Tried getting a side walk and back patio with pavers put in but ended in not happening. Had all the project laid out on paper and got the approval from my HOA get the project on the road. But tried handful times to get a proper proposal to sign but they couldn't give me one. Ended up in a group chat with everyone on the project and still couldn't get any where just excuses that the company is having changes ect ect. The manager (Mike) from the office got moody when I asked if I need to go else where because I couldn't get proper paper to sign which I feel is unprofessional from someone that's in charge. I'd avoid the company since communication at the office level is poor and I'd be nervous to see what kind of work they would actually do after the fact. read more

This was the worst contractor I've ever used in Jacksonville. They only had a Foreman onsite for a couple hours on one day during a $40K+ two week long project. They left the grill wall on the extended back pation unfinshed, and their management is exceptionally poor at communicating with their customers. Buyer Beware! read more

This company did a project for me a couple of years ago and it looked fantastic. Just recently my next door neighbor had an inspection and they found that the pavers were built directly up to the wall of their house causing water retention since it is a water drainage area. We ultimately had to pay a contractor $200 to come out and take a row of the pavers out to assist with drainage. I never asked for the $200 back but I did ask the owner multiple times if he would be able to come out and ensure the integrity of the remaining pavers and after a couple of weeks of the runaround he said it would cost me an additional $800 for him to have a crew come out to look at it. He proceeded to tell me that it has been two years and I should have known better than to build up to the neighbors wall (for the record I am not a handyman, contractor, etc or I would have done the project myself) and when I mentioned that my next step would be to document it on google review, yelp, etc he then told me that his wife was an attorney and if I wrote negative reviews he would take legal action against me. Writing truthful consumer reviews is not a crime and it's incredibly offensive that he would take this so far when I just wanted to make sure I didn't lose the project he built. From the estimator, Jesse, to the owner Mike and Anne the Project coordinator to our project manager Orlando and the team of 4 brothers that worked on our backyard, every one was amazing! Very professional and patient with us when we became anxious about our project and getting it started. To say that they exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond for us is an understatement!! We are so happy with the work they did and our yard looks so much bigger and nicer!! I especially appreciate that unlike other companies that came out, they gave us suggestions on a final lay out that worked with our budget and our current space and I'm so happy we went with Jesse's suggestions. Most other companies only considered doing one level which would have cost us way more since our yard was downward sloping. But Earthscapes made it so that we could have basically three tiers and the final look is elegant and spacious. And the best is that it fit perfectly into our budget. Thank you all!! read more

Earthscapes did a great job on our driveway and sidewalks. They did a great job with the design and laying out the driveway. They also provided everything we needed to submit to our HOA for approval. These are big projects and messy no matter how you look at it. But the teams did really well and tried to keep things as clean as they could by the end of day. They even relocated our sprinkler system system and found our cable wire and made sure they did not cut it. The end product was fantastic and better than expected. We have many neighbors that have come up to us saying how nice it looks and who did it. We did have a couple of things that needed to be fixed and they were on it and sent a service person back within a week to fix everything. Very pleased. read more

!!!!!!!!!!!Stop!! Read! Earthscapes Design Build, LLC is the most unreliable, unprofessional, disrespectful company I've ever dealt with across all industries. I stated my expectation for a 4" base (Industry standard 4"-6" for patio pavers), on the day Josh (sales rep) quoted me as well as the day the work started. He did not object. On day 1 workers arrived at my house, did not ring my bell and proceeded to my back yard. Workers were not fluent in English so I had to get my Latino neighbor to communicate with them. I found out they intended to install a 2" base. Verbal contracts with this company mean squat! After day one of them working, I voiced my concern to Josh and the owner Mike about the job (2" base at my waterfront property, badly damaged pavers, discolored pavers). He assured me all issues would be resolved by end of job, "let my guys work". Day two again workers arrived and did not come to front door, just walked to my back yard like they lived here. I came outside to greet them and give them water but besides that, I let them work undisturbed for the duration of the day as Josh requested. They left job without saying a word as they did on day one. No paver care information. No quality assurance; just nothing. When I inspected the pavers, all the concerns I voiced to Josh and the owner had occurred. Excess lippage on pavers, badly damaged pavers, my seating wall blocks were loose, trash left in yard on my grass. I immediately contacted the company to fix the issues. This was about a $9,000 job. He said someone would come by and fix immediately and the next day everyone was a no-show. I told them I took the day off from work and no one showed up to fix pavers or pick up trash like we discussed. No one called, no one responded. I took my family to the movies that same night, and when I returned, someone had come onto my property to retrieve the remaining stone and pick up the trash. I called Josh furious asking for the curtesy to call me before they send people onto my property; Especially since they were a no-show that day for repairs as promised. HE RAISED HIS VOICE AND CURSED AT ME! HE ALSO SAID THEY WOULD BE ON MY PROPERTY THE FOLLOWING DAY TO MAKE REPAIRS AFTER I ASKED HIM NOT TO SINCE I HAD TO WORK. I EXPLAINED I DIDN'T WANT ANYONE AT MY HOUSE SINCE I HAD MY KIDS HOME ALONE AS WELL AS I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO CHECK THEIR QUALITY OF REPAIRS. HE STILL SAID HE DIDN'T CARE AND PLANNED ON SENDING WORKERS OVER TO MY HOUSE. I HAD TO THREATEN TO CALL THE COPS IF HE TRESPASSED ON MY PROPERTY WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION! A few days later they sent one guy over, ill equipped to make the requested repairs. I had to loan him a hammer that he pummeled damaged pavers with to get them out for replacement. After he left, there were still uneven pavers, my seating wall stones were still not glued down, pavers were rocking, and the edge boundary was washing out. My girlfriend concerned they would come back and vandalize our property if we refused to pay (any businessman who curses at their clients are capable of anything) made me pay them the balance for the project against my will. As expected, it has been now 2 months since I've been trying to get them here to make repairs. They wont even respond now. I had to pay someone else to come and fix their work. SO MUCH FOR THAT PROMISED WARRANTY. I was respectful with the company, polite in my messages and undeserving of the quality/customer service/treatment I received. Terrible experience. I will NEVER, trust Angies List again. A rating, when they should have been an F! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

