DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!! Our dogs have been groomed by multiple different places. They have had the full treatment including teeth cleaning, nail trims and hair cuts at multiple different places. Our dogs have never had any issues. The exact opposite actually, all groomers have had nothing but kind things to say about my dogs. We tried this place and the groomer claims our dog bit them and they could only do the hair cuts. Our dog has never bitten anyone, it makes me question what these people did to my dog to make him feel scared. I'm actually very concerned of their treatment of my dog. If my dog had done anything like this before of course I would understand that my dog should just be groomed by us, but the fact that this is the first place in the 5 years we've had him is very worrisome. Safe to say we will never bring our dogs back and recommend no one bring their animals here! On top of this! Angie left us a voicemail that if we did not take our review down she would file a dog bite report! I do not like threats and think it's disgusting a business owner would say something like that! She specifically stated "if the review is not down by 1 pm tomorrow we will file the report" There's something called freedom of speech! The purpose of reviews is to talk about an experience. I stated nothing but my experience and you want me to remove it? I also think it's disgusting that you would use filing reports as a way to gain something you want done. Especially because our dog is the sweetest dog you can ever meet! I uploaded a picture of him being very "vicious" To the owners reply: Ma'am check your facts before replying. We lived in california and moved to texas obviously that's going to be a change of groomers no matter what. When your employees called you first said it was the "little one" hank that bit your employee. When my dad went and picked up the dogs you then said it was homer. He asked if skin broke, your employees said no. Then you tell animal control they did break skin and all of a sudden had a picture. You continuously show how incompetent you are as a business owner and groomer. I think you should spend more time learning how to deal and groom dogs before spending so much time commenting back to your negative review SHARING their experiences. That still doesn't explain why you would basically blackmail us into removing this TRUE review and giving us a timed deadline. I am giving earthwise grooming a one star I was going to this groomer for a while and moved away for a year and then returned in December and was so happy to see my groomer again tory. Well i took my maltipoo back his name is winston and they told me my groomer left and went to Hollywood and placed him with someone who was with the company a long time and said we would like her. The first thing I said was same cut but do not cut him where skin shows and this is what i got. She even told me she could not finish his nail clipping and that I should take him to the groomer that did him before. which I plan to. The groomer was named Cindy but I have never had my pet look so poorly in the years i have had him groomed and will not be returning to this business again. Since zero stars are not an option, I gave them 1. This place has gone downhill over the last 4 years. I have continued to use them solely because it's conveniently located near my house but will no longer use their services after my experience this week. I called Monday evening to make a nail trim appointment for one of my dogs who has high anxiety. I was told they do not do nail trim appointments and to stop in anytime during business hours. I shared that due to anxiety issues with any kind of service, our vet prescribes Trazadone to take the edge off her nervous system and this is a "timing" game so having an appointment is useful. The staff member reiterated they don't take appointments for nails. So I showed up Tuesday at 4:15 and we were turned away because the groomer on site was leaving at 5 and was busy with another animal. I offered to wait it out if she would be willing to spare 5 minutes before she left. The answer was final flat no. I was so angry I told him to cancel my other dogs full groom services scheduled for Friday and asked for the managers number. When I connected with the manager she said the clerk gave me bad intel. Later that day, a friend of mine who is a member of the a local private Facebook Group for groomers sent me a screenshot of a post on the DFW Groomers Facebook page "warning" other groomers of me. She claimed the dog was sedated (NOT) and aggressive (NOT) and completely failed to acknowledge their customer service FAIL that got us all in this situation. The happy ending is I hired a mobile groomer (Pampered Pooch) who came to my home yesterday and provided 5 STAR+ SERVICE. Highly recommend trying Pampered Pooch. read more

