Today was my very first time visiting this restaurant, and I have to say--I absolutely loved it! I've been wanting to try it for a while since I'm often nearby doing freelance makeup work at Wildcraft, and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic, and the customer service was truly exceptional. I ordered the breakfast special with eggs, sausage, and fried potatoes, and everything was cooked perfectly. I also treated myself to a slice of French toast on the side, which was absolutely delicious. I can't say enough good things about this charming little spot. What a great place to get a Benedict in the middle of the week!!! The restaurant is so CUTE!!! You know you're in for a treat, when you have to wait a few minutes to wait for a table-always a good sign in Charleston. Spoiler Alert-no alcoholic beverages. I yanked my back out and was looking forward to having a Bloody to go with my ibuprofen. Denied. I had the most delightful server, Caroline, who set me up for success with my order. I had selections in mind and she recommended them when I asked her what was good. The French Onion soup had an interesting seasoning profile that I could not place-but it was very good-no cheese or croutons, so maybe it should be onion soup instead. I loved the spin on the Benedict with a sweet potato roll, the eggs were perfectly over medium and the home fries were on time!!! I added one pancake to eat for dessert...totally get this if you love chocolate chips and blueberries, as both were generously added. Nice and quaint little restaurant! Staff is friendly and even though it was a busy time of the day for them they were able to seat us after a brief wait. I went with a friend they ordered the chicken and avocado burrito and I had the goat cheese strawberry stuffed Challa French toast. Plating for both entrées was perfect and food was hot. They have regular hot coffee and a good selection of cold brew coffees, however I wasn't able to find any lattes. There was a 100% maple syrup option but only by request. Cute little restaurant with plenty of parking indoor and outdoor sitting areas. The restaurant walls are covered in drawn done by kids while visiting the restaurant. The serve is friendly and fast. Sitting is limited to probably 30 people inside. There hours are limited from 7:30 am- 2 pm on weekdays and 8am- 2pm on weekends. The food served has generous portions. Very tasty. The menu even though it is not large is does have some wonderful choices of breakfast and brunch options. What a charming breakfast place! Located not in Charleston proper -just outside over the bridge in a corner of a shopping center. The exterior is covered in moss - magical. There are some tables outside, but it was too cold the day we were there. Inside is small, with crafts/art you can purchase. Maybe a bit more sprucing up could be done. Because of some construction work outside, it was unfortunately a bit noisy though. The food was so delicious. I had the cheese & herb omelette with a side of fruit. This little gem is worth finding and eating at! A lovely little family run breakfast brunch restaurant! The food was spectacular as you can see by the fantastic pictures, but the service was even better! Breakfast with my Mom Sister and my husband allowed us to have four different beautiful options. Both my sister and I had the Tom's breakfast and we were able to customize it. I loved the sweet potato biscuit instead of white toast. My sister want traditional with the white toast. Each of us could have our eggs the way we wanted, and I also had a side of the hollandaise which was fantastic homemade and delicious. My husband had the breakfast burrito which was plentiful and delicious and my mom's had the huevos rancheros and she couldn't even finish. Three Little Birds is a cute little place is a shopping plaza. The staff was attentive and responded to our needs well. We had kids and they were equipped for them well. They provided crayons and cooling pages for them. I have the huevos rancheros and we all shared a stuffed strawberry and goat cheese challah stuffed French toast. The food was excellent. Absolutely loved everything about this place. The location feels like it's a bit off the beaten path and it's one of the things I love! It's got a lovely patio and is best for smaller groups. They have a great selection of vegetarian options so your veg friends will thank you for choosing this place. I had the Monte Cristo and home fries, let me tell you... it was EVERYTHING! I was super impressed by their specials menu and can't wait to get back and try more. I'm also pretty snobby about my iced coffee and theirs is an absolute gold star. Visited Three Little Birds for breakfast while visiting Charleston recently and overall it was a good experience. The outside of the building is covered in beautiful greenery making it very inviting. One thing I couldn't recommend for this business enough is having a sign that says "seat yourself" or "please see host at the bar" or something that guides guests when they arrive. It puts guests in such an awkward position if they've never visited before because they don't know whether or not to seat themselves etc. I ordered the fresh pressed orange juice and the goat cheese stuffed French toast. I was very excited for the fresh pressed juice but was not impressed. It tasted very bitter and unfortunately wasn't the best. I did not end up drinking it. The stuffed French toast was excellent. It seems like it would be sweet but it is not as sweet as you may think. I personally wish it was a little bit sweeter but it was still good. The outdoor patio could use some cleaning up. It seemed a little messy out there and not as tidy but it was fine. There are umbrellas outside and nice shaded areas to enjoy your meal outside. We did have a small wait as it seems this place