Excellent steak house quality at a good price new remodel is great looks as good as the food no frills just great food

I really wanted to like this place but in the end it boils down to the food. I walked in and really liked the down home atmosphere and the staff was super nice but again it comes down to the food. I started with a basic house salad which was fresh and good but then came my main meal. I ordered the 18 ounce ribeye, baked potato and corn. The potato was warm and fluffy and the roll and corn were good but then it came down to the steak. It really looked and smelled good when delivered(see pic) but then I cut into it and there was fat upon fat upon fat. Getting to the meat was a chore and only got four small bites of meat out of it. The second pic shows some of the fat I cut off and that was only a portion of it. Maybe it was an off night I don't know but it's certainly not worth giving it another shot. Like some reviews I've written I didn't think it deserved zero because my waitress was working her butt off. I wanted buttermilk pie when I first walked in there but after the steak experience all I wanted to do was get out of there. I should have gone with my gut and gone to the Feed Hut in Grand Saline where I got a solid flavorful steak with just a trace of fat to be found like a steak should be. read more

This is the kind of place that the locals know and love! My mom and I are in town for First Monday Trade Days and on our first night here she was craving a steak. I searched Yelp and found Easley's. The reviews seemed good as well as the menu so we thought we would check it out. What we weren't expecting was to pull up and find that the restaurant is located inside of what once was a gas station! The pumps are no longer there but the covered area where they used to sit is. It is obvious what the building used to be. We were a little nervous at that point but with such good reviews we pushed forward. The decor is minimal. The restaurant is small. The booths are clean though and the whole thing is reminiscent of a diner, with booths lining the windows and tables set elsewhere. The interior itself seems clean as well. We were seated by a very friendly waitress, one of two who helped us throughout our visit. She was fast, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The menu offers standard steakhouse fare; everything from prime rib to an 8oz sirloin as well as country dinners like pork chops and country fried steak. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes and Ranch Dressing which were the best I have ever eaten! They were breaded in corn meal or maybe a mix of corn meal and flour and came to the table piping hot! They were very crispy, not soggy at all which can sometimes be a problem with fried green tomatoes. Excellent appetizer!!! Next came my house salad with blue cheese dressing. It was fresh and came in a freezing cold bowl. The dressing was good. The salad reminded me of salads from Texas Roadhouse. After that our meals arrived very quickly. We both chose the sirloin. Hers was medium-well and cooked to perfection! Mine was well done and it too was perfect! There was no sending back of these steaks, lol. The flavor was great as well. I didn't need any steak sauce. That said, I think the chef could add a little garlic or something to the steaks. I would have like some kind of seasoning besides pepper because although they were good, they seemed to be missing something. That could just be personal preference however. I love savory foods and I season my steaks at home so maybe I'm just used to it. Even if it's just season salt. Anyway, I had the fried okra, sautéed mushrooms and sweet potato fries. The okra was pretty standard frozen and fried okra but crispy and hot. The mushrooms were fresh and very tasty! The sweet potato fries were delicious! I definitely recommend them!! My mom had the baked potato and the green beans. She loved the potato and said the green beans were good. The rolls they give you were really good with butter on them. They were standard yeast rolls but yummy!! Our waitresses were attentive throughout. We ate there on a Wednesday night. First Monday hadn't started yet so the restaurant wasn't very busy but it did have several tables full of locals. The food arrived very quickly. There was no wait at all really. Overall we were very pleased with our meal! We left stuffed. I would definitely eat there again and I look forward to doing so the next time we are here for First Monday. If you can't decide where to eat when you're in town, stop here. You really can't go wrong. The steaks were a bit pricey for what you are getting, $16.99 for the 8oz sirloin but it's a lot better than going to Applebee's!!! read more

Easleys Cattle Company has the best steak in Texas period! No steak sauce required as you will ruin the extraordinary taste that has been created. None of the big chain steakhouses can hold a candle to Easleys as their steak is simply amazing! All of their many other dishes are excellent as well. Service is fast and friendly which are two qualities hard to find in this day and time. Prices are very reasonable especially for the quality of the food served! I have never had a bad experience with food or service at Easleys and I have been eating there about once a week for the last two years. If you want Excellent Food (Especially the Steak) with Great Service and Prices then Easleys Cattle Company should be at the top of your list of places to eat! read more

Love the steak here, very high quality cuts of meat and cooked to perfection. The prices have gone up so we don't go nearly as often but it's still my favorite steak restaurant. The recent remodel added much needed dining space so the wait times are almost non existent. Everything is new, clean, and inviting. My only complaint, the service is spotty but overall I still give it 5 stars. read more

