I absolutely love this experience! To sit down and taste a variety of wines for a very minimal cost was fun. There are roughly 3 or four different variety tastings. They also have some frozen drinks that you can enjoy. You can buy many of the brands in store, but can also find them in the local grocers or liquor stores. I enjoyed the Riesling and a few others. Riesling is usually my staple but they have a Traminette that was lovely. I also enjoyed their white Pinot. There is seating inside and outside. Such a cute urban winery hidden near downtown. Outdoor and indoor seating. We opted to sit inside since we walked a couple of miles down Mass and to the winery on a very hot day. They had a deal going on at the time where some of the bottles were on sale so we were able to pick up a few bottles for $6! Amazing price for their tasting experience! It usually ranges from $6-$8 for 7 samples of wines. Not too many food options here but you do get some crackers with your tastings. There is plenty of room inside to host parties/events and to come sit and hang out with friends. They also have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Another plus is there is free parking! On Saturday, September 20th, I was walking in the neighborhood where I had initially been at the historic Lockerbie Square neighborhood at their neighborhood sale. Decided to walk to follow where the sound was coming from, I saw a sign on the sidewalk that shows wine slushies, and that right there got me in. At, that time I didn't realize it's Easley Winery until I started walking up some stairs. Easley Winery is Indianapolis only local winery in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. The last time I was out at Easley Winery was back in 2018; and that's been way too long. I've passed by Easley Winery so many times, and would forget to come to the Winery. I made it to the Winery at 12:30pm. I went there solo, it wasn't crowded, an actual tasting room where people can sit down to enjoy the wines, talk, and laugh with their company if they have company. There are stairs entering the building, I personally didn't see a lower ramp, but it might be one there. Once, you're inside you'll notice the big Easley Winery sign, a lot of wine bottles, the Winery building is very historic, and during the Summer months Easley Winery does have their Summer wine concerts with local Musicians. You get 7 wines for $8.00 which is a great deal. Not, only does Easley Winery have a variety of wines, but they do offer different flavors of wine slushies. Stopped in for their 6 for $6 sale, where they offer 6 wines for $6 per bottle. We started with a flight of the 6 wines, along with a bonus wine, being offered in the sale. We then chose the wines we wanted to buy. We couldn't leave without wine slushies! We tried all the flavors. It was suggested we mix the Margarita with the Reggae Red. I'm not sure if it's because of the cold weather, but I was actually shocked that more patrons are not packed into this winery every weekend! The customer service was absolutely amazing. The selection of wine was immaculate; my friend & I enjoyed a wine tasting plus a bottle of wine AND I purchased two bottles for myself to go. I appreciated the details and explanation behind the flight, and loved the pairing options. Although they don't serve food you are more than welcome to bring food or order food for delivery. If you like sweet wines, then ignore my thoughts. But, Easley has changed how they do their tastings. They used to give you a choice of the wines in your tasting. They don't give choices now. Their menu is limited to only seven options and all are their sweet wines. Easley used to offer some drier options and had some reserve wines you could try. Very disappointing as I cannot stand sweet Indiana wines. The pours were very small too. The atmosphere is still nice and they do have a cool patio area for summer weather. And the staff are very friendly. But I won't bother coming back when my only tasting options are their reggae red and back home white. Very limited and just not worth a visit for me. read more

My first visit to the winery today, however have purchased Easley at my grocery store many times before since it is so reasonably priced and tasty. The staff were so welcoming and answered all our questions. The winery has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. After looking around, you will notice they offer plenty of music entertainment and happy hour offers during the week. I purchased a 20 oz strawberry margarita slushie and a bottle of Reggae Red wine (classic & tasty)! So much fun!!! I love easley wine and did not realize how close I lived to the winery. We came here and did the wine tasting which was fun- our server talked us through the different wines and explained the history of the winery as well. We came on a Saturday and they had live music going on as well. They definitely are more popular for their sweet wines but the few dry wines we tried during the tasting were good as well. I like the outdoor seating and cornhole option for warm months. Also- when you're here you need to try the wine slushies. They had two flavors when we were there and were happy to let you try them both. They also have a lot of cute wine decorations around the winery that you can buy. Pros: I really love Easley wines! Everytime I'm going out of state and bringing a gift, I usually opt to grab a Reggae Red. Also, when you do the wine tasting the employees are really knowledgable about their wines. It is a very informative experience. Wine tasting is seven samples for $5 (plus they'll give you an extra one if you didn't try their reggae red). Overall, a fun activity to do in Indy if you aren't wanting to drive down to Oliver or Mallow Run. Cons: This winery is just not as magical as other wineries when it comes to the tasting room. It feels like you are wine tasting in a giant gift shop. Parking can also be a bit of a challenge here since it is on the one-way part of college avenue and you need to make decisions quickly about which lot you want to pull into. I recommend parking at Sun King, start with a beer there, and then head over to Easley. Note: I've never been to their reggae in the garden, but I'm hoping to do that this summer and will update my review accordingly! read more

