The menu is huge and very diverse here. Every person should find a great item! Most of my group had Mexican food for lunch, and I had a chicken fry steak. There was a lot of meat and a thin breading which was perfect! The onion rings were really good! They also have the best frozen Mangorita I've ever had!! I would drive back just for this! Next time I will try the seafood! It's a nice size spot and they have enough room for groups. The bar is friendly and had some locals chatting. Looks like a relaxing atmosphere. Tell Trevor Hi! They used to have good hamburgers and onion rings. The last two times we have been we were really disappointed. Onion rings were way over fried and the hamburgers have lost their appeal. No flavor and so much grease the buns were soggy. Guess we are looking for a new place for a burger. read more

Traveling home from Canton and took backroad due to traffic. Large menu with alot of variety and very reasonable prices. Full bar available if you want. We weren't sure based on first impression from the road but once you walk in, you will stay! Nice, clean restaurant with good homestyle food. Very friendly staff. Old Fashion Burger and onion rings Dang that was a good burger! The onion rings were exceptional. Called in our order and it was ready in 15 minutes. Picked up at the drive thru and noticed a sign on the window stating that there is now a 3.9% fee for non-cash transactions AFTER I had already paid with a card. Not very happy about this fee as I believe this should be a cost of doing business. Eating out is so expensive these days and extra charges add up. read more

The food was horrible. Onion rings have no flavor. Fried oysters were all batter with thin rubbery oysters. French fries were also terrible. Hushpuppies were good and coleslaw was decent. I was told the fried fish was pretty good. The best thing was the roll. They charge $3.75 for a fountain drink and a fee for credit cards. Definitely will not be back. read more

The chicken fried chicken was so GOOOD!!!!! I love a good family operated business with quality food. There's a variety of options and my meal was 8.99 on a lunch special. The portion size was excellent and the establishment was neat. We had a nice server, but they may have been slower than normal this day according to the regular I came with. Crawfish was not good. Mediocre at best. And the Buffalo chicken sandwich was so drenched in sauce the bread was soggy and dripping. Just not good at all! Service no one came back to see if everything was okay or if we needed a beverage refill. My husband had to go ask for refills. And there was literally only two other tables. It was hard to grade this place. Sunday I got 2lbs of crawfish at 10.95 a lb. It took 35 minutes first off, they never offered me a glass of water or anything. The spice was great! Here is the real problem the crawfish, container, and all liquid in box weighed 24.7 ounces on my chef scale. 23 actual crawfish. I consider this a real scam. If the weight was correct I would have given them 5 stars. read more

This place used to be our go to place! The last time or two the food quality had slipped as well as the service. In fact two visits ago we were very dissatisfied with so male employee who thought he was really something! Smarty mouth! Met some long time friends here for lunch during the weekday. Ordered a burger and onion rings. Burger was very good and had plenty of flavor. Onion rings were great while they were hot, and still pretty good once they sat for a while. Waitress was very attentive to our needs and didn't mind that we sat there for several hours chatting. Drinks refilled often. We all had dessert and I had coconut cream pie. It was okay, not great. Seemed a little dry for a creamy type pie but I didn't leave any crumbs on my plate. read more

We travel Hwy 80 a lot and there aren't too many restaurants open on a Sunday evening. Last night we decided to stop at Roth's since they were open and we hadn't tried them yet. We knew it had some good reviews but that can be hit and miss in small towns. We were pleasantly surprised that yes indeed, they deserve their 4 star rating. We had the spinach & artichoke dip, which was good and a nice serving size. My husband enjoyed his burger and I tried the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo (shrimp drowned in garlic butter). The shrimp were huge, and the garlic is toasted and so yummy. They served 8 large shrimp and the homemade tortillas were wonderful! The garlic butter gets into the rice and I loved it all. Our waitress Lisa was attentive and also made great recommendations. We will definitely make this a place we stop at more on our drive between Dallas and Longview! read more

We have been here before but absolutely ridiculous today. Waited an hour when my husband asked what the heck happened. Our order was never even submitted. People were getting their food right andeft and no one even realized we had been there waiting. No drinks, no service. Another table got their appetizers AFTER their food. We had come here special with hub, kids, and my father. Embarrassing since I had bragged on them and everyone went there based on my recommendations. Food is normally good but service was absolutely GARBAGE! Couldn't even get refills of basic drinks. Lost a big sale plus tip because the ticket was not handed off correctly. Not even sure why it was "handed off" since waitress was still there. So frustrating. So now we are sitting in McDonald's drive thru just trying to get some food. read more

My mom wanted to eat here after church on Mother's Day and, since Wills Point has limited choices for eating out, we gave it a try. First of all, we were seated at a table that had just been wiped down and there was a long, black hair on tabletop-when I pointed it out to hostess, she acted like it was no big deal but did remove it... didn't offer to re-wipe table. Menu is all over the place...I ordered a cup of gumbo and a salad while my Mom had Fish plate. Gumbo was served w/o a spoon and it took several minutes to get one; gumbo tasted of beef gravy base with several shrimp and okra pieces-3 spoons in, I'm done. Salad was nothing special. Mom's fish was overcooked and the baked potato was crusted with too much salt, making it inedible. We ate what we could, paid and left. Will not return. Do yourself a favor and make the 20 min drive to Pops in Terrell-woulda, coulda, shoulda. read more

We recently moved to this area and are looking for good restaurants. We tried this one for Mother's Day and found it to be mediocre at best. The servers seemed confused, we were asked by three different wait staff members if we had been helped. The service continued to be confused and slow throughout the meal. When we did get our food it was not very good. We had queso that was thin and tasteless, soggy corn on the cob and a chicken fried steak that was 1/3 batter. Won't go back. read more

I don't know how this place got 4.5 star rating Me and my friends were shopping at Canton and then we decided to eat. I looked for steak places around and this one was first. Everything seemed to be okay in the beginning. When we walked in server greet us and we sit down. After that it started. I asked for hot tea and he said I don't think we have it but i will check. He came back and said yes we have it but i have to make it. I'm like okay, sure. We order food. I ordered buffalo wings and it says in the menu that it will come with special sauce. My friend ordered shrimp basket, fish tacos and 2 steaks. 1. Server came back with cup of sweet tea without ice telling me this is hot tea. I ordered coffee. 2. He brought shrimp baskets full of onions rings and couple shrimps. In the menu wasn't mentioned onion rings. If I wanted onion rings I would order it but of I order shrimp for 14$ bring me more shrimp. 3. He brought my suppose to be wings but more like chicken strips. And yeah, no special sauce. He might forgot. 4. I asked for coffee refill, which he didn't bring within 20 min. I understand if he was busy but it was only 2 tables in whole restaurant.
