If you're traveling down Far West Boulevard you'll come across this small boutique Goodwill in the chimney corners strip center. I've been to a couple of other boutique Goodwill's and this is one of the largest at about 3000 ft.². They do have a decent selection of pretty much everything you would find at a normal Goodwill, however, their prices are definitely higher than your average warehouse sized Goodwill. For example, T-shirts which should sell between 3 to 5 dollars are marked a couple dollars higher and neck ties are over $10 each. I was glad to see you do not need to ask for a key to gain access to the bathrooms and they do have three dressing rooms. If you're an avid thrift store fan and you find yourself in the area, it's worth stopping in. Lots of photos for added dimension.

One of the cutest boutiques tucked in a quiet neighborhood. Home decor is sparse but carefully curated. Got a unicorn piggy bank dropped from $13 to $5 because the cap to hold the money in was missing. Awesome service! Also, scored some mens Levi's dark wash jeans that feel like velvet! Fair prices all around!

A good selection of home decor

I love the concept of this store. It's small and has a lot of stuff but felt tidy and organized. I only went one time but I could see the possibility of finding some great items if you check in often!

I like going to the GW Boutique because they have great items. The items are prices higher but you could always find something ice for yourself. And it's it's goodwill so you never know what's going to be on the racks.

Come on in and find something cool!

It's been a long time coming but finally the Northwest Hills Goodwill Boutique is here! Today's grand opening featured drawings for gift certificates, a nice array of fruits, crackers and cheese (sadly, no wine) and a free 15 minute neck massage. I'm always looking for a bargain (and a good neck massage) and many can be found here. The store carries lots of clothing, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, LOFT and other name brands. Several large displays of glassware are scattered through the store, lots of shoes, and some very cute hats (if you are a hat person which I am not) as well as racks of purses. Last year, The Kid had his acoustic guitar stolen and today I found a perfect replacement, a Yamaha F-310 for $99. I saw a Husky tool kit missing a few pieces for $12.99 which I think is a great price but did not purchase it. I'm not a tool person but I think a hammer costs more than that.

The worlds most expensive Goodwill. Prices are higher than full retail for used products. Skip it!

Verrrrry disappointing. It's set up like a boutique, but the items mainly were cheap. I would not waste my time here.

As the mother of a rescue dog who was going to be euthanized, I am 100% behind everything this thrift store stands for. In fact, every 6 months when I overhaul my closet, I donate A LOT of clothing, shoes, and accessories to the store in support of the cause. I also like to swing by as part of my North Loop jaunt (every few months, hit up North Loop stores and pubs---to include APA!) to make purchases. Found quite a few cute things here over the years not only for myself but friends and family. They've got an amazing selection of items and each time I pop in they seem to have loads more. My collection has dwindled over the years through breakage. So I was thrifting looking for pink depression glass. The Burnet Road location is large, well organized with two-stories of items. It is filled with just about anything that you can imagine. Clothing...they have it! Shoes...they have it! Vintage items...they have it! Kitchen and house wears...they have it! Unfortunately, no pink depression glass. I will definitely return to thrift here due to their large selection of things. In addition, their prices are very reasonable. First stop Austin Pets Alive! - Burnet. I learned that all net sale proceeds go directly to support Austin Pets Alive!'s lifesaving programs for animals most at risk. Their clear mission is saving animals' lives, which is so heartwarming. According to staff, Austin Pets Alive! is known for pioneering innovative programs that help keep pets out of euthanasia and place them into loving homes. The Burnet Road location plays a critical role in sustaining those efforts by serving as a critical funding source for the organization's work across Central Texas.

Anyway, I love Room Service and have been coming here for years. Long before I relocated to Austin from the East Coast. It's part of my North Loop Jaunt where I hit up all my fave places in the neighborhood every few months or so. Prior to relocating, I'd visit Austin twice a year and always made time to stop in. This is one of the most inspiring and well laid out vintage stores ever. You can just get lost for hours. So many ideas for home decor and styling. They've always got a grand selection of MCM (Mid-Century Modern) furniture and accessories. My house is 99% MCM. They've really just got the best collection of everything. Trinkets, knickknacks, patches, light fixtures, dishes, mirrors, art, clothing, records, jewelry...you get my drift. Service is so super friendly and welcoming. I am particularly fond of the pro-trans sign in the entrance window!! Everything they carry is in very good to pristine condition and pricing is reflective. With that said, the prices are extremely fair. I can't recommend Room Service enough. Support local. Support small business. Sustainability. Be creative.

It's also been sitting in my draft reviews for quite awhile (for those of you tracking). Started coming here a couple of years ago, around 2023 and just love it. It's a smaller store but they have lots of well-curated pieces and a really good selection of formal wear, dresses, skirts, jewelry, etc. I was prompted to take care of this draft review and a few others today because of a dress in the window here. A friend was recently in town visiting and asked that I go back and get a picture of the dress in the window. She is thinking about purchasing it (or having me purchase it and send it to her lol). Anyway, here's something to know: items displayed in the window have waitlists for folks intersting in purchasing. Anytime I have been in the shop, including today, service is friendly and helpful.
