I don't usually shop and tourist places like this but when I saw all the olive jars I could not resist. The olive tasting is so easy they just hand you a cup of bread and they have these little cups and it's not like you have to ask to taste each one it's all self-serve and I get it it could be a risk for a business to lose a lot of product that way but it really made it and enjoyable experience for me so I appreciated that. The olive oils are absolutely incredible we ended up buying three my favorite was the Tuscan herb do not leave without a bottle from this spot you will have regrets. read more

Came here cause I was craving some bread dipped with balsamic and olive oil. I do like that they have different options and you could taste them. I didn't get any balsamic as I didn't find one that I liked but I did get the garlic olive oil and that was delicious. It goes well with bread and I've used it for cooking as well. Wishes I got a bigger size. Guess I'll just have to go back. Service was quick and easy and I liked the feeling of being at home inside the store. read more

I was so happy to come across this store during my recent trip up to Monterey! I had made the trip to check out Cannery Row and found the shop within walking distance to the aquarium. Like its description, the store sells speciality balsamic vinegars and olive oils. For all the cooks out there, this is definitely your store! They have plenty of options for both oil and balsamic vinegars to satisfy your taste buds as they offer both savory and sweet options for the vinegars. There are little cups for you to pour out samples of each to try and the staff will also offer bread incase you didn't want to try the vinegars or oils on their own. I couldn't help myself and ended up walking out with 11 bottles! Their products definitely make for good souvenirs for friends, family or just for yourself. Stumbled upon this place just strolling down cannery tow we stopped in because we definitely both love cooking with olive oil. I love this place. It has very cute decor and so many great tasting olive oils to choose from ; I love the fact that they give you complementary bread and let you sample the different oils . This is such a cute little fun experience and I would definitely go back again. They also have options where you can customize a four pack of your favorite mini size olive oil, which was very cool. My mom stumbled upon this gem of a shop about three months ago when we were in the area for a day trip with our friends. Here, she bought a glass olive oil and vinegar glass cruet and a small Cinnamon Pear Balsamic Vinegar since it was easier to carry around. This time, I was in the area again and my mom asked me to buy more. I bought the Cinnamon Pear Balsamic Vinegar in their largest size, growler ($79.95), since I parked right in front this time and didn't have other things to carry. This is such a cute shop that sells olive oil and balsamic vinegar in various flavors. Their staff will give you a small cup of bread bites to sample their olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Personally, I like their balsamic vinegar more than their olive oil, but they are both flavorful. Both times, staff were polite, but I liked the attentiveness and service of my first visit more because the staff didn't greet me this time when I stepped in, I had to ask for the bread bites myself, and the customer before me got his purchase in a tote bag while I got mine in a doubled paper bag (the bag I got seems less sturdy than the tote bag and the staff warned me to carry it carefully because the cap on the growler can't be sealed and my purchase is heavy). However, when asked, the staff was knowledgeable about popular items in the shop and gave me the bread bites when asked. Sizes offered in store: Petite (60 mL): $6.95 Small (200 mL): $13.95 Medium (375 mL): $20.95 Large (750 mL): $33.95 Growler (1,892 mL) $79.95 I love all of their balsamic vinegar flavors. We chose a sweeter aromatic orange infused oil, and another with a deeper thyme flavor. Our doctors have reminded us to choose the best EVOO oils- there is a great selection here, and tasting really helps you choose your favorites. Thanks to the great store owners and staff! The people who work there are friendly and they even give you some bread to sample their oils. The store itself looks nice and they sell other things as well such as plushies and bath bombs. Who knew balsamic vinegar could be so flavorful! From sweet fruity vinegars to aromatic savory herb aromas, none of the balsamic vinegars left me disappointed. Olive oils were a bit underwhelming, though. Many of them had a strong scent but no matching flavor, so they seemed to all be "all bark and no bite" where each one smelled nice but in the end just tasted like olive oil with a barely noticeable twist. The gochujang olive oil in particular tasted pretty bad to me, and left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. read more

Large open area when you step inside. There are balsamic vinegars on one side of the room and more towards the center where the registers are there are several different types/flavors of olive oil. I tried butter, wood smoked, garlic, and lemon. Those who work there will give you a cup with small pieces of bread which can be used to try many different flavors. I hadn't been in that shop for a couple of years, but decided to buy a Christmas gift there. Their selection is fantastic and I was able to fill up a gift basket in no time. They did the packing and the shipping for me since it was going out of state, the package reached its destination when I was told it would. I didn't give it a five star rating, because the service was the absolute worst. There was one young man behind the counter when we entered, and he made no move to welcome us or ask if he could help us. We were completely ignored and his back was turned to us while we wandered around. I finally had to ask for his help in filling up a bottle of balsamic vinegar. He had zero personality. As for the prices, they are very reasonable. The petite is 6.95, small 13.95, medium 20.95 and large 33.95. I got the lavender and vanilla balsamic vinegar and lemon olive oil in petite. Then I got the herb de Provence oil in small. I'm sure I can come up with some recipes for both cooking and vinaigrettes with these flavors. Highly recommend this place. read more

I live for their olive oils! I mainly use them for salads. I love the cilantro and roasted onion for savory salads and today I combined their Persian lime olive oil with their strawberry balsamic vinegar over a mixed salad with fruits and nuts and that was the best decision ever. They also have the best truffle infused oils in my opinion. Very strong hints of truffle, more than any other brands I've tried so far. Same goes for their truffle salt. Lastly I also like to pair their dill olive oil with their Neapolitan balsamic and a sprinkle of salt and a some nice French bread to dip with. read more

You walk in and are faced with a multitude of vats of vinegar and olive oils, all available to sample. I'm guessing there were in the range of 70-80 choices. There are little containers to pour your sample into as well as pieces of bread. Once you find one you like, you go the the counter and tell them what size bottle you want (there are several options). We purchased Tuscan olive oil which we both hailed as our favorite.
