These are the best groomers I have had the pleasure of bringing my dogs to. I have used too many to count before I found these wonderful people. I have 2 standard Schnauzers and they don't like to be groomed but these folks make quick work and they look amazing. I plan to bring the pups to them for good. Besides being wonderful with the dogs they also are wonderful to me. They work with my schedule and get them in around my schedule too! I can't recommend them enough!

They do an amazing job with my Newfypoo mini. They are prompt Look how cute he is.

I recently took my puppy to Top Dog Pet Grooming and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and distressing. Upon picking up my puppy, I was informed in a disrespectful manner that she had been nicked during the grooming process, despite clear evidence that the injury was more severe than described. The owner, EJ, handled the situation in an unprofessional manner, showing a lack of empathy and failing to de-escalate the distressing circumstances. Not only did my puppy require overnight care and sutures due to the severity of the cut, but she also needed to undergo a procedure requiring anesthesia. This resulted in an unexpected financial burden of $812.01 that I had to cover out of pocket first and hope I would be reimbursed the next day by the grooming salon, and I was. The lack of accountability and empathy displayed by the owner and staff of Top Dog Pet Grooming is deeply concerning. It is evident that the grooming establishment failed to provide a safe and professional environment for the animals in their care. The disregard for the well-being of my puppy and the dismissive manner in which the situation was handled are inexcusable. I strongly advise pet owners to avoid Top Dog Pet Grooming due to the evident lack of competence and professionalism displayed by the staff and management. The distressing experience I endured, coupled with the subsequent financial burden and emotional strain, is something no pet owner should have to go through. In conclusion, the lack of accountability, professionalism, and empathy demonstrated by Top Dog Pet Grooming is deeply troubling. I urge prospective clients to consider alternative grooming facilities that prioritize the safety and well-being of the animals under their care. Attention to detail is one thing that I look for here are the details : -He cut her with his blades -He was disgusting rather than apologetic -He let her sit there hurt and cut and waited for the area to dry up, covering the spot -He told me she was fine and take her to the vet if I felt differently -I paid for the service -She needed to go under anesthesia, have three stitches and provided medication for the procedure -I have to give her a pill once every day, until it runs out for four days -Liquid medication is also provided and given in a syringe every 8 to 12 hours as needed for pain control -My puppy has a cone around her head to make sure she doesn't agitate the stitches -She is unable to eat, play and be comfortable -Her visit to the vet was $812.01

I have been going to this place for quite some time, even though I was hesitant at first because of a review someone posted about their dog's nail bleeding profusely. Still, this crew earned my trust over the years-- so much so that I have four dogs registered with them. They do great work; I will acknowledge that. I do not like posting bad reviews but I have to post this as a warning for all dogs who have special situations: In October, my aunt passed away and my family took in her dog. One of the first things we did was take her to get groomed, forgetting she has a skin tag near her mane. Strike one was totally our fault because we did not communicate her circumstance. Strike two happened again on Tuesday even though we overly communicated the situation this time. One of the workers did not believe us; they claimed that "it's probably matted hair." We called them back after dropping her off to recommunicate that it is a skin tag and if it gets cut it bleeds. Now, this is not a tiny skin tag. In fact, it feels more like a growth. So, it is not difficult to miss. Nevertheless, when we got her back it was gone and this scab remained. I called the manager to express our disappointment, but he didn't want to believe me. He said that it was a scab that had already been there. If it was a scab and you all gave her a bath before shaving her, how is there dried up blood in her hair? How is it that she had a growth there before but now there is just a scab? I posted photos below for reference. He insistently denied that they had done any wrong. I am actually disheartened because I have given them so much of my business over the years and they refused to hear what I was saying. Maybe it is because of the new ownership with the Top Dawgs name change. Unfortunately, we will not be back for any of our pups.

I am EXTREMELY happy with this place. My dog was discriminated at petco bc he was showing signs of anxiety and my experience to finding a new grooming place hasn't been great. I called everywhere to see if there was availability and this is the ONLY place that took me in last minute. They were understanding of my dogs anxiousness and reactivity towards other dogs. They did not make me feel crazy instead I felt comfortable leaving him there. On top of that they were super fast and I loved my baby's haircut. I am definitely coming back again!!

