We have been going to this restaurant for years starting with their buffet. However I'm not sure it's offered anymore. I recommend going the take out route. The portions are generous for the price and you won't find better Chinese food anywhere in the area. I mean it seriously it is good. We have treated friends who haven't been and they love it. The one downside is the restaurant itself needs updated but to me that has nothing to do with the quality of the food. Try it you won't regret it. read more

Ordered some pork fried rice which was very good. It was the egg rolls and wonton soup that wasn't very good. Wrapped way too many times on the egg rolls so insides weren't cooked well. Maybe even store bought. The wontons had zero meat in them. Broth was good but wouldnt order here again. read more

East China Restaurant in the Giant Shopping Center in Morrisville, Pa., may have been in operation for a long time...and, it shows. First impression upon entry is of a large buffet table (empty at night), torn carpet, dim lighting, and a desperate need of a makeover. The temperature is lower than comfortable as demonstrated by the hostess/owner wearing her coat as she seats and serves. This may be primarily a take out joint, but the large dining area belays that, and a few of the other reviews reflect dining in experiences. My light bite dinner of Wonton Soup (I ordered Hot & Sour Soup, but what the hey...?!), and Fried Dumplings was average. Chicken Broth with standard yellow dye, thick wonton skins and a meat filling that was lacking taste. Same for the Dumplings, with the exception of the dipping sauce which I doctored with chili sauce requested for flavor. East China feels and looks rundown and in need of a bright facelift. The owners seem content to do the minimum required to keep the doors open without real concern for customer satisfaction nor comfort. There are better Chinese/American houses nearby more deserving of your appetite. read more

Fine quality Chinese food. The mother and son combo run the show. The interior is outdated, old and dirty. The food is worth it though.

Hands down the BEST Chinese food in the area. I dine in once in a while and I'm seated quickly, given my bowl of noodles to munch on and they bring out very large generous portions of food. Phoenix chicken, triple delight or even general tsos are my favorites. I love their soups and my favorite appetizer.. Scallion pancake is to die for. They are quick too when delivering to my door. With coupons you can get free crab Rangoon or free 2 liter bottle soda with $20/30 or more for an order. Free large size general tsos with $40 or more. The woman that runs everything is so patient, polite and so sweet. read more

I've been getting take-out from East China since i was a kid, and attest that it's the best Chinese food in all of Morrisville, Yardley, Fairless Hills, and Levittown. I cannot comment on the buffet, but I'm not a buffayy-kinda-guy. read more

This is a buffet. The dishes seem to stay mostly the same, which can be good because you know what you're going to get when you go there. They never seem to be very busy, which I like. The girl who seats you appears to be about 10; who knows what kind of child labor laws they're breaking, but the food is good. :D read more

I hate places that make you purchase a minimum in order to use your debit card. I am a small person and I can probably only eat $5 worth of food, why do I have to buy a minimum of $10 with my debit card!!! read more

this is by far one of the WORST chinese food places i have EVER been too. The Buffet stunk, well what was left of it, the tables were dirty and the food was just out and out BAD...if you value your health and well being, dont go there! read more

The customer service was horrible. I had an old 20.00 bill and I was questioned by the cashier if it was real. Instead of having a pen to check it she was going to refuse my money. I offered a credit card but was denied because it wasn't 10.00.Another customer had to vouch for me that it was indeed real money! How embarrassing!! Then on top of it I ordered shrimp rolls and received spring rolls. My food was done in about 10 mins. The beef was so fatty and the rice was so greasy I couldn't even eat it. Great food, great service. The young girl mentioned in first post was the daughter of the previous owner - this restaurant has always been family-run and it shows in the quality of the food and service. The previous owner has since sold it to another family member, and it's still a wonderful place for eat-in or take-out. When we want Chinese food, we won't go anywhere else. read more
