I must say it's been a life safer for towing fast if you're in an unsafe location. Where traffic is crazy or on the highway where no one stops to help. Now there is a downside and it's this, snow/ winter condition is always a factor in getting a tow. That will take hours to days, you're not the only one that needs help in these conditions on those days. Police get priority for tow truck to clear up accidents. Those are the days I stay home and don't drive anywhere. I have paid for my membership over and over with the services they supply. From movie tickets, travel insurance, travel agents, money exchange, motor vehicle registration, passport just to name a few the list goes on. If you look at what AMA offer it's well worth the fee for the membership. This location has parking and one electric vehicle charging station. It could be limited when busy.

I have not been able to open an online account with AMA Auto Insurance in spite of repeated attempts. Whenever I email or phone I have not received a reply and I have attempted to do both numerous times and always when I phone I have been put on hold for hours. This is not customer service it is what I call Customer Frustration. When you cannot get a response from an Insurance Adviser the only option is to look elsewhere.

I arrived at 8:30am for my 9:00am slot. The email you get emphasizes the importance of punctuality. By following this direction, I was apparently needlessly early. Staff got there around 8:45, which was fine, but I think either the email or booking system needs to be adjusted--for example, the first slot could be placed at 9:15 or 9:30. This would probably be better for staff too. This created a sense of confusion before the test (wondering if they had received my booking or the test would make me late getting back to work), and also wasted my friend's time who had taken the time to get up early and come with me. I also got hit with an extra charge for using my credit card when renewing my registration on an earlier day. Staff/examiners are overall polite. I've lived in provinces where the registries are not privatized, and have found the service to be more organized with more transparent pricing.

I got the test right away with the examiner Ken (who was also kind and knowledgeable) and got my license quickly back. There is not a lot of seating and I have seen 'standing room only' more than once. The chairs are hard and not very comfortable, but functional nonetheless. I have found the staff to be friendly, which is very important to me. However, be aware that they have a surcharge if you want to pay by credit card, which has influenced my decision to shop elsewhere in the past.
