Okay, my mom and I took my daughter here for lunch yesterday. I saw all the good reviews, and that's what made me try it, as there aren't a lot of Chinese buffets in our area. The first thing I saw when I walked up to the door is that you get 10% off if you give them a 5 star review. Which makes sense, because it was not very good, and WAY too expensive for what it was. The food has obviously been sitting for a while, and tastes stale. It also cost us FORTY DOLLARS for two adults and a child, which is insane for a buffet, especially one of such low quality. For Americanized Chinese food, this place is really good. The staff is very friendly and actually try to speak with and engage their guests in conversation, even though it's through broken English. Everything I tried was hot and tasted fresh. They had plenty of vegetable options, which I love! The sushi bar is kind of small, but for the price, it seemed alright. I also liked that they had somewhat unique options like frog legs. Interesting, I thought. And the best part was it was clean! No sticky tables or crumb covered floors here. Yay! Just visited this place on the weekend and what can I say I expected just a little more. The front cashier was rude and short with her response when asking about the difference in pricing for lunch and dinner and then escorted us to our table with a negative feeling vibe. The waitress was not much better either when bringing the drinks or picking up the plates. The food quality has definitely gone down then what it was before and it is so much more noticeable now. Best Chinese in Conroe. Its not inner City Chinese but its pretty damn close. Clean bathrooms pretty decent selection, and most of it is good. Pretty greasy but they are just trying to cater to the overweight people. But in my dark times when i was craving some American Chinese food this place hit the nail on the head. They have a small selection of sushi, its a buffet so its buffet quality sushi. The soups actually were phenomenal, good Hot and Sour soup is a rare thing to find. I wish i could buy a bucket of their Hot and Sour soup to take home. They have a froyo machine which i was too full to use. The bathrooms were very clean especially for being in a crowded restaurant. What a terrible experience. I went here with my husband and 3 kids (who are all under the age of 5). First of all there were no children's menus, and we were automatically charged $58 - meaning even our 5 year old twins plates were more than $14 each and my three year olds was free - either way that is the price for an adult dinner plate on a weekend, and we came in the early afternoon on A Sunday. We took a picture of their plates full of (FROZEN, Burger King quality) chicken nuggets - and pre frozen fries, and that is exactly the way we left it with plates full of food. We spoke to the manager and asked if this was correct. She said yes, and refused to take off the charge for our kids plates, despite them not eating one bite. Anywhere else generally would take it off the ticket if the customer was dissatisfied and did not eat it Considering fact we had to go spend more money on food for them after leaving their restaurant. My best advice? If you are looking to spend your hard working money on QUALITY food for a GOOD price, then go and spend it literally anywhere else. Go to outback, or eat sushi at Wild Ginger, Texas Roadhouse, or Buffalo Wild Wings and you will spend less money on food that tastes better. This was my first time here. I ordered hot tea as my drink and the water was luke warm. The items on the buffet were minimal. I wanted to get a steamed dumpling and there were a few out there, I took one to try and it was cool and hard as if it had been there for some time. The green beans were also cold. What happened to having a hot buffet line? I can't really give it a good review because there wasn't enough food on the line to try and the waitress only came to my table once and took over 15 minutes to bring me the tab once there were no plates on the table. Craving Chinese food so we decided to look on Google for a buffet. This business had great reviews so we decided to make the 20 minute drive. Got there and it was filthy. Careless staff who demand tips, food smashed into the floor (never got cleaned up), the table they sat us in had sticky sauce all over it and screaming kids running around. The decor was so dated probably from the 80's and the lighting made it feel like a dive. We should have just walked out at this point but we figured we would give it a try anyway. We get our plates sit down and there is a big sign on the table, "check in and review us and we will give you a discount". Okay, must be good, right? WRONG. The most disgusting food I have ever tasted in my life. I had napkins filled up with food I spit out. I really tried to give them the benefit tasting a bite out of everything. At this point I was really flustered, and confused. Why are all these people eating this food? I looked around and people were swallowing that stuff they called Chinese food. Then the sign on the table beckoning me to review. Why aren't there more bad reviews? I was so confused. We got up and left that place so fast. This place has a HUGE buffet with way too many dishes to try more than a small portion. It would take many visits to try everything. There's a Japanese section that my Chinese friend always make a bee-line for. They have several American-style desserts, plus some American dishes if someone in your party doesn't care for Chinese. I also agree with Amy in saying that the food looked like it had been sitting too long. Most likely because this place doesn't get much of a crowd.
