Over the last two weeks I have combing through my closet to see if there were more items that I donate...found more items. I also parted ways with a floral arrangement I made about 20 years ago. Yes, I know, it was time to separate myself from the floral arrangement. There is something to be said about emotional attachment to items that you made by hand. Not really worth a trip. Goodwill prices have been going up, but I was going to check out this boutique in the hopes that they had a better selection for the price. If you're traveling down Far West Boulevard you'll come across this small boutique Goodwill in the chimney corners strip center. I've been to a couple of other boutique Goodwill's and this is one of the largest at about 3000 ft.². They do have a decent selection of pretty much everything you would find at a normal Goodwill, however, their prices are definitely higher than your average warehouse sized Goodwill. For example, T-shirts which should sell between 3 to 5 dollars are marked a couple dollars higher and neck ties are over $10 each. I was glad to see you do not need to ask for a key to gain access to the bathrooms and they do have three dressing rooms. If you're an avid thrift store fan and you find yourself in the area, it's worth stopping in. Lots of photos for added dimension. read more

The staff works hard, the store is clean and nicely merchandised. The signage still says boutique but though you will occasionally find a gem or two, more often the clothing racks are full of Old Navy, junky Chinese brands and Target. One of the cutest boutiques tucked in a quiet neighborhood. Home decor is sparse but carefully curated. Got a unicorn piggy bank dropped from $13 to $5 because the cap to hold the money in was missing. Awesome service! Also, scored some mens Levi's dark wash jeans that feel like velvet! This is a very good Goodwill. It is a large, well-organized location.  I found a good selection of both genders' clothes for all ages.  I saw a huge collection of clothes, an electronics section, and even home products. There is a good number of registers, too. The dressing rooms were very clean and unmonitored (at the time I arrived). It is in a fairly large shopping center so parking is very easy as well. read more

This Goodwill location features a little more upscale items than your usual Goodwill. As a boutique it features mostly clothing with higher value brands, and does offer clothing for all genders and ages. I was surprised by the amount of swim suits and exercise clothing available. Accessories include jewelry, ties, shoes, belts, and more. It was easy to get in and out of the dressing room since there were three available. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also have some home decor, kitchenware, books, movies, music, and electronics. There is a donation center located on the side to accept all goods. I plan to come back when I am looking for a dress shirt or pants. I took off a star due to the general cleanliness. The items are organized and kept off the floor, but there was just a lot of dust. Much nicer items are donated to this location and I for one enjoy taking my time exploring the isles. You have to go often to find the best deals (if I haven't taken them yet) but I guarantee you will eventually stumble o something you always wanted. Why GW Boutique is unlike any other thrift store: 1) It doesn't smell like one. At all. This really threw me off at first. I really thought I'd wandered into another place by mistake. 2) It's extremely clean. Nary a dust bunny anywhere. 3) The interior is flooded with natural light and feels very open and airy. 4) The changing rooms are downright swanky. Lovely light fixtures and beautiful wallpaper contribute to a feeling of luxuriousness. 5) Care and attention are evident everywhere. The clothes are like new. The shoes have been cleaned and put out in gleaming rows. The dishes and ceramics have been wiped and are clustered invitingly on tables throughout the store. 6) Brand names are big. Clothes and shoes with designer labels are for sale here. 7) Friendly customer service. Counter staff greets people when they walk in the door. The manager walks around and invites suggestions/input for a better shopping experience. Yes, I'm a fan. read more

It's been a long time coming but finally the Northwest Hills Goodwill Boutique is here! Today's grand opening featured drawings for gift certificates, a nice array of fruits, crackers and cheese (sadly, no wine) and a free 15 minute neck massage. I'm always looking for a bargain (and a good neck massage) and many can be found here. The store carries lots of clothing, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, LOFT and other name brands. Several large displays of glassware are scattered through the store, lots of shoes, and some very cute hats (if you are a hat person which I am not) as well as racks of purses. Last year, The Kid had his acoustic guitar stolen and today I found a perfect replacement, a Yamaha F-310 for $99. I saw a Husky tool kit missing a few pieces for $12.99 which I think is a great price but did not purchase it. I'm not a tool person but I think a hammer costs more than that. read more

I don't know who's in charge of the floor now, but the store has graduated to boutique status. During my visit a couple weeks ago I was impressed with a rack of designer jeans. Citizens of Humanity, Paige, 7 for All Mankind, etc for $20-$25. THIS is what I expected from the name of the store! The dressing room was a mess, but hey, still a great visit! read more

