Joey Sherwood, this Earl's exceeded my expectations. We called ahead and met with a supervisor prior to our meal and she was able to answer all my questions and show me where the tables could be set up for our dinner. She was very professional, and gave me a business card when we were done talking. When we are looking at spending ~$700 on a dinner, this is exactly how I would hope to be treated. My meal was above average compared to the food I usually get at Earl's. I ordered a chicken caesar salad, and the chicken was moist and flavorful, and the lettuce was fresh and crisp. My mom's pesto pizza was delicious, and my fiancee enjoyed his steak as well. Our server was knowledgable about the menu and was very quick to keep our water glasses full and check in with us regularly. Earl's food (at any location) is never spectacular, but it is consistent and tasty. The service at this location puts it a step above some of the other Earl's I have visited, and I am looking forward to eating here in the future. read more

Hadn't been to Earl's in a while so my husband and I went for dinner. We started with their chilli lime chicken and wontons. It was quite good. I am a wimp when it comes to spicy so some of the more saucier pieces I left to my husband! I ended up getting a small Caesar salad and spinach dip. I completely didn't think of the romaine recall until my salad came and there were different types of lettuce. Props to them for making it work, I just am not a fan of kale (but I easily left those pieces out). My husband got the Kung pao chicken bowl. Kind of nice that you can choose your level of spice. Our server was great. She checked in, made conversation, and refilled drinks regularly. We sat in the lounge which was nice. In the end, it was a decent night. We had the pleasure of enjoying better than average wine and wine this evening. We ordered the Rascal red wine the Syrah and Grenache blend and found it great enough to order a second bottle to take home. The food was fresh. Even the Calamari I ordered smelled like like squid instead of oil like it usually does. I also had the tuna poke which was really good, little too much avocado in the blend, but good nevertheless. My wife ordered the ribs with slaw and warm potato salad. Delicious. Breana was busy but always checked in with us. It was a pleasurable visit I will rate this experience 5 stars. I have been to,unit a few Earls restaurants over the years. They offer good reliability in food consistency and service. I thought I would check out this relatively new Earls with my friends to see if they might break out of the Earls box, so to speak. We had a nice evening out. The decode was pretty standard for Earls. Moderately engaging without being distracting. It wasn't a very busy night, which certainly lowered the atmosphere, but it did allow the servers to spend more time with each table group. Earls continues to ale staff to dress in a manner that is more about drawing the eye of male customers than is about ensuring the safety and wellbeing of their employees - and I suspect that dress requirements many change with the recent court decisions on this mater - and that would be a good thing. The food came in a good time. Everything was appropriately hot or cold. The hamburgers were quite tasty. We shared an ice cream dessert dish, and the waiter remembered to bring extra spoons all around. Kudos for attentive service read more

The parking here is... odd. You can pretty much forget about parking in the lot out front - in fact, avoid this tiny, awkward space - but there is ample parking across the street. The foyer is ample enough to handle waiting patrons, which is good because if you arrive here after six you will be wait, though rarely longer than fifteen minutes. You won't wait long to be offered drinks once you're seated. If you are gluten intolerant or vegetarian, be sure to ask your host/ess for a specific menu. They have both available and happily answer questions about either. We are huge fans of the salads and soup/salad combo. I know that's an odd choice with such a varied menu, but we have tried other selections as well and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The Hunan Kung Pao is particularly good, but if you like spicy food, order at least four chilis. Earl's offers seasonal desserts that are delicious and prepared on site instead of ordered in frozen as well as a hot buttered toffee drink that makes a fantastic dessert alternative. They also have a delicious assortment of coffee cocktails for after dinner. I appreciate the lack of false chipper in the servers. They do their jobs well, balancing friendliness with efficiency. Great place to eat as a family or with friends, though I don't advise bringing small children here. The place does get quite loud during busy evenings. read more

Happy Hour Special is the time to go, 3-6pm, for $4 pints in the park - a special "rhino" lager is delish, brewed by Granville Island for Earls. This is not a wimpy lager. This Earl's has always been a personal favorite of mine. The only possible complaint I can think of is the parking lot- unfortunately tiny and awkwardly situated, however the rest of this reastaurant's features more than make up for that tiny blip. The atmosphere here is wonderful, very comfortable, and excellent service. Went to Earls for a celebration with girlfriends last Saturday night. We went after 7 for dinner. We started off with appetizers and ordered our meals. I ordered my steak medium-rare it came well done when I mentioned this to the waitress she looked at me and said sorry. Nothing was done! The waitress was not very attentive at all and seemed like she had better things to do. It was not busy the dining room was 1/2 full. I had not been to Earls in years as my last experience was not the greatest either. It looks like I won't be going back. read more

We'll I thought I would come in here to see if good ole Earls could redeem themselves. I used to come to Earls all the time quite a few years ago, but got sick of them. And to be quite honest, I find them boring.. Anyway this was my first visit to Earls in about five years. Thought I would come to this one in Sherwood Park because all the great reviews it got. Yes the Stella on tap is nice and cold, food was presented nicely we ordered an appy and shared an Italian pizza, the service was good. The atmosphere was nice too. The staff here are trained well in making sure the customer is happy. That's a good thing. I couldn't find to many things to complain about. But its still didn't wow me off my feet for me to give them a five star. I'll give the four star and say yes they did redeem themselves. read more

Earl's has been around a long, long time. You would think the restaurant would get boring but oddly I continue to find myself an Earl's fan over the last 20 years. And this is the best of the lot, I will even drive from my home in the north end just to go to this location. I find the staff friendly, helpful, and the food is always consistent and fresh. I believe the difference in this location is the management, they seem to know how to treat a guest, a rarity these days it seems. I am never disappointed here. Amazing food, the service can be slow when busy, but the server is very knowledgeable about the menu and the food is always great. Totally recommend the salt and pepper wings. The only benefit to the sometimes slower service is that the appetizers and entrees have space between them for enjoying them and chatting. One of my favorite restaurants.
