And when I arrived, a sweet Asian woman came out of one of the rooms. It was a very strange arrangement in the entrance. It almost looks like at one time. It was the entryway of the home that it was in. Things that were weird? She asked me to pay upfront and wanted me to put the tip on there upfront. And I told her I would do the tip afterwards. She looks surprised. When she brought me to have the massage, she brought me downstairs into the basement. There was no light on the stairs, and when we got to the basement room, she had turned on a space heater so I could be worked on. Was it cold in there? Let's just say it wasn't warm. But it wasn't freezing either. I'm just thinking she really doesn't understand massage much. She did just a lot of hand rubbing like a person rubs your back when you're crying, you know? There was no needing of my muscles. And she did keep asking me if the pressure was OK. So I did appreciate that. It just was... Mid. There are too many other places to go that are much better than she. Maybe it was just her? I don't know. I just got a really weird vibe and honestly couldn't wait to get out of there. There was however 1 masseuse (female) that was really rude for no good reason. I was having a foot massage and the place was dead, so my gf asked to sit in the massage chair next to me. One of the nice masseuses said absolutely and out of nowhere came this mean lady who pointed rudely to the chairs across the room. Then after my gf decided to join in, she got the same lady that told her to sit on the other side. Lol. I had to use the restroom at one point and my masseuse was going to stop the timer. I made sure to arrive early, which is also what they requested, because I would need to fill out a questionnaire. They asked me the necessary and appropriate questions for the massage. The massage started on time, but ended pretty abruptly, which wasn't nice. I elaborate more below. - Price. Pretty reasonable, especially given the area. Additionally, they also offer a monthly membership that guarantees you a locked lower rate of a monthly hour massage. It also allows you to rollover unused massages to the next month. Definitely helpful. - Location. Pretty convenient to other shops and restaurants. There's also a good size parking lot, which is helpful. - Health and safety. I tried to schedule my appointment online. With each attempt, I received a message that there were no available spots, so I tried the next weekend, but I received the same message. It made me wonder if they're really so booked, so I called. They were able to schedule me within my availability, which was nice. But why wasn't I able to schedule it online so easily? Not helpful. - Time. Although I scheduled a 1hr massage, it came out to 50 minutes. To be fair, they explained why after I filled out the questionnaire, which was for the masseuse to ask me questions before my massage started, and to give me time to get ready before and after the massage. Unfortunately, I didn't get a full hour. My masseuse also ended pretty abruptly and didn't use a warm damp towel to clean off some of the massage lotion. - Price. For this area, $75 as an introductory price isn't bad. Based on what I've researched, many spas cost more for an hour massage. However, it's an introductory price. I didn't need a shower afterwards at all, it just soaked into my dry winter skin and was beneficial to me, just like the massage was to my snow-shoveling muscles.