The male groomer injured my dog using hot clippers! He cut off a nipple and cut her female parts! He dragged her thru the store to cage her. I find him rude and abusive ! I complained to management . They promised he would have no contact with my dog. They implied he was no longer employed there. I walked out last week after he came to check in my dog. I posted a similar review on their website and the took it down. They have threatened other customers that leave bad reviews. I have pictures to prove everything and more that I am posting! Was harassed by staff and they didn't even do what was agreed upon. DO NOT GO HERE! Was supposed to groom my dog then charged my husband $70 to wash him ALL WITHOUT NOTIFYING US. We did not agree to that or approve the transaction. Didn't groom him or trim his nails or fur because he's "hyper". They didn't dry him and was told they put him in the kennel to air dry. Said he was washed and brushed and he has knots everywhere now. If you can't do what you said then at least call and let us know so we can make an informed decision instead of ambushing us when we get there and then not giving us our dog until we pay a ridiculous amount of money to throw water on the dog. The woman gets mad at my husband because he's frustrated and she starts recording him and then proceeds to insult me while I'm sitting on the floor petting the sweet cat up for adoption. I had not spoken or commented on the situation. Lady proceeds to record myself and my husband while yelling and insulting both of us and telling him to get out while they still have our dog. Husband had told her to shut up and stop but she kept antagonizing him. Then you bring in someone who wasn't even involved in your dispute and then you insult me and say my husband abuses me and treats me like trash is abhorrent. I have been bringing my three dogs to Earthwise Pet for about two years now. I have a german shepherd mix that tends to be a little nervous when he's separated from me but Sydney always takes great care of him! My work schedule is erratic but the staff is always incredibly helpful with getting an appointment that works for us. Took my one-year-old pup for his first grooming here and was called and asked to come back within 15 minutes of drop off because they couldn't "handle" him. My dog has a lot of anxiety and was obviously very nervous and they couldn't even bother to try to calm him down. Instead they left him in a kennel full of his own poop and unsupervised. The front desk person was super rude on the phone and had zero patience when I asked for clarification. Then, I showed up and did the self-wash expecting not to be charged for the inconvenience and was asked to pay full price when I was about to leave. When I told the cashier that I was unsatisfied that they had left my dog in his own poop and then had to clean him all myself she simply said "yeah, but we have to clean the poop." Super rude and unprofessional. What kind of dog groomer doesn't know how to calm a puppy down? Don't waste your time. Never going back. Response: First of all, if there is a language barrier, there is no need to be rude about it. And there was no real language barrier because we speak English but because we asked for the definition of one term and have an accent, you decided to rudely assume we couldn't understand you, which was not true and quite prejudiced. Second of all, you asked for the records during the initial drop off (not before it) and I was on the process of sending it through email when you called us to come back. Like I said, you took fifteen short minutes to decide you couldn't get the job done. Next, you can't call yourself a professional pet grooming business if you have no experience dealing with pet behavior. If you expect to work with only perfectly behaved pets that don't poop then, I kindly suggest a different field. Finally, somebody that goes online and reads every bad review and instead of apologizing, fights back and blames the customer clearly has no interest in creating good customer-business relationships, so don't expect people to have interest in your business. read more

I went here because it's a mile from my home and was recommended. When i went to pay today for my two dogs the cost was 20.00 per dog more than I expected. Almost 200.00 total! I was told it's because they are cocker spaniels, however I just had them completely shaved, no cocker cut. I have had cockers for 20 years and have never paid almost 100.00 to have them shaved. Carless employees. Poor communication. The employees of this store gave something that was attached to my dogs leash and meant the world to me to another pet owner. After supposedly contacting the other pet owner and them agreeing to bring the item back to the store, I was told by the store "manager" that the other pet owner threw the item away. I feel the store "manager" made up this story to get me to stop calling the store for updates on getting this item back. I called the store every day and asked to speak to the "manager" and it took him over a week to get a story together. I took my dog to be groomEd and when I picked him up I noticed that the groomer was nervous when she was giving me my dog. she told me that his ears had few knots so she cut it. The next day my husband realized that under my dog chin have a big patchy spot. We were so shocked. My dog was very sad and doesn't want to eat. To make this story short They asked to email them a picture. They said that it looks like it's a hotspot really? but the groomer was arguing with me that my dog had knots now hotspot how strange . According to the groomer she said that my dog had a big knot so she had to shaved it off that's not true my dog didn't had any knots. We went back and forth why she had to shaved him. My dog never had knots or matted under his chin before. Then she called back and left a msg that she only comb his hair that she did shaved. So some how the story changes . I called the vet and they said it sounds like my dog was burned with the hot clippers. Earthwise never apologiz. I asked for my money back and no nothing. I am taking my dog to the vet. I hope I will get my money back after I show them the results from the vet. read more

