Not familiar with current Rules, regulations or Laws. I went to the registry with my bill of sale, current insurance and inspection certificate. About a month ago the laws concerning out of province inspections changed. An inspection done in BC is now valid in Alberta for 90 days. The person at the counter told me my inspection certificate was not valid. I told her she was wrong and asked her to talk to her manager. Her manager told me it was invalid because it was purchased by my company (which I own). I told him he was wrong and asked for a business card with his name on it. He refused to tell me his full name, so I told him I wanted a photo of him. He told me I could not take his picture and told his staff to call police. I took his photo and left. At no time did I ever raise my voice or use profanity. I went to a different registry and had my vehicle rgistered and plated without any issues. I contacted the police later and found that he did make the police report but the police did not need to talk to me. Have the option for a 9am road test, asking you to be there 30 minutes early for paperwork, etc. but they do not open until 9am which meant I was there for 30 minutes waiting. Haven't been impressed with any of the people working there the few times I have been. read more

I can't say enough good things about this registry and in particular Omar and Ivy. I went there to open up a corporation and they have answered all my questions even if they didn't have to. Very polite and helpful and I definitely recommend them and the registry. They'll be moving to a new location soon but I'll be going there even though it's futhure for me. went to do my driving test. The test instructor claims I did not do my shoulder/mirror checks and I disregarded a stop sign. He also claimed I only get 1 try at parallel parking and that I mounted a curb. On both, he was incorrect. I bumped into the curb. You also get 3 chances at parallel parking. Upon reviewing the test results, he marked the wrong boxes and his writing is unreadable. I talked to the manager, who confirmed that the test instructor is employed by them, but he does not take responsibility. Multiple complaints on this business being a scam have been filed with the BBB and the anti-fraud line. read more

Worst registry EVER. I would give 0 or negative stars if possible. Do not go here unless you're looking for people to waste your time. No one has any idea what they're doing (twice I've had to wait for a manager to help me because everyone else was clueless) and the last time I was there they claimed they had "no record" of the $120 I paid them. I have been waiting over 3 months for a name change to be done (something that should have taken maybe weeks at most) and I'm still fighting with them to get everything submitted properly. Hair pulling experience every visit. Last year, went in to register my motorcycle. Had all the paperwork, but the bill of sale was written somewhat poorly by the seller. I understood what was what and could make it out, but the lady behind the counter couldn't. I tried my best to make the date understood, (written in numerical format) but no go. She wanted me to drive all the way out to Turner Valley to get the guy to re write the thing just so I could get it done. Um, no. Went elsewhere. Today, went in to renew registration on my car and thought "hey, I'll get the bike done while I'm here." Same woman from last year. Middle aged oriental lady on the end cubicle near the door. Here we go. Got the car done, then tried for the bike. Oops, had the updated insurance slip that I preemptivley slipped into the sleeve for when the weather actually allows for a ride so it was done ahead of time. You would think it would be ok. Well, it wasnt. Same policy number on file, same driver, same bike, same woman. Nope. The date on the slip was next month so wouldn't process it. Fully insured, fully current, fully legal, but not happening. Go home and get the old slip. Come back and wait another half hour in your car. No thanks. Again went elsewhere. Got it done. Save your time and patience folks. Go elsewhere. read more

Very bad experience, sort of scam. For the road test the indian guy is so ridiculously strict, besides rude and grumpy. He said that i stopped with a red light to close from the truck beyond and i swear that there were minimun 3 mts betwen us, that i shoudn't be so cautious with 'those' kids if they're gonna pass or not and keep my way, that i shoudn't check sometimes to the left and right sides, and so many things like that. It seems like he enjoy when he "invites you to try again the road test" and wants you to give a hard time and to loss your money. Waste of time. read more

This is the closest registry by where I live. This is also the location that my hubby feel comfy to go to. Recently, they waived the fee for using debit when you pay for your transactions. They even have a table of the range of pay when using your credit card. Example: $1-60 is say $3 just an example. Then on and on.. Their equipments are shitty, the seats are like rocks. The service is shitty...not a whole lot of friendly people working there. Then, when I took my drivers license pic taken, they never showed my pic if I want it or not! Omg! If i could i would give them 0. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE ROAD TESTS HERE TO THESE MONEY HUNGRY PEOPLE. I booked my road test Sunday and failed for SPEEDING and LACK OF CAUTION IN UNCONTROLLED INTERSECTIONS. According to the examiner, i didn't slow down and checked properly in uncontrolled intersections (even though he admitted that i did check, but i only looked with my "eyes" and he needed proper head turn").Then he "nicely" proceeded to tell me to book it again there and to not wait because i now "know" what to expect. Well ok, i accepted it and booked another test the next day. A woman this time was my examiner and she FAILED ME because i SLOWED down at intersections to properly HEAD CHECK and proceed. She failed me for OBSTRUCTING TRAFFIC in a place with no traffic (0 CARS IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA) and with me doing exactly what HER DEAR COLLEAGUE one day prior told me to do and deducted points and failed me for. Not only this but because i felt abused and pissed off, i did my research and NO she did not have the right to fail me for OBSTRUCTION when no such thing was being made. Now i know and understand their policy to NOT record the test. Of course why would they want the test recorded when they can do whatever they want like this. I passed my road test with NO MINOR and everything by the books with another HONEST and FAIR registry/examiner. I REPEAT these people are MONEY HUNGRY and do not care how many times they have to fail you so they can get what they want. They should not be allowed to do this job and should be sued along with the registry (which knows their game for sure) for doing this to people. I will definitely not be leaving this without making a claim. Take your business elsewhere. I will never recommend this place. read more

There was some confusion for me about why I got closer to front of "line" but was then all of a sudden 3 spots further back in line; perhaps that is a problem with the program. 3rd time trying my drivers test. I got a different tester. His name was Nanor, right from the begining i could tell this time was different. My previous instructor made me feel uncomfortable, but Nanor first thing he said was " Don't be nervous just because i'm an instructor, be calm and be safe". That really calmed me down and and the test was a breeze. Nanor was calm, collected, and me feel as if i was drivingwith a friend. Would definetly recomend. DONT GO HERE FOR YOUR DRIVING TEST!!! Was slowly backing out of the parking stall to go do my test... and my examiner Simon Kwan decided to slam on his break on his side ( was renting a driving school car) He was freaking out, and said I couldn't continue the test because he felt "unsafe".... so I was in the car for 1 second AND ACTUALLY DIDNT DO anything wrong and I had to pay for the test and the rental car! Let's be real, going to a registry is never a good time. Always long lines, long waits and cranky staff. So with that in mind, I like this place because you take a number and have a seat to wait for your turn. Beats standing in line. Also, this place has a lot of staff, so your turn comes around quicker than some other places. And the lady who helped me was polite and friendly. Parking is a little tight in this area, so try to avoid peak hours. So once you accept that going to any registry is cumbersome, might as well try to find the most efficient and comfortable one to go to. read more

Is this Canada or somewhere a third world country? I have been doing business with this Registries for the last 6 years but I have never had such bad services before. Bad services! Not to generalize it, I went to renew my vehicle registrations, but this lady who pretty much looks like a man with short hair has been very rude to me. If you ask a question a second time, she gets pissed off. This is not called customer service. If she is not happy working there, i believe someone responsible should take care of her or just simply teach her how to talk to customers! I was very embarrassed with the way she talked to me.
