There's about 20,000 ft.² of rock, gem and prehistoric related items here. This is the ultimate place to get your mineral fix with thousands of fossils and gemstones to choose from. But that's not the only thing they sell here. You'll also find singing bowls, gongs, T-shirts, wind chimes, insence and literature on spiritualism. There's an additional area called the rock Depot where you could buy raw unfinished minerals by the ounce. I also mentioned something about us looking around before our flight. Wanting to still explore the store, I complimented the store, and politely asked if they wouldn't mind telling me a bit about their store. All of a sudden, one person behind the desk stated that he was too old for this, and that he just didn't feel like talking, and said it's his day off. The other person with him didn't say anything, so I just walked away, and then decided to call and Uber and leave the area. Having spent much of my working career with critically ill people who are often having the worst days of their lives, I can admit to many moments where I am super tired and frustrated with things in my own life, and understand needing to take a step away, have a minute to regroup, take a breather etc. But how am I supposed to know it's your day off if you're behind the counter, and asked me what I was looking for? what about the other person who I'm assuming was working..couldn't they have chosen to just say a few words? If they felt I was looking for a long explanation, I think a reply saying something like I'll give you the short version would have sufficed. It did made me wonder what it was about me and friends that made it seem appropriate to reply in that manner. Is the attitude some type of gimmick I'm not aware of? Im not necessarily angry, Just felt disappointed. Made me wonder what I had to look like to get treated nicely. Maybe it's the fact half my outfit is from Costco, the other half from Marshall's. (I'm still quite proud of all that). And my friend was carrying her Vera Bradley luggage haha. Treasure City Thrift recently moved into my neighborhood, so I finally stopped in to see what it…read morewas all about. On my first visit, I noticed they had a nice mix of clothing, shoes, glassware, and home décor, so I came back this weekend hoping to browse the clothing racks. I struck out on clothes this time around--not because they didn't have any, just because nothing in my size was quite my style, condition, or price point. That's thrifting, though. You never know what you're going to find, and sometimes the best score is in a completely different aisle. In my case, I walked out with a pair of vintage shoes in excellent condition for only $5, plus several beautiful glass pieces for next to nothing. I'd call that a successful trip! When I drove by on Sunday, they had boxes and boxes of free items out front with people happily digging through them. It was way too hot for me to join the hunt, but once the Texas weather cools off, I definitely will. This feels like one of those thrift stores that's worth stopping into regularly because the inventory is always changing, and you never know what treasure you'll find next.

For more than half of my time in the store I continuously had multiple workers staring me down, and then two just following me around multiple times which gives me the feeling that I'm being looked at like I'm going to steal. This normally wouldn't bother me because I'm not a thief but it bothers me because I've given zero reason for anyone to be looking at me or following me like this. It creates a nasty narrative, and a hostile environment. Until you've been given a reason to need to follow someone, don't... I'm an indecisive person, but I'm also a gay male in a thrift store playing gospel music, so it's bad enough I already feel like I'm not wanted here but to follow me around and look at me while talking to co workers multiple times doesn't put a good feeling on a customer. And there's a chance that maybe this wasn't the case but I'd be an easy target. There's not a huge selection of men's clothes or shoes and if there is it's mixed up with the women's so I look in ever aisle and I feel like I got stares because I was in the women's aisles but there was a plethora of women's things in the men's aisle so maybe they just need to reorganize? The prices on some things seems incredibly capitalist, I see a whole couch for $19.99 which is a great price, but then I'm looking at a pair of shoes for $24.... Where's the relief in that LOL I have to admit they have some pretty good items, but the prices seem greedy. I don't know how much of the proceeds go to disaster relief but if it's not 100% then it seems pretty disturbing, prices are getting to be like Goodwills and there's no good will in that ‍ All in all, this truly is a great store but this was not a good experience for me so I may seek another store.

I was completely ignored by the cashier, but I brushed it off. The second time, I brought a friend. While your clothing isn't quite my style, I'd noticed a few charming pieces and thought she might enjoy them. Someone did come outside to greet us and mention more items inside, which was a refreshing change. My friend even returned on her own later and had a good experience. Today, I stopped in again--not for myself, but because I have a sparkly, pink-loving, Kendra Scott-type friend with a birthday coming up, and your store felt like the perfect match. Once again, I came in after work and was met with a flat, unbothered "hi..." from the girl in the green dress, who immediately turned back to her conversation with the woman behind the counter. I browsed quietly, giving the benefit of the doubt--again--while they carried on, clearly uninterested. Another woman walked in and was promptly helped--likely because she matched the aesthetic. I, in contrast, was overlooked entirely. When I walked out, the same girl, parked in front of the counter like an immobile house pet with selective vision, actively avoided eye contact and said nothing. No goodbye, no thanks, not even a glance. Message received. Maybe it was the tattoos. Maybe the black clothing. Maybe just the assumption that I wouldn't be spending anything. Wild, considering I had every reason to judge her in that pretend "old money" dress--but didn't, and that's beside the point. You've lost a customer, and the referrals I was more than happy to send your way (most of which do actually fit your aesthetic). Still, I genuinely hope the shop survives--though with a hidden location, zero visibility from the street, and an overwhelming number of sale tags (which tracks--$50 for matches?), I wouldn't bet on it.
