It's a beautiful indoor and outdoor market with Organic fresh produce, salad bar, hot meals, baked goods, juice bar and a coffee bar with an impressive selection of milks. They have gifts and AMAZING flowers picked fresh from their beautiful farm, that you can see right across the street. They have a very festive outdoor dining area with picnic tables and lots of grass for the kids to play. It's very popular and always full of people enjoying themselves. I tried contacting Earthbound Farms via the 800 number on the back of the package after getting ill from making a smoothie using their "Power Greens." I apparently called "after hours" at 4 p.m. on a weekday, and left a message with my name and phone number expecting they'd call me back. Three days later and no call back, so I guess that shows how much they care. No surprise I got sick from eating their greens, as this is not their first run-in (http://goo.gl/J0rnD3) with a food-borne illness related to their products; I guess I'm just glad I didn't need to be hospitalized. I've bought their "triple washed" spinach quite a few times, but the package I bought today had leaves with dirt on them, a piece of straw, two bb-sized lumps of dirt, and some plant that was not spinach in it. This was intended to be my veggie side dish and I could not bring myself to serve it. :( Edit: I contacted them and sent in photos. They were very positive about receiving a complaint and apologized. Bought another expensive box of Earthbound Butter Lettuce that was FULL of bug holes and rotting lettuce. Second one in a week. Don't mind paying for a great product, but all of a sudden, their 'Butter Lettuce' is mostly cheaper Dark greens, which rots faster. Also, another bad box of Romaine, where many leaves are bad...freshly bought from a great market. Shame on you, Earthbound! This is for their AWESOME customer service. Their Costco Tub of mixed greens is my sack lunch staple. A couple of handfuls of the Spring Mix, last night's leftovers heated up in the microwave at work and I have a bale of lunch. Last couple of CostCo tubs went bad really fast. So I wrote them asking about the problem. Turns out there were a couple of things going south. 1. CostCo seems to be a tad careless in how they handle the produce 2. The expiration date was at hand. i contacted the crew at Earthbound to ask how to better manage my purchase (a whopping $3.95) they they took it seriously. They went out of their way to make it up to me on the greens and it sounds like they will be working with CostCo to better manage their brand. Thanks guys. read more

As I was standing at my sink this morning, washing spinach at around 4:45, I made a promise to myself. I will only buy Earthbound Farm spinach in the future!!! I picked up a different brand of spinach yesterday and it's awful. I had to throw away a lot that was already decomposing and it was paper thin - horrible quality and I cannot remember the grower. Since our visit I've been telling everyone I can to buy your produce - how your processes are so impressive (much like a clean room) and how they can trust what they are getting/no need to wash it again. This morning's experience reinforced this for me again - I am going to stick to what I know I can trust and that is Earthbound Farm. read more

Package had an expiration date of Nov. 14 ... when I opened it Nov. 3, it was slimy and disgusting.

I love the kale and arugula and spring mix but for some time now, I have found that there has been some water added to the interior causing major deterioration of the greens in the middle and outward from that. I have written to the company more than once and yet the problem persists...I am so frustrated because organic greens are a staple in my diet and it just kills me to throw away half of the box that costs $4 !! I simply do not understand why they do this...also I wish they would get rid of the red lettuce in the spring mix...it is almost always in the process of deteriorating...such a bummer! read more

Founds green camouflage bugs, 100's of them, after eating 90% of the organic romaine lettuce. Thought at first they were part of the salad until I focused in on them. Used Earthbound organic "triple washed" lettuce a few times and this was the only time I found them. Luckily they didn't look alive but I will never look at romaine lettuce the same again. read more

This Farm product is carried at Costco- I shop at the store in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The Organic Spring Mix that I purchased there a few weeks ago was all but totally inedible. I had to throw it all out. Agree with all negative comments made about this product. Have decided never to purchase it again. It is impossible to see the quality of the lettuce as it is packed too tightly into its container. read more

I'm so glad I'm not alone on the MULTIPLE negative experiences. 20 years ago when Earthbound was the only organic baby green brand on the market they were wonderful, as far as I recall. Don't remember ever having a problem. Over the past several years I started to steer clear from this brand (and I'm a brand loyalist) due to horrible downfall in quality of this brand. Salad going rotten over and over well before the sell by date. Slimy, smelly, rotting pieces that taint the entire batch - garbage. So I'm literally throwing money away and being inconvenienced out of my planned meals. Other brands I've had great luck with - many of them still hold up well after the sell by date. I'm so disgusted by what this brand has become and I officially will NEVER buy another product from them again even if it's the only option. I've learned my lesson. I started to warn people to choose other brands if they have the option in the past but now I will be vigilant in informing people because I'm so angry they're getting away with ripping people off who are trying to make healthy choices. I wrote them a letter but from the way it looks here, I won't hear back. Luckily, there are so many other great options these days! read more

I bought a container of the Herb Mix and it contained a juicy, dead, green striped worm. I immediately informed customer service back in November 2013. They responded that there were coupons attached to their email, which were not so I emailed them again in December and February and still haven't gotten any coupons or reply. They do not stand by their products and their customer service sucks! read more

Their produce, particularly the salads, are what I prefer in terms of freshness and consistency as well. Really like the salad mixes. I often get the salads to have as a family or to pair with meals. Also a great value given the selection of produce and the quantity that is provided. read more

I totally agree with Ari M. and Bay B.! A while back, after purchasing and eating all the way to the bottom of a box of mixed greens, I found two beetles crawling around, very much alive! Another time when I opened a large box of spinach, there was a huge grasshopper lying dead right on the top! YUK! Also, Earthbound Farms spinach and all lettuces are left very wet, causing the produce to rot well before the date on the box. That sort of ruins the idea of pre-washed and eating right out of the box. The last few times I bought their brand I had to go through the lettuce piece by piece and pick out all the rotten and slimy pieces, which turned out to be almost half the box! After many years of buying and enjoying their products, I feel sad to say they have SOLD OUT or gotten too big to supply a decent product! I give up on Earthbound Farms and if you value your health (rotten and slimy food can make you sick to say nothing of bugs) you will too........ read more
