I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator for almost 5000.00. several days later, they were to deliver it. When the delivery here, they this refrigerator would not fit my small kitchen. So it never came into my home. So I called the office straight away to tell them what happened and cancel the refrigerator. I was told I would get a refund. That was on December 8. Then I called again, December 9. Then I called December 15 and again on the 24th. Now it's December 30 and they still have not refunded my money. If I were you, I would totally skip this place. When we asked questions, they were answered and recommendations were given for our consideration. We eventually bought what we wanted and delivery was set. Delivery, installation and removal of our old machines were handled professionally. All expectations were met without any issues. Ok Update time - they have earned a strong 5 star review from us for several things: Delivery. Customer service. Overall. Our builders made our laundry room so small and narrow it barely fits anything. It's a tiny closet where the front loader doors can't even open all the way and they're too wide for the door opening area. Eyeroll. So we bought some nice fancy LG appliances originally and one was out of stock and would take a month after move-in to get. So we called our salesman, John, who worked for an entire half day with the manager, Tim to try to find us another one or upgrade us to another in stock model. They found one but it was another color I didn't want. So we went with another company. Fast-forward to delivery day - it won't fit either. So we cancel. I go back to East Coast a few days later to have my card refunded bc you have to go in person for some reason. While there I discuss with John and Tim the issue and we look at another top loading smaller option due to our size restraints. They quickly find one I want in stock and set up delivery for a few days later. Now- delivery is wonderful. They call the day before to confirm. Then the morning of with a window. Then again 15 mins out when they're coming. They did this and we had painters painting our stairs. So they can't deliver. Tim calls and we reschedule for a few days later. Now, this day my husband who is home has a telework meeting he can't miss right in middle of window. So they move around the stated time to accommodate his meeting. Finally. It's here. This one fits - but barely - and is so tight that one guy had to lift it up over the other side while the other stood in the space and backed it in and climbed over it. Eye roll. Thanks Bishard. No damage to walls or floors and they were super polite. Five stars all around. For trying to find us something else originally. Easily allowing us to cancel. Finding something else when asked and being so accommodating on delivery issues again and again. In addition to all this - our builders had the wrong fridge put in right before closing and East Coast was the only store in town with the right one in stock. They came, delivered and set it up within 2 days of closing. It's nice! And the delivery people are all stellar. At least all ours were! Ordered a dishwasher and waited 2 weeks for delivery - they took my money. Day of delivery which I took off from work to be there for they call at 9AM telling me truck broke down sorry.... I call and explain that I took the day off - please get this installed. Zero effort or care given - essentially said nothing can be done. I ask "you only have 1 truck? If you care about customers you would rent a damn U-Haul. This company doesn't care about any of their customers. I asked to speak to a manager and was told "I am the manager" - WOW. Hope the owner reads this. Your company is AWFUL. I canceled my order and will deal with another company. Stay far away from this anti customer organization. Overall good experience buying an LG washer & dryer and GE Profile refrigerator. Todd Wood, the Assistant Manager at the Chesapeake store, was very helpful and knowledgeable. We're happy with our purchases. Delivery was easy, the guys were pretty good, except for one thing. I wish I was paying more attention to the washer/dryer installation because after the guys left, I realized that the reversible dryer door opened on the wrong side. We phoned ECA and went back to the store to inquire about getting that turned around, but no one was interested in helping us with that. We eventually got a handyman to turn it around. If I was paying more attention, and if the delivery guys had asked about the door direction, it could have been fixed right then and there. It is an assumption, however, that the delivery guys would have been willing to change it on the spot. read more

Do not buy from East Coast!! We have had the worst customer service, I will not buy from them again. My husband and I took a day off work and went into the store and purchased a high end dryer which we picked up and took home. Once we had already taken our broken dryer out of the house we opened the box and realized the dryer was damaged. We called and talked to our sales guy and two managers. They offers very little help. They said we can pack it up and bring it back to swap it out or we could pay an $80 delivery fee to have a new one delivered. Otherwise they could give us a $100 credit. I did not want a credit, I wanted a dryer that was not damaged. We did not have time to go back and swap out for a different dryer and I figured a local company would want to make it right for the customer and waive the delivery fee. That was