Over the years I have heard so much from friends and family about the positive effects of acupuncture, but never made the jump to try it. I live a very active lifestyle which isn't always the most kind to the body. Staff doesn't speak English AT ALL. During the body massage, I yelled multiple times that I was hurt but they just looked at me and smiled. Then when I came back from a facial, my face was full of acne (that were never there). They activated all the pimples on purpose, so I can go back, and now I have them permanently. I got the Advanced Therapeutic Massage Combo and was blown away by the attention to detail and care. It first kicked off with an incredible massage by Ming. The pressure was perfect, she focused on my pain areas, and didn't skip out on anything. Besides the massage, their were lots of other little things that made the service so great like air filter in the room, heated bed, warm towels, etc. After my massage, John provided the second half of the service (cupping, hot stone, gua sha, acupressure). I was looking for a couples massage for my husband and I for our 6th anniversary. I stumbled upon earthy ruby, specifically because I was also interested in getting cupping. The Pros were that they were really accommodating and kind in getting the appointment as I did have to change it 2 times. The reason for my rating is the quality of the experience. The receptionist asked me a couple times if a single room works and I had to repeat that this was for a couples massage. The massage itself felt rushed ? We got on our tables and the masseuses got started right away. The lights were not dimmed and there was no music playing until about 30 mins in when one of them realized it was too quiet, i guess. It felt like she was putting lotion on me and not oil. The lotion was cold and like I said it felt rushed. She also left my legs and feet uncovered, which was uncomfortable and left me cold. As I previously stated, I had asked for cupping and this also felt like it was just quickly done, this was my first cupping experience and I felt that it was a waste of the additional 10 bucks. They just put cups on my back and used a pumping device to add suction. She went to work on my legs and left these on and thej came back and just took them off. It didnt really do anything and left me confused. My husband had also requested cupping with his hot stone massage. He said they only used hot stones on him for 10 mins and actually gave him a deep tissue massage and never did the cupping on him. We paid 240 with tip for these massages and the overall experience was disappointing. I'd like to add that everyone was nice to speak to. I normally don't leave reviews and don't like to complain but wanted to leave something here for someone who was looking for a similar experience as me and hopefully they can improve some things. I went in for a therapeutic massage session to help with my frozen shoulder pain and left Earthy Ruby discovering about a traditional Chinese technique called cupping. Nancy H. explained the benefits and procedure before I tried it out. Never before had I even heard of cupping. So I was a bit nervous about trying something new. She made me feel completely comfortable and I was very happy with the result of the treatment provided here. It has definitely changed my focus on rehabbing this type of injury and I look forward to a few more follow-up sessions to help me get back to feeling pain free and being able to use my left arm like normal. I stumbled on this place using Groupon and ever since i love getting the hot stone massage, although sometimes i don't even get it, last time i got the cupping which was weird because it was just a suction not like the other places. The 3stars are for lily alone because she such a good massager my body was aching due to fall and although i felt offended and over thinking of what the receptionists did to me, her massage helped my pain. However, when i came in today,there was two ladies in front, the young lady was saying i could only use the groupon once. And i asked monthly or yearly, then the older lady was like a lifetime, you know we dont make money out of groupon, the way she said it seems like she was so annoyed by me. And i said oh im sorry i didn't know. The approach that she gave me made me not want to even set foot there. I always tell my coworkers these place is so good and it will leave you in a good vibe. I have been going to Theresa for about 2 months now. I have ongoing back pain and I was very unsure if massages work but since when I have been taking these massages, my pain has been manageable and reducing slowly. She is knowledgeable and makes sure she works on the area where I have the most pain. The reiki energy healing was a first for me and I felt warmth and vibration with her touch from the first moment to the last, it was very calming and relaxing and even at one point it felt like a whole body "jolt" that exited through my feet. It was intense and a huge "release". I went into deep relaxation. I also had a very comforting and thorough facial that left me rejuvenated and refreshed. The facial scalp neck massage were AMAZING.