The completed project looks absolutely stunning!The team showed up every day on time and worked throughout the day stopping only for lunch. All are incredibly hard working. We had a few expected rain delays but they still managed to complete everything on time. The area was picked up each night which was very impressive. Our new paver driveway, front porch and back walkway have added tremendous curb appeal and value to our property. It was a large project which could have been extremely stressful but Orlando was very professional and reassuring and always responded within seconds to my text or phone call. That alone is remarkable. Great company and great results. We highly recommend them! read more

The work was done in amazing time and was absolutely beautiful. My review would be five stars had the interaction stopped there but it didn't. There was a miscommunication regarding a row of retaining blocks we asked to to be placed next to the patio. This wall was one block wide and 31 feet long. When we saw the wall was not installed, we reminded the workers that it was missing. Within 30 minutes, the wall was done. The day after everything was done we got a phone call from the person who quoted the job (Josh) and he proceeded to berate us for trying to "rob them and get something for free" and that we would hear from their lawyers. We were at a loss and had never been treated so rudely by a business. We distinctly remember asking for the wall to be included. We received no drawings, nor an itemized quote except for the specific work to be done and took him at his word. We were supposed to have a step and we did not get a step, but that was ok. The job manager, Eduardo was simply amazing. He worked with us because he knew we were going to have our driveway and sidewalks redone, and was completely professional all the time. I called, sent messages regarding any additional monies owed, but have not received any response. If you can get them to price the job and not involve Josh (Shaver) then by all means, the work will be spectacular. Get everything in writing. Eduardo and his team will make sure you receive quality product and service. read more

WARNING!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS INCOMPETENT BUNCH! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! MILITARY DO NOT USE!!! We saved up for 2 years to have a brick patio done and got cheated out of our money and only got an ugly, uneven, sloppy job of a patio!!! For over 3 months now we have been trying to get these jerks to come back to fix the damages done to our yard! Countless unanswered calls nor return messages, 15+ emails (most unanswered), and photos sent and ignored. Patio looks like crap! Uneven and bricks just thrown down randomly. Workers came out and didn't even have the proper dimensions on the job. We had to play job site supervisors to workers who didn't speak English. Plus they showed up without even notifying us and walked into our backyard with knocking on the door first! My husband asked multiple times if they would put something down because they were tracking back and forth through our front lawn and they said they would and never did. Tore up our lawn, left rocks, chunks of bricks, dried concrete chunks and concrete dust all over our yard, cars, and side yard. Dried concrete on our city Water value and our neighbor's city water valve. Again, after multiple attempts to get them to come out and correct the messed up patio and destroyed lawn the so call owner "Mike" sent an email insulting us by asking if we would like $50 dollars to cleanup some rocks! And continuously repeated "per the contract" and Josh claiming my patio looked "Great" to him so Mike took his word over our word of a VERY unsatisfied customer! And as if that $50 bucks would even cover 1/10 of the cost we ended paying a landscaper who informed us the dried powder of the concrete soaked into the soil and damaged The grass and soil as well as the rocks that couldn't just be removed for $50 bucks, so it had to be ripped up and replaced! These jerks will cheat you out of your money, they're unprofessional, and RUDE! We are now having to take this to our legal department on base. This is how they treated a military family! read more