is very popular. They text you when your table is ready which is super convenient. The staff are not the friendliest I've ever encountered, but they did take care of us in a timely manner and answered all of our questions. The food was outstanding. I had the salmon and goat cheese omelet, which was very generously filled and very flavorful. My mom had the cheese and herb omelet, and she said it, too, was generously filled. The grits could've stood a little longer cooking to get a little creamier, but the home fries were perfect. First time trying TLB after putting it off for years. The long lines did not lie! It's a small eclectic place with indoor and outdoor seating out back. Our server was very nice and punctual. The lavender latte was everything I wanted it to be. I rarely find these and was really excited they made them. I should have asked for more honey but as it was, it was delicious. The omelets were really good. I had the avocado omelet with a side of grits. The grits were a bit bland but with a little extra salt they tasted good. I had not been to this somewhat hidden away Restaurant behind the South Windermere Shopping Center and close to a radio station so it is not terribly easy to find. Still it was fairly crowded inside and under the covering of the outdoor tables although it was a brisk and slightly hot day. I ordered the Carolina Scramble with eggs (of course) shrimp, andouille (sp?) saugage, peppers and onions with my selection of hash browns. Absolutely delicious, every last mouthful. Suffice it to say that I would go out of my way to come back to the Three Little Birds Cafe and eat this very same meal. Yes, the "Scramble" was great as we're the perfectly cooked and seasoned hash browns. I apologize that I did not get the excellent waitress's name but there were a number of them moving about quite quickly clearing tables, serving patrons and delivering the delicious food. My order wasn't quite ready when I arrived, but the staff was super friendly, offering me a seat inside or outside while I waited and keeping me updated on the food. The burrito was exactly what I wanted--delicious and packed with protein. Glad I skipped the black beans because it didn't need them! Heading out of town, we stopped by Three Little Birds for breakfast. The wait was really, really long on a Sunday morning and we probably should have expected that... but it was rainy and cold so we waited in the car until it was finally time to be seated. The location is a little sneaky, so I definitely recommend using your GPS - it's tucked away on the far end of a parking lot that's behind another strip of businesses. SUCH A CUTE PLACE. Very cozy and friendly - so welcoming that you feel right at home when you walk in. With the rain, there was no outdoor seating on the patio - so I think that is part of why the wait was so long. But once we finally got in, service was super fast and our server was very sweet. We had a couple of cups of coffee and then our food was ready. Salad was light and fresh, no issues. My pasta was piping hot, loaded with goodies, and delicious. My husband was so excited for his sandwich but unfortunately the focaccia was soggy and very soft so it had almost no texture. The flavors were there - so not sure if it just wasn't heated properly. He ate half of my pasta and was good to go since the sandwich didn't cut it. I hoped for more flavor from Three Little Birds. The food was decent, but I believe one of the three birds was on vacation. First, the positives. The exterior of the building is very unique. The art on the walls is a nice touch. The restaurant seems quaint, yet vibrant. Now, for the food. We ended up ordering Tom's Plate and Sweet Potato Benedict (SPB) for breakfast. The biscuits in the SPB did not taste of sweet potato, which actually distracted me from my meal experience because I was hoping for that flavor with every bite. (A patron to my right also remarked on this. Sorry for eavesdropping, fellow patron!) Additionally, the poaching on the eggs wasn't consistent. They weren't overdone though! Finally, the items on Tom's Plate were pretty much in line with similar plates from other restaurants. I think the thing this restaurant gets right is ambiance. The servers were nice enough, although they were either really busy or really tired the morning of our visit. I'm hoping that a future visit would happen when all three birds were present to add flavor to the dishes. read more

I will always recommend this place even though the last visit I brought my sister who came to town for our Mother's Memorial Services, was not a pleasant visit. The food was actually pretty good, but the service completely ruined the experience for us. Our server was really short with us and came off as pretty rude from the start. When it came time to pay, we left $50 in cash and planned to put the rest on a card. Instead of asking or checking with us, she just ran the whole amount on the card and then just broke the $50 -- without saying anything. I've worked in restaurants for over six years, and I know when a guest leaves both cash and a card, you either use the cash first or at least ask what they'd prefer. It felt careless and honestly disrespectful. Because of that interaction, we won't be coming back, and I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this place to anyone. read more

The bar with bar seats and cash register are in the back left. The menu is huge with breakfast and lunch options available. We went around lunch time. We ordered takeout because the wait to get a table was really long. Service was quick and friendly, but we had to wait 45 minutes to get our food. The food was good, but all of our food was a little dry and could have used a little more flavor. Overall, I think Three Little Birds is a pretty good restaurant with lots of food options.