This is not a solid 4-star review. Ive only been three times. The first time was in 2016 and the food was okay, but the staff must have been having an off night, and I couldn't get everything I wanted at the table. I left disappointed and then discovered someone had opened their door into my car. I didn't go back for three years until my dad made some steaks at his house and he told me he had bought them at Easleys. They were awesome! So, I have returned twice, and was surprised to find out they don't open till 4 pm on Saturday. But I have purchased some steaks in their meat market (about $37 for two 9-ounce filets) and taken them home. Their steaks with my own baked potato and salad is as good as any steakhouse. The second time I was careless and burned the steaks, but they still had a great flavor. The waitstaff may have improved since I ate in, but my routine now will be to pick up some filets, grill them at home and let my freak flag fly. read more

We love this restaurant. It's the best place for a steak and the staff is so friendly and amazing! We always leave with a good experience and because of this we try to come as much as we can. I have got to remember to cut my portions in half so I have left overs and I could have dessert. :) read more

Had only come for burgers, but decided to bring out of town guests for steaks. My ribeye had so much fat and gristle that half was wasted. One friend ordered NY Strip, but was delivered a ribeye exactly like mine. Waitress took it back to kitchen, but returned with it saying cook insisted it was NY Strip. Anyone who knows steaks, recognizes the difference. One steak ordered as Well Done was clearly almost rare. I order Med Rare and his was bloodier. Returned to kitchen and came back burned to shoe leather. Obviously cook does not like to be corrected. Caesar salad comes with banana peppers and mushrooms. We were highly disappointed after all the reviews we read and then actually experienced the food. No silverware, burnt food, dried meats. The waitress spilled the dressing from our salads on the table, her arm and the floor. She proceeded to lick the dressing off her hand and arm, clean the floor and leave it on the table. Then returned with our silverware and napkins and left them on top of her spilled dressing on the table. We won't be back. read more

Had dinner here with friends on Sat. 9/15/12. Was told it would be a good, basic dinner. We were not disappointed! Yes, it's a meat market too, but don't let that turn you away. 3 of us had the filet (bacon wrapped), the other a sirloin. The steaks were perfectly seasoned & cooked! Each steak dinner came with a salad, a side & a roll. Don't go too late or they might run out of potato sides, as they did to nearly everyone who came after us (7:30). We were in Canton last weekend and decided to try Easley. It was listed as a local recommendation at the motel we were staying at. It's in a small strip center and has a very casual atmosphere. The booths reminded me of the ones you find at a Dairy Queen. The initial service was good, and the food was great. The sirloin had a good flavor that reminded me of Saltgrass. The chicken fried steak was more steak than coating, which was a nice change from mostly crust and very little meat at other places. We tried the fried green tomatoes and they were so hot it burned my mouth, but good. The only down side of the visit was the waitress never came to refill our drinks and we finally had to ask for the check. Would I go back? Sure! read more

Had not been to ECC in 2 years, but, still the same excellent steak house in the area. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was spot on. The only thing I would change is the lighting (very dim) and we are seniors who could not read the menu. Won't be a problem in the future as we will order the same steaks ! read more

Wow! Easley's Steakhouse was beyond good! I had the 18oz Ribeye for $24.99! I asked for it to be prepared Medium-rare and they cooked it to perfection! This is one of those restaurants that's an unexpected surprise. It's located in an old service station but hole in the wall it is not!!! And it is not the mom and mom Sysco food you might expect in a small town. Truly home cookin but waaayyyy better!!! Fresh ingredients and made to order. Our favorites are the pork chops, burgers, sweet potato fries, of course the steak, and yes... Fried green tomatoes! We are locals and Easleys is one of our "go to" places when we want to eat out without driving to Dallas or Tyler. read more

Git a recommendation from a local to try them out. Good burger and fried chicken tenders just a little slow getting the order but it was lunch hour and I believe that everything is homemade. Great fresh green beans but I think they had bacon in them so if you are a vegetarian you may want to ask about ingredients in all the veggies. read more

I had the 14oz ribeye medium rare and it was cooked and seasoned well. I also had a baked potato and cried squash. The squash was excellent. For starters we had the bottle caps. They were fried jalapeños with some cheese melted on top. They were alright but not something we would order again. They were super busy last night so the service was mediocre. The strangest thing to me was they didn't have sweet tea. We live in the south. Who doesn't have sweet tea? Overall, we will return and try it again and enjoyed it. read more

This is a great family owned steak house and you get that at home/country experience when you walk in the doors. You are seated by a hostesses if they are busy, which most of the time they are, and your drink/appetizer order is taken promptly. They do not serve sweet tea which is a downside and if you are expecting fast service you will not get that. However when you do get your appetizer, salad, and meal they will all be fresh and just like you ordered it!!! I have tried almost everything on the menu and would consider it every meal if I could justify the cost of an amazing ribeye!!!