We love that this store is so close to our home with all the services and supplies that are needed. We purchase our dog's favorite food there. The self serve dog washing area is great and my dog does great there. I even pick up cat toys there for my mothers cat. If you use one of the big box pet places, give them a try just once. You will probably like not having to run all over the store for stuff. Also, the staff is always great. read more

The staff is very friendly and nice, but giving three stars because I took my Yorkie there for grooming and he was cut three times, one of them in the face, first time in nine years of grooming. Also when I gave tip I told them 18% and they charge me $18. Noticed all of this once I got home. I don't typically leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience for those considering Earthwise for grooming. I've taken my golden retriever several times and was always so pleased with the grooming by May. My schedule changed and couldn't get in to see May since her schedule is limited so I went to Kristen today for my dogs grooming. When I brought my dog home, I noticed Kristen didn't trim my dogs back paw pad. His ears hadn't been touched. I asked to use hypoallergenic shampoo and my dog smells very strong so I know she didn't use it. She also failed to clip and grind my dog nails. It took her 4.5 hours when it usually takes 2.5 hours. I'm not for sure, but I believe he was kept in a crate to dry. All of this for 102.00 dollars and a $10 tip. I called to share my concerns with the manager and there was no attempt to make it right. I really like the store but they lost a customer today forever. read more

These bad reviews are very much true about the grooming here and partucularly their groomer Andreas. Please beware going to Andreas to have your dog groomed at Earthwise off of Stonebrook Pkwy and 423, as you could risk your dog being injured or traumatized by him. He traumatized my standard poodle. My dog is the most dosile, sweet demeanor dog and anyone we know always compliments how friendly and well behaved he is. He has never met a stranger and would never bite anyone. My dog had literally came in two weeks before to get washed by one of the other staff at earthwise and they complimented how perfectly my dog sat and how well behaved he was throughout his wash/dry. This time when he came into get groomed by Andreas two weeks after he his bath , our dog came running out of the door, then whimpering and crying the entire drive home. This is not a dog that ever whimpers and cries. The only time he has whimpered is when he was neutered as a puppy so we knew something was seriously wrong as we drove home. We then noticed when we got home a little while later, that he had tender areas under his mouth on his neck that he didn't want touched, where Andreas had cut him so short that he injured our dog. He then also had a red mark on the top of his nose. It became progressively redder like a dark bruise, and appears as if Andreas had pressed the clippers down so hard on the boney part of his nose that he bruised him. The haircut was not cut well either. That was not the concern for us though. The biggest concern is that my dog has experienced exactly what these other bad reviews have said about Andreas injuring their dog during grooming. Andreas alleged that my dog was trying to bite him just like the other reviews on here. I find this odd that my dog does not bite and that the other reviews are saying the same thing about Andreas telling dog owners that their dogs bite, then noticing injury to the dog after a haircut with him. I called the owner of Earthwise and she really didn't seem concerned and acted like no one had ever reported this before and backed up Andreas. Yet the reviews on here are saying the same exact thing that we experienced. This is by far the scariest and worst experience we have ever had with our dog. I almost didn't write a review because I didn't think it would really do anything as the owner didn't seem to care at all when calling her about it. However, when I read the other poor reviews on here who had the same exact experience with Andreas with their dog being injured and traumatized; this is obviously not just a one time occurrence with Andreas doing this during groomings. I want people to know so they don't have their dog hurt because the owner did not care one bit and is clearly allowing him to continue doing this to animals. No haircut is worth this. read more
