It's a perfectly tropical, sweet pick-me-up before of after a workout. 7g protein/260 calories. The Slim Down smoothie, while terrific for offering 21g of protein at just 240 calories total, has that yucky protein powder aftertaste, so I won't be getting this one again. Great drinks but terrible customer service. I always come to an establishment with a 5 star review in mind even when it's basic food & customer service. It was very unwelcoming the moment I walked in, no greeting or smile at all from the workers. I ordered the sunshine immunity. When I got my drink, there was no straws. I looked around to see if I'm supposed to grab a straw at the stand but there wasn't any. I asked the worker and she was looking at her phone and told me to get a straw myself. I told her there wasn't any and you can clearly see that from afar. Her other coworker had to tell her they were out of straws so she finally gets some from the cabinet and gives me a straw. I can't believe how unhelpful they were.. The workers here can be more aware if they weren't too busy playing with their phones. Immunity sunshine $10.95 + tip = $13 (5/5) - this drink was yummy. Very fruity and refreshing with a nice kick of ginger. Not too chunky and was blended nicely cause of the coconut water Customer service (0/5) - Workers don't want to help or talk to you. What an awful experience. I come here twice a week or more and have never had such a terrible experience: 1. 15 minute wait for smoothie- at 10;42 AM 2: one of the employees took a call on what appeared to be a personal cell phone with a line forming out the door leaving the other member unsupported for 4 minutes. 3: upon inquiring where my smoothie was - a sluggish "we are working on it" at the ten minute mark- no apologies. 4. i asked for a refund at the 15 min mark and the female with no apologies says its ready and with disdain hands the drink to me. i tipped 18% for this? ATTITUDE galore 5. i wasn't alone in my disappointment- the lack of hustle was so evident it brought the room down! 6. I have my own firm and know well what it loos like when people don't want to work for me. It's giving I hate my job energy. Coach up or coach out. I won't be back until I see a change. They only at chestnut st location serve the 'vanilla cloud'- a delightful mix of matcha and pea flower latte to satisfy the sweet tooth and fill up on supplements that are in every drink at earthbar. Can add all the additional good stuff to all their drinks also if desired; they have great smoothies also and tried the smoothie bowl which is loaded with toppings - a little bit on the pricier side for smoothies but hey, its san francisco- everything is pricey here these days. Because I order the EXACT SAME THING every single time I come here: Acai Bowl, no agave... and 1 out of 3 times they get it right. But you know what? I still give them 4 stars for the following reasons: 1. The Acai Bowls are $10 for a solid portion and quality 32 oz size, which is a steal by SF standards. 2. The staff is generally friendly and will remake my bowl without agave if they mess up the first time. 3. While I love the smoothies the hours and wait times are terrible. What's the point of even being attached to a gym if it closes at 5pm? There's also max 2 people working at all hours of the day, but usually only 1. This 1 person is forced to take all the orders, make the smoothies, and clean the place, meaning the environment is never that clean and you're usually waiting around for 5-10 min. At Earthbar you're really paying a premium, they need to step it up. read more

Imagine working in a smoothie joint, in a bougie neighborhood in San Francisco, during a pandemic. You can certainly imagine you might encounter some...complicated people. Not the easiest position to find yourself. But Mhari, with whom I had the pleasure of chatting with twice this week (I had two work-related errands at the the neighboring Sephora) was able to handle all that with warmth and grace. I observed her recommending alternatives to a customer when a particular ingredient was out of stock, and she was able to help me pick a smoothie in anticipation of the run I was hoping (pretending?) to go on later that day (spoiler: it didn't happen). She's knowledgable, friendly, and efficient. Plus, she just seems like a genuinely nice person. I wound up ordering the same thing during both visits--the Flax Master--and I was hoping to find nutritional info to add to my daily log (since I'm one of "those" people out of necessity), and Cavin and Jaclyn spent a solid ten minutes looking for the info, and wouldn't rest until they had it. After a few minutes, I feel like anyone else would have politely explained they couldn't find what I wanted, but they prevailed, which was incredibly gracious of them, AND tremendously appreciated. read more

I consistently get the Epic vanilla smoothie and the consistency and taste of the smoothie is different literally every time. At this location the size seemed smaller to me and the fresh fruit it was topped with was frozen blueberries. I was like "what am I going to do with theses?" Worst customer experience I've come across in a long time. It was so bad that I actually felt compelled to write this review... which I'm not sure I've ever done before. The two women working on Friday around 4pm (9/23) were not helpful, rude, loud and completely distracted. In fact, the entire time we tried to order they were flirting with an equinox trainer to whom they were giving free items ahead of those in line. The woman taking our order stopped mid order to obnoxiously yell at her coworker and laugh at what the trainer was saying to them. The interactions with the trainer took our order from being a 30 second ordeal to around 5 minutes. Additionally, we tried to ask about one of the added supplements in the smoothie and the woman looked at us in confusion, didn't say anything, grabbed the supplement off the wall and tossed in front of us to read... then went back to talking to the equinox trainer. We still proceeded to order...On top of the customer experience, the smoothies were awful. Not sure if we attribute the flavor to the women making them or to the poor menu design. read more

Ahhhh sooo trendy... I both hate and love this place because of it! I don't workout at equinox, but you will definitely run into a ton of ppl who had just finished their workout coming here. This place is pretty expensive for its food and drinks, but I come here every so often because of how convenient the location is and its açaí bowl. The smoothies are decent, but I'm rolling my eyes because they're $8. I do admit after a long night out, they really hit the spot when you don't think you can hold down food... So back to the açaí bowls. It's delicious. I tried it out for lunch on my bday, and wasn't sure if it would be worth $10. Well after trying it, it was pretty amazing and really filling. There's something magical about the granola... I wish they sold bags of it so I can eat it at home without being judged. Sunny morning and I was dazed so I had a difficult time finding Earthbar on Union Street after Yelping and Googling the location. Earthbar is located in a shared building with Equinox and Illy Cafe. When I finally stumbled at its entry, there were already six people ahead of me waiting for their order. I waiting at the register for a good few minutes before the two employees even looked at me to take my order. No "Hi", No "sorry for the wait". Just plain monotone, "what would you like?". Placed my order and waited about 15 mins for the Acai Bowl. Meanwhile, I'm judging all the men and women in their tight workout clothes, groomed hair, and full on makeup. As soon as I got back to my car, I dug in the Acai Bowl, I was fairly disappointed with the color of the Acai and the granola used. Acai was brownish color (perhaps they blend it with banana?), not the purpleish color I'm used to seeing and making. The granola was so hard to chew. My jaw was tired of eating through the bowl. Though it was a generous portion. Sad to say the least, I will NOT be coming back here. Staff could be friendlier. read more