I've gone here several times since I moved into my house. I've not had a problem, loved the convenience since it's right by my house. Just came back from Legacy Grooming in Frisco, got my dog inside and noticed this. I'm not mad that it happened, because sh*t like this happens. I'm mad that your *professionals* didn't catch it, or tell me about it. And I had the nerve to tip. I'm just glad that I had a doggy first aid at home that came with styptic.

I have three Great Danes and it's hard to find groomers who are willing to take them all at the same time. Legacy pet groomers always takes them In at the same time and usually at last minute too. About 95% off the time I have called I have gotten an appointment the same day that cannot be beat. My Danes are still puppies so they are pretty wild especially when they don't know how big they are and staff is always very friendly and happy to see them! That eases my mind cause I know they aren't easy to deal with. They always come out smelling super clean and nails trimmed perfectly. Best groomers in the area by far!

I was nervous at first to go to a groomer because of all the horror stories I have heard from people, but poppy came back looking very clean cut and happy when I picked her up! The employees are very nice and friendly and I really enjoyed and was glad that my pup's first experience at a groomer was an excellent one!!!

I am absolutely devastated by what happened to my dog under Helen's care. I trusted her to groom my…read morebeloved Bernese Mountain Dog, but instead, he was left injured and sick. She used harsh chemicals on him and left them on too long, which burned and irritated his skin. On top of that, she aggressively scratched him with deshedding tools, leaving him raw and in pain. Within 24 hours, my sweet happy and energetic dog became lethargic and very unwell, barely able to move and not eating or drinking. We had to rush him to the emergency vet, where we were told that his rash and sickness were caused by contaminated grooming tools and/or the harsh deshedding products that were left on him. I asked all the questions and double checked that there was nothing else that could have caused this and he doubled down on the groomer causing this harm. Hearing this from a medical professional broke my heart -- my dog suffered because of carelessness and disregard. No pet owner and more importantly no pet should ever have to go through what we did. I entrusted Helen with the health and safety of my dog, and instead, he was harmed and traumatized. Please think twice before allowing Helen to touch your dog. Our pets deserve gentle, safe, and compassionate care -- not to be put at risk. Photo is of Apollo prior to groom and then another two photos after she groomed him and he had to have portions of his coat SHAVED off because of the burns and scratch's on his skin

This service was last July, 2024. The service was extremely pricy and not very good. My usual…read moregroomer was on maternity leave so I needed a new groomer for a little while and tried out Bow Tie after seeing the reviews. Helen was sweet and Jelly was not injured during the groom. However, Helen shaved my dog Jelly all the way down due to being "too matted". Jelly had been to many other groomers before in the same state (sometimes scruffier/even more "matted") and was always able to be brushed out and given a normal cut. (I have included before and after pictures of jelly -- you will see he was NOT "matted" beyond help.) All other groomers I've had take the time to de-tangle. It felt lazy that Helen decided to not take the time to brush jelly out and instead told me she "had no choice" but to shave him completely, changing the shape of his face and tail. If I had known she would've done this, I would've taken jelly to another groomer. It took months to get him back to normal. I showed pictures that I wanted jelly to look like and it was not at all. At the end, it ended up costing over $300, and she asked me to please leave a tip too. (My usual groomer is $100, and does a MUCH better job than Bow Tie.) I understand it is difficult to run a small business but I was upset with the service. I would only recommend this service to someone who just needs their dog to be trimmed, and might not be particular about how their dog looks after. Edited to add: the reason why I'm leaving a review months later is because I was showing pictures of Helen's handiwork to my regular professional dog groomer recently, and told her about Helen's reasoning behind why she "had to" shave jelly down (Helen is the only groomer to complain about this in the four years I've had jelly & his care is largely the same) and my professional dog groomer told that it was ridiculous that jelly was shaved down for what was clearly minimal matts, and that it was clear that Jelly was not brushed down properly by Bow Tie (maltipoos require wet brushing, not the dry brushing that Bow Tie attempted, because they have curly hair and not fur).
