Strawberry and goat cheese stuffed Challa French Toast with pork sausage.

Nice and quaint little restaurant! Staff is friendly and even though it was a busy time of the day for them they were able to seat us after a brief wait. I went with a friend they ordered the chicken and avocado burrito and I had the goat cheese strawberry stuffed Challa French toast. Plating for both entrées was perfect and food was hot. They have regular hot coffee and a good selection of cold brew coffees, however I wasn't able to find any lattes. There was a 100% maple syrup option but only by request. I'm sure we will be back again!!

What an awesome spot tucked away. We went on a cold Sunday morning and had a short wait. We waited in the car and got the call to head in. The waffles were delicious. Three of the four of us had them! The service was great. The staff was friendly and made recommendations. We loved the different coloring pages that other patrons did on the tables and then were hung around the restaurant. Casual vibe and perfect for a small group of friends.

Three Little Birds is a comfortable charming restaurant and the food was really good. They greeted us when we came in, made us feel welcome, and service was quick. They had several healthy choices which we were happy to see. If you happen to be in the area, I definitely recommend this place for breakfast

What a charming breakfast place! Located not in Charleston proper -just outside over the bridge in a corner of a shopping center. The exterior is covered in moss - magical. There are some tables outside, but it was too cold the day we were there. Inside is small, with crafts/art you can purchase. Maybe a bit more sprucing up could be done. Because of some construction work outside, it was unfortunately a bit noisy though. The food was so delicious. I had the cheese & herb omelette with a side of fruit. I didn't realize toast was extra though. The omelette came with 1 side & I chose the fruit. Service was good - coffee was good too. A nice find outside of the city.

Great place for a nice breakfast!

This little gem is worth finding and eating at! A lovely little family run breakfast brunch restaurant! The food was spectacular as you can see by the fantastic pictures, but the service was even better! Breakfast with my Mom Sister and my husband allowed us to have four different beautiful options. Both my sister and I had the Tom's breakfast and we were able to customize it. I loved the sweet potato biscuit instead of white toast. My sister want traditional with the white toast. Each of us could have our eggs the way we wanted, and I also had a side of the hollandaise which was fantastic homemade and delicious. My husband had the breakfast burrito which was plentiful and delicious and my mom's had the huevos rancheros and she couldn't even finish. I definitely recommend this wonderful breakfast brunch restaurant and I've added it to my favorites in my Charleston folder. Well done three little birds.!

Slight wait. Great service, great food, love the original art all over the inside! Outdoor patio is also nice.

Absolutely loved everything about this place. The location feels like it's a bit off the beaten path and it's one of the things I love! It's got a lovely patio and is best for smaller groups. They have a great selection of vegetarian options so your veg friends will thank you for choosing this place. I had the Monte Cristo and home fries, let me tell you... it was EVERYTHING! I was super impressed by their specials menu and can't wait to get back and try more. I'm also pretty snobby about my iced coffee and theirs is an absolute gold star. Our waitress was wonderful, gave us the time we needed to look over every single thing on the menu and everything came out hot and fresh!

Visited Three Little Birds for breakfast while visiting Charleston recently and overall it was a good experience. The outside of the building is covered in beautiful greenery making it very inviting. One thing I couldn't recommend for this business enough is having a sign that says "seat yourself" or "please see host at the bar" or something that guides guests when they arrive. It puts guests in such an awkward position if they've never visited before because they don't know whether or not to seat themselves etc. I ordered the fresh pressed orange juice and the goat cheese stuffed French toast. I was very excited for the fresh pressed juice but was not impressed. It tasted very bitter and unfortunately wasn't the best. I did not end up drinking it. The stuffed French toast was excellent. It seems like it would be sweet but it is not as sweet as you may think. I personally wish it was a little bit sweeter but it was still good. The outdoor patio could use some cleaning up. It seemed a little messy out there and not as tidy but it was fine. There are umbrellas outside and nice shaded areas to enjoy your meal outside. We did have a small wait as it seems this place is very popular. They text you when your table is ready which is super convenient. Overall a good spot for breakfast but I think I would try other spots in Charleston next time I visit!

This is a very small but accommodating restaurant. This was my first trip, and the breakfast was amazing, i will definitely return when I come back to Charleston.