This Goodwill is a boutique in Northwest Hills. It's small and only carries "high end" items. It's got a lot of stuff for a small space and often brand new items. The service is always really friendly and I love coming here for random finds. read more

A well-kept store on the smaller side with the best of the bunch plucked from your usual Goodwill. So expect to pay a little more than a typical Goodwill run because these aren't worthless or broken items, they're actually nice. But you'll still find decent prices! I like coming back every so often to see what's new. No complaints here. read more

As a disclaimer, I am an avid thrifter. How are the prices? Most are actually just a bit more expensive than the rest of the Goodwills with some exceptions for exceptionally nice clothing. Pros: Less scouring through rows of clothing, no thrift store smell. Feels like a consignment store. Clothes are like-new, not very worn. Cons: No thrill of the find, no maternity sections (and almost no kids' section), no vintage clothing. read more

I'll give it three stars solely because the people greet you when you come in and treat you nicely. When someone WELCOMED me at a GOODWILL, I felt like reaching for the Q-Tips. That literally never....NEVER...happens. It's also kept very nice, like a boutique, imagine that, and so the shopping experience is a little more pleasant than the urine-smelling thrifting experience you can normally expect to have. That said, thirteen bucks for a pair of Forever 21 shorts with menstrual blood stains? ....Just who prices these things? C'mon now. Nothing in this store is reasonably priced. You'll find some designer finds, Marc by Marc Jacobs or Paige denim.....But it's always going to be priced way higher than it should be. They'll take unwanted cosmetic bags that someone received in a department store giveaway and try to charge you $8 for it. If you're going to pay that kind of money, might as well buy something brand new! read more

What makes it a boutique? They have sorted through the clothes and those with the name brands, from Gap to department store brands like Calvin Klein, are only carried at this location. The same is true for shoes. It looked like they also carried new shoes; the day we went they had new, fancy UGG high-heels. Not my style, but I am sure someone will just be thrilled to find them. They also have some books, nice plates, and decor. While the selection is small, it is nice and in good shape. The store is kempt (even the dressing rooms) and organized which is attributed to, I assume, its newness, low-traffic and courteous shoppers. The salesfolk are very nice and helpful. read more

I am not sure what to expect of a "boutique" because I am just not that fancy but I loved the way this place felt as you walked in. It could be comparable to an Urban Outfitters. We did not find anything in particularly special about this place when it came to clothes or accessories but they definitely had a lot of furniture! They had a few nice wooden desks, some nice vintage-style lamps(which we got one of), some cute little posters and paintings that were well-kept enough to consider putting in your home, and even a nice area with outdoor accessories for your home like reefs and patio stuff. If you live near the area then it's definitely worth just stopping in and killing some time here. Now honestly if you are in search of a good "find" or in search of particular things that you would find at a "normal" Goodwill then I am not sure if I could advise that you come to this one. This place has really gone downhill in recent years. Strange people hang out in the parking lot, menacing customers now at most times of day. The worst thing though, is that the products themselves have changed towards heavily stained/soiled products, often with strange dyes or markers used to cover up the flaws. There are actually jeans there with holes repaired with some sort of acrylic spray paint and patches...seriously? In 2018??? The workers themselves were mostly polite, but there was one older gentleman that was staring down the bodies of all the women in the store shamelessly. I had expected a little more from this store. I had always wanted to go here and i finally went with my friend yesterday. I'm not sure if they understand boutique. There were items there from Target that cost more here then Target and Target is not boutique. Also most of the things we were interested in had no price tags on them. We could hear them yelling and laughing and being really loud from the back most of the time. Very disappointing I have found better brands at regular Goodwills. read more

Cause things go fast at those prices. I found great wing chair 15 dollar that is a bargain for me. I have been greated always when I come in and everyone very helpful. Back when Mackelmore and Ryan Lewis were still in Pampers I was already thrift store shoppin' with $20 in my pocket. My fave GW was off Lake Austin Blvd but now this little "boutique" has opened nearby. Nicely arranged/organized. Super perky sales clerk that day warmly greeting each customer with a smile. You don't see THAT at every GW! Treasures abound and it deserves a repeat visit on at least a monthly basis. Only con was an almost nonexistent dress selection but things are always changing. read more