We had too much fun experiencing the wine tastings with Emily. I couldn't believe this was my first tasting experience at Easley. I've had their product all over town and in the groceries, but never via a proper tasting. All I can say is, they have dry wines! Why don't more people know this? Are Hoosier wineries like Oliver and Easley hiding the good stuff - does the Hoosier palette crave sweet to try? Regardless, I'm happy to have a better grasp of Easley's portfolio. Plus I learned the story behind mead which was worth the trip in itself. Always have been a fan of their wine, esp sweet barrel red but may have found a new favorite after coming here. First time visiting the winery and came for a wine tasting. It is very organized and they do it by groups. Experienced staff. Great tasting wines! Plenty of space inside and even more outside to hang out and share a bottle. The 76 (pic included) was very good and can only be bought there. It's a "semi-sweet". Definitely sweet but not nearly as sweet as the barrrel red or reggae red. If you haven't stopped at the Easley, you should. Every Saturday, from May through end of September they offer free live music. The bands are usually excellent. They have about 10 tables with umbrellas but you can bring your own chairs as well. Inside, they have wine tastings and a tour. You can purchase a glass or bottle of wine and take it outside to listen to the music. Many people bring a picnic or snacks to enjoy with their wine. Their wines are on the sweeter side and they are known for their reggae red. They also have corn hole set up in the back. It is a fun place and I see a lot of groups showing up. My only complaint is they only have one bathroom for women and one for me. So there is always a line at the ladies room. Just make them both unisex and it would help solve the problem. We stopped here while in town for DCI finals. I have had the Sweet Tulip wines before and knew they were out of Indy, but I had never been able to find them. Turns out, Easley Winery is the maker of Sweet Tulip. Useful information to have. It is an easy walk from downtown Indy. Our hotel was just on the other side of Monument Circle, and Easley Winery is about a mile away. It is an easy walk to get there, or if need be an easy drive to get there. You do not enter at what appears to be the former front door. You enter to the side, via what used to be a parking lot, I assume, but is now an outdoor drinking space with tables and umbrellas and cornhole. We went inside and paid for our tastings. $5 gets you 7 samples, plus this weekend there was a bonus tasting of a Sweet Tulip wine. You get a list with seven "barrels" with an option on each side of the menu. You select which one you would like from each side, with everyone ending with the Reggae Red, which is their bestseller. Since this is the midwest, most of the wine leans towards the sweeter side. Even the dry wines. But I'm not really complaining. I like sweet wines. I like ALL wines. The Sweet Tupil ones are still my favorite. An interesting surprise is the Sangria they have bottled. It tastes exactly like Skittles! Weird, but delicious. The girl leading our tasting was friendly and talkative. If you like trying local wines, I would highly recommend Easley Winery. It was a great experience! I stopped by for a tour and a wine tasting on a Saturday. I was able to grab a parking space in one of the nearby lots and hopped on one of the tours. The business is a production facility for the wines as well as a showroom, so tours are only conducted on weekends for safety reasons. The tours are free and only take between 15 and 30 minutes, depending upon the number of questions people ask along the way. During the tour, you see the machines used from receiving the grapes, through processing and fermentation, to storage and bottling. It's pretty interesting, but lacks a "wow" factor since they aren't running the machines during the tour. I also tried the "tasting" of seven wines for $5. I had to sign up for the tasting and wait for the appointed time. Fortunately, since there are three counters running at a time, tastings start every 15 minutes. I liked that they gave me a checklist that describes the options in each "barrel" (round) and I was able to pick from either of the columns. The guy behind the counter was friendly and seemed pretty knowledgeable of the wines, giving even more information about each of the choices before serving. The tasting started off with some dry options and moved through semi-sweets and sweets, ending with the most popular "Reggae" line of wines. If you are interested in picking up bottles of wine you enjoyed during the tasting, they sell both chilled and at room temperature. For those not wanting to wait, a patio with umbrellas is just outside the entrance and makes a nice place to enjoy your purchase. I am not sure about the arrangement for glasses and if any food is available to munch on while sipping. Overall, I enjoyed most of the wines that I tried during the tasting. I've been to Easley so many times over the years, I've honestly lost track. I've attended public and private tastings, Groovin' in the Garden, and other fun events. I love the laid back vibe of the winery. This place is definitely a staple in Indy! During my most recent visit, I treated my mom to their wine pairing event for Mother's Day. During the hour long event, we were given a tour of the winery then treated to a wine and chocolate pairing highlighting some of their signature wines. Happy Mother's Day, Mom! It is a pretty small place, so the tour was pretty short and informative. They outsource their grapes from across the country, but all of the magic happens in the winery. After the tour we went to the new tasting bar in the back of the winery. We tried 8 wines including their newest Sweet Tulip wine paired with a nice assortment of Godiva and Dove chocolates. My only wish is that they hooked up with my local fave Best Chocolate in Town! Our favorite wines included the Sweet Tulip Moscato, Chardonnay, Reggae Red, and Indiana Champagne. My Mom had a blast! Although this was not a part of the tasting, I must mention the Kauffman 76 wine which isn't well known. It's not as sweet as their signature wines, but it's just as delicious.
