The owner of Earth Oasis Computers Tom Slaughter stopped by and uninstalled then reinstalled my printer plus cleaned up conflicting computer entries referring to previous printers. He solved my problems quickly and easily (for him). He created new shortcuts on my desktop for the printer. He is very personable and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others. Excellent neighborhood shop. They performed some miracles on a dying laptop, transferring over my desktop to a new laptop. They managed to snag some important files for me, while the old PC gasped its last breaths. Four stars rating here, only because of my perceived slightly high cost and some occasional difficulty reaching the technician. Good thing it was not super urgent to get a quick turnaround. Reading some other ratings here, tho, makes me wonder why people set such high expectations for gear damaged by viruses or accidents. Earth Oasis my be good at setting up already built computers or installing simple home networks but they are not good with more sophisticated or complicated issues. They are out of their league. They tried to sell me services I did not need and were unrelated to the problem, They were thinking I was clueless about computers and treated me that way. I know enough to know when I need help and that is all they knew. . I went there thing it would be quick since they were local but it took over a week for them to copy a drive. If you have a simple problem and plenty of time and money they are the go to company. But do not expect them to explain any thing to you. read more
