Kam Buffet sits deep in the heart of Trenton off Clinton Avenue. It is a fairly large space and seems to have an active lunch trade. Service is minimal as in most buffets, with the two women in black directing seating and delivering drinks. They are friendly enough. The food spread is a combination of hybrid Chinese American, Latin and variations of fried chicken for everyone. I sampled a cross section of their offerings, including, General's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Egg Foo Young, String Beans, Pepper Beef, Boneless BBQ Ribs, and Dumplings. All were average to below, and some were cool from too much time out of the sun. Edible fare, but far from inspiring. The biggest problem is price. When such low quality victuals cost $10, there is something wrong with the proposition. Even Flaming Grill out on White Horse offers much more for substantially less. And, they use bigger plates without the notice everywhere that if you leave food on your plate there will be a 15% extra charge for waste. Plus, an extra buck for hot tea! Not a fan of buffet police. Hard to recommend Kam unless you are in the immediate area without means of getting to another Chez Chinois. Almost every China shop around here has lunch specials for $6 to $8, where the quality is better, and the portions ample. Kam Buffet. Once was enough.

Sea food buffet is realy good lots of verity. good service. And friendly staff easy parking lot of seating areas.

The picture says it all. The food selection is fairly small and the owner/manager is not a good actor when it comes to acting as if the not so little insect that joined our table was unusual. The picture is of our little new lunch buddy.

Great food for its price. The lobster and crabs are very flavoring. My kids loved it so much.

Good, fresh food. Extensive buffet selections. Clean environment. Standard prices on par with other Chinese buffets. Worthwhile experience.

They also have a small tray of Americanized sushi, which isn't too bad.

To clarify, this review is specifically for the Thali. The butter chicken was good, but the curry chicken was a bit bland. We would consider going back to try their other dishes, but probably not on a weekday during a lunch break. If you're coming from work and need to get back quickly, this may not be the best spot for a quick lunch.

In spite of good reviews and a second change in decor, that business was not able to survive very long. As I walked in to pick up my order I had mixed feelings. Sad about the fact that another very good and unique European restaurant was gone, and wondering about the future success of the new business. I noticed that the place had been painted and redecorated once again . This I guess could be called an Indian fusion house, offering many common dishes along with some I had not heard of. They also have Indo Chinese options. My first visit was so good that I thought I would return once more before reviewing. I tried the garlic naan and aloo paratha, both good to very good. The paratha was very thin and had a delicately spiced potato mixture inside, I wished there was more filling but enjoyed as it was. The chicken 65 tasted very good, but had too much sauce as I would have preferred the pieces of meat to be crispy. Chicken Radha was a rustic curry with about half of a bone in chicken. I loved this dish and the portion was 2 meals. Chicken biryani was equally tasty and came with very good raita. Chicken Manchow soup was new to me, think hot and sour soup and then add copious amounts of ginger and garlic. You have to like garlic to appreciate this soup, and I do and did! Service was friendly on both visits and orders were packed up very well, with additional onion, lime and peppers for the biryani and crispy noodles to top the soup with. A good friend went to dine in and had a great meal too, taking advantage of the all you can eat lunch Thali. I'm at about 4.5 stars for now....

For this year's Chinese New Year, I decided to take the family there for our New Year dinner, and the food was just as good as I remembered. The place hasn't changed a bit, the decor still looks exactly how I remember it, which brought back memories. Since some of my family and friends don't enjoy the same spice level as I do, we adjusted the heat for dinner, and everything still came out fantastic. We ordered the whole steamed fish, happy fish, green beans, tea smoked duck, pork chop, beef pan fried noodles, and more. Every dish was delicious, and the flavors were spot on. The service was a bit tentative at times, but the quality of the food definitely made up for it. Overall, it was a wonderful meal and a great way to celebrate. I definitely need to come back more often.

It seems that both the pepper steak and chicken with broccoli were in the same sauce (& I've actually found that to be common in this area for some reason) but were tasty overall. The egg roll was quite greasy and the wonton soup was pretty solid with the broth being the star. Oh the white rice was cooked how I expect and wish all Chinese white rice is cooked so that's a plus. Overall a true 3.5 star rating but since halves aren't possible I had to go to 3 because it certainly wasn't a 4.