Special omelet of the day with a side of fruit

First time trying TLB after putting it off for years. The long lines did not lie! It's a small eclectic place with indoor and outdoor seating out back. Our server was very nice and punctual. The lavender latte was everything I wanted it to be. I rarely find these and was really excited they made them. I should have asked for more honey but as it was, it was delicious. The omelets were really good. I had the avocado omelet with a side of grits. The grits were a bit bland but with a little extra salt they tasted good. I'm happy with the experience, my girl friend enjoyed her new too and we will def be heading back in the near future.

Front of the menu, more on the back. Also, posted specials on a blackboard!

I had not been to this somewhat hidden away Restaurant behind the South Windermere Shopping Center and close to a radio station so it is not terribly easy to find. Still it was fairly crowded inside and under the covering of the outdoor tables although it was a brisk and slightly hot day. I ordered the Carolina Scramble with eggs (of course) shrimp, andouille (sp?) saugage, peppers and onions with my selection of hash browns. Absolutely delicious, every last mouthful. Suffice it to say that I would go out of my way to come back to the Three Little Birds Cafe and eat this very same meal. Yes, the "Scramble" was great as we're the perfectly cooked and seasoned hash browns. I apologize that I did not get the excellent waitress's name but there were a number of them moving about quite quickly clearing tables, serving patrons and delivering the delicious food. Not one complaint in the slightest, so I recommend this place highly. See you there!

This was a great little find. An eclectic vibe with local sourced food. The staff was super friendly. My husband got an omelet and enjoyed it. The star of the show was the strawberry challah! It was phenomenal.

Breakfast burrito with Chicken and Avocado
    Tanner M.

I ordered pick-up from Three Little Birds and got the chicken, egg, and avocado breakfast burrito (no black beans) with a side of potatoes and an iced coffee. My order wasn't quite ready when I arrived, but the staff was super friendly, offering me a seat inside or outside while I waited and keeping me updated on the food. The burrito was exactly what I wanted--delicious and packed with protein. Glad I skipped the black beans because it didn't need them! The potatoes were fresh with the perfect crisp, and the burrito came with sour cream and fresh salsa, which I was happy to see in a takeout order. They even threw in a side of Cholula and Sriracha. I'll definitely be back!

I have been living in Charleston since 2010 and have been looking for a French restaurant for years. One day while walking around the French Quarter I noticed a quaint lil French bistro and put it on my "gotta try" list. So I came to see what all the 5 star reviews were about and boy was I disappointed from the get go. I try my best not to judge a book by its cover and lemme tell you I'm not scared of whole in the walls and the gems in different hodgepodge places, if it's got good eats, I'm there. I usually will try a restaurant 3 times before writing a review but helllllll no. The food and experience was so bad y'all! I have to tell you about my experience NOW while the bad taste is still in my mouth! I ordered the soup of the day which was she crab soup and a baguette. I thought cool French baguette is my fave and how could you go wrong with soup. No, I got 2 small slices of stale baguette top with some kind of cheese like a lunchable you can get at the grocery store and soup that was too salty to eat! So I said let me try something that you can't mess up. A croissant! A chocolate one well they messed that up too! How can you get a croissant wrong, and it was store bought croissants! Yuck! From a FRENCH restaurant, not made in house but if I'm wrong then those were the worst croissants ever!!!!!! Please people don't eat here! The serve staff did not greet us, ignored us and asked a white patron about his party of guests even though we were there 10 minutes before and the host knew he did wrong for asking to seat the other guy before acknowledging us because he caught my stare and we locked eyes and I did not back down or break the eye contact to let him know, yea fellow you totally ignored me for 10 minutes and asked the other guy how many in his party 1st! Even after the poor service I was dealt with in the beginning I still wanted to give it a chance, but after hearing how the wait staff addressed other patrons about how short staff they were and how horrible they had to do so many things I about had it. I was looking forward to a hot fresh French press coffee and was let down again. Weakest French press coffee just take my advice and walk swiftly past this whole in the wall. I can't believe this place is still open after so many years. Really Charlestonians!?! Really? I know we have more restaurants per square capita but this one has got to go. We ate some food because we were shopping and so hungry, but after that we paid and left fast

Stood up, told my girlfriend I had had enough...and I flat out refused to give my money to an establishment that treats their customers in this manner. Honestly, I grew up in the Lowcountry and I can tell you that *most* restaurants/bars/shops/etc. in Charleston feature employees who are generally gracious/friendly/hospitable/helpful. Then, on occasion, you run into places like this. How they stay in business has to be a function of location alone, because their service is absolutely horrible! Will advise anyone who will listen to avoid this place at all costs!