Three words: Overpriced, mediocre merchandise. I was really excited when this place opened. It happens to be super close to me and on a route I travel at least once a week if not more. But after trying it out, I almost never drop in to look at stuff. So why don't I stop by here more frequently? Well, the only thing this place really has going for it is that it is a "clean" thrift shop laid out to be more boutique-like. But even the layout isn't that great - it's hard to distinguish which clothing racks are for men or women (there aren't any signs) and the books shelves are often a disaster zone. But here's the main problem with this store - this place is way overpriced for the quality of merchandise. I'm sorry, but spending $12.99 on a pair of pants at Goodwill is still "expensive" relatively, considering I can get something new for a similar price at a Ross or Steinmart at a discount. The clothing just isn't that great. Even if the piece has a "designer" label you'll find it's poorly fitting or has some other major issue with it. Unfortunately, the management has decided to not give discounts on faulty merchandise. I found a pair of pants that actually had been busted out in the rear seam. Now if I brought a pair of pants to the Ross checkout that had a broken zipper or pulled out seam, they would discount the item. Not so at this GW Boutique! For a piece of clothing that they received for FREE, they expect "full price" for it. Seriously. Now here's what really galls me. This pair of pants that I wanted to buy not only had a seam that needed repaired where you sit down, but it looked like someone either took out a hem or creased the pants to hem them in such a way that permanent creases were imprinted on the pants legs a good 4 inches up from the bottom of the pants. I sew and was planning on repairing the seam and cutting off the bottom part of the pant anyway to make crop pants, but the pants, as is, were UNUSABLE. The checkout person would not give me a discount, however. She told me she could not but could get the manager for me. The manager was in the back. I had to wait while she came out, and then she tells me that they won't discount anything, and what they do with faulty merchandise is ship it back so it will go to the other store. I looked at her incredulously: Are you kidding me? But I'm willing to buy it NOW! She did end up discounting it but it was not official policy. How absolutely ridiculous that Goodwill refuses to discount merchandise that is unwearable at the time of sale. Either you pay full price, or they'll just ship it back to the other Goodwill. What a waste of resources and energy all around. Well, I was happy I had gotten the discount, unofficially. And then I brought the pants home and found little blood stains in the crotch area that I had missed in the store light. I'm trying to get them out but the pants may be nothing more than lounging at home pants now. Seriously! They call this a boutique but sell blood-stained pants there? Ridiculous. These pants should have never gone to the "boutique" store in the first place. It appears that all they do is sort by "designer" label and don't bother to look at the actual garment to see if it is intact or in good condition. So I'm sorry...until Goodwill actually gets some good merchandise to match the higher pricing, and allows for some leeway in price when an item is defective, I'm not likely to shop there much at all. I can't believe that a store that sells things it has been GIVEN for free can't discount defective items. Has to be the most ridiculous policy ever invented by a store. Supposedly this is a charity but you have to wonder sometimes what they really spend that money on. It's not like I'm seeing disabled people working there, which is what I thought Goodwill was about. Bad taste in my mouth. Not the fault of anyone I dealt with working there, usually they are nice and friendly. But whoever at the top sets the policy and pricing should rethink their strategy. read more

The management has changed 3 times recently. Pricing continues to be an issue. Case in point, now all belts are $5.99. Doesn't matter the condition, leather or pleather. Pricing is still crazy high in my opinion for used items, I added a star because the store is always neat and clean. read more

I love this place. After several floods in my apartment I've had to replace several items and I have always found great stuff here. Most of the stuff in my apartment now are from this GW Boutique. From household items, to clothing and tons of books. I even did some Christmas shopping here because a lot of the items are brand new and still in original packaging or with tags.Great store, great finds! read more

Nothing worth looking at this store. For a Boutique there should be lots of high end designer clothing, only to them Tommy Hilfiger is as high end as it gets and they want $15 a shirt! For a better selection head down to the one at Lamar/Koening about 2 miles down 2222 for your high end desinger needs and finds. read more

Yeah - I decided to check this place out even after reading on here that the prices were higher. I don't mind paying higher prices for quality used clothing. Walking in, the store was pretty dirty. There were dust bunnies everywhere. The clothing was super out of style and the prices were very high for what they had. I found one shirt that I liked but it was $18 for Forever 21. The selection is very small and well... I won't be going back. I don't recommend this location. read more