not the case and they all have VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Finally they agreed to $200 back (after I was told the manufacturer would fix the issue if I called them directly and that was not the case and just the parts would cost $260) and it has been 7 weeks and I have not received the check. I was told "the checks get cut on Fridays" and stopped in the store after a month and then was told they only send those checks out once a month. They have been very inconsistent with their information (basically they just keep lying to me about everything) and have not fulfilled any of what they said they would do. I have been buying appliances from them for over 20 years and I will never go back. I am a strong supporter on local businesses and I have given them almost 2 months to try to make this right before posting this. Please save yourself the trouble and do not do business with this company. And to East Coast- you really should consider having a customer service department or at least one individual there that can talk to people and treat them in a more respectful manner. read more

We purchased a top load Speed Queen washer a few months back. We did our homework and pretty much knew exactly what we wanted: A very reliable, non-touch screen, just knobs, as little computer parts as possible, basic wash cycles with agitator, well-made, mostly American washer. We went to the Laskin Road store and had very good customer service. We knew the only one that fit our bill was probably a Speed Queen. The sales rep agreed, pointed the way, gave a bit advice and left us alone! We bought it, and it arrive a few days later on time, as promised. 10 minutes after installation it had very weird, rare pinhole leak in a built-in hose. We called the manager immediately. He was FANTASTIC! He said he would repair it or replace it and connected us to repair. After hearing what that would involve, we said nope..just give us a new one. The manager couldn't have been more cooperative. We got another washer in 2 days and I LOVE IT!! Yes, it is pricey, but it is so much better (of course) than my old reliable 30 yr old Maytag that finally rusted out. It is simple to use, washes beautifully and practically spins the clothes dry! All in all, a very positive appliance experience from Speed Queen and fab customer service from the sales rep and especially from the Laskin road East Coast Manager. read more

Three years ago we bought a high-end refrigerator and dishwasher from ECA. We have regretted that decision ever since. The dishwasher was not installed properly. We had to have a service team come out multiple times to fix different issues on it. The event that caused me to write this review was today when our THREE YEAR OLD refrigerator died. I started with a complaint 6 months after my purchase when the frig was still under warranty. 4 months later the problem isn't resolved and the lack of communication with the customer is unacceptable. I purchased a beverage refrigerator that had to be ordered. The staff was great up until I paid for it. I was told it would be a week and a half or two weeks. After two weeks of hearing nothing I called to check up. After having to call 4 times without being called back, I get an answer that it would three or more weeks and they could not give me an actual date. The whole time blaming their distributor. If they have it in the show room and you can walk out the door with it that day I would say go for it. DO NOT order anything from them as you will be left in the dark. The sales representative, John Langhorne was great in showing us our options when we explained what brand we were looking for and the many features we were interested in. He also was right on the money in the time frame we should expect for delivery which was two weeks. He was also instrumental is moving the delivery up by one day due to a scheduling conflict on our end. And the delivery team kept us posted throughout the day informing us how soon we could expect them. They were friendly, courteous and professional, making the entire experience very enjoyable. I purchased the stove using the online option & the representative was so helpful & the stove was way cheaper than Lowes & Home Depot plus it was in stock unlike the other stores. I bought a stackable washer and dryer unit for my condo, and they delivered it a week later. The price was a little high ant 1700 some dollars. However, the delivery people refused to take away my old unit and just left it outside without telling me. So, imagine my surprise when I walk outside and see my old unit sitting there in the street, almost in the middle. Didn't even bother to tell me they didn't take it. I called the store, and the delivery people said it had bug doo on it. I looked and the only thing I saw on the back was caked dryer lent, which would naturally be there for a unit that has been in use for 20 years. I would have been happy to wipe down the back if they had simply asked. Apparently, the movers are trained entomologists and can determine wet old lent from bug feces, perhaps a necessary skill? Anyway, do not use this company or its installers/deliver drivers. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! they are priced high and do not do a complete job. I found this to be totally unsatisfactory and I said so. After some hesitation, he said he would order the parts and that they would be back to fix it. It is now MAY 20th. I have called several times about the status and have been told they are waiting for parts. Totally disgusted I arranged to get the parts myself. They came in 2 days via UPS. The company made no effort to fix my machine and while I would love to support my local businesses, this type of abuse makes it impossible to ignore their lack of commitment to the customer. I purchased an ice maker from east coast appliance. The ice maker was not working properly so I contacted the service department. The service has been unbelievably poor and unresponsive. I have scheduled two times for someone to come to my house. Both times no one contacted me in advance to let me know approximate times As they said they would. I have just scheduled a third appointment. I will be surprised if they appear. The original repair call was in July, and they said they had to order a part. I purchased a Bosch W/D from this company. First, East Coast did not remove the shipping bolts from the front load washer. It caused the washer to dance across the floor. East Coast was zero help. I have photographic evidence to prove the shipping bolts were not removed. Second, the Bosch dryer does not work. It was broken out of the box. It leaks water all over the floor of the laundry room. I went in looking for a water filter, told them the type of water filter I needed, and showed them a previous order that I had placed online, and without the refrigerator model, they were unable to recommend the size filter that would fit for my fridge... We had guests coming in a couple days. We stopped in Saturday morning and was given great help by JR. He found us just what we wanted in stock, another white basic Whirlpool. He set us up for delivery on Monday. Rodney was our installer and also did a great job for us. He arrived in the given window and called when he was on his way. However within 24 hours, error code being displayed and it is not working. They say they will take 1.5 weeks to come out to look it. Horrible to see they will get people to spend thousands of dollars and sell faulty products and without taking care of their customers and ensuring they work properly. Should have just gone to a big box store, rather than try to stay local. Supposedly better service if you stay local. Don't spend your money here. Go to a more reliable store. She said i don't need to call and she will call me and let me know if the parts arrived. Another week passed and no call so i called back, she transferred me to the lady who order the parts and she said "she forgot to placed my order". Another week passed and i called again and was told the parts are not available where you order it from but she found another place to order it. This was lApril 15th and she said the earliest she can book my appointment for a repairman to come is a week after, April 22nd. Is this the kind of service you provide to your customers? SO it would take you about 7 weeks to repair? Im glad this is only an ice maker (which, i used everyday that's why i'm so pissed that right now, i had to pour water in a ziplock bag and freeze it so i can have ice everyday) problem. What if the engine is broke? Are you telling me that i will wait this long to have a refrigerator? How incompetent you can be. I bought a refrigerator for over $3,000. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the contractors who delivered it broke my brand-new sunglasses and then lied about it. Three contractors delivered my new refrigerator after giving me five minutes' notice that they were arriving. My new sunglasses were on the kitchen countertop. I went to the bedroom so as not to "micro-manage" and heard something fall from the counter. The contractors started laughing so I assumed it was something of theirs, as they had laid several items on the counter. After they left, I discovered my new sunglasses were missing. The store manager (Tim), called me and said he had spoken to the contractors. He said the contractors said they had found my sunglasses "on the floor and called out to me to ask where I wanted them placed." Obviously, I did not put my glasses on the floor, and I was not called as if I were, I would have personally retrieved my sunglasses. The contractors went on to say I must have misplaced them after they placed them "somewhere." I asked Tim where they put my glasses, and they could not answer. Tim told me he would let me know if the glasses "turned up." I said why would they turn up if the contractors claimed they placed them somewhere and then blamed me for misplacing them? I said that doesn't make sense, does it to which Tim replied, no it doesn't, and he hung up. Any decent manager would apologize to a customer on behalf of their contractors, demand the truth from the contractors, retrieve their tip (in a random act of kindness, I had tipped generously!), and reimburse any broken items. We ordered a new refrigerator from East Coast appliances over Labor Day this year and they delivered it dented and told us they would send us a replacement door - which has yet to arrive a month and a half later. They're estimating we will receive it almost 3 months post initial order. Additionally when they delivered the refrigerator they damage our home's walls, bannister, and floor and are refusing by to acknowledge that they did that. I'm really disappointed that that's how they do business - we wouldn't just make up damage to the home - and it can't possibly take 3 months to get a replacement door when the delivery men said it would take about two weeks. Our dishwasher stopped working so we called ECA. We were told that a technician would call to set up a time and no one ever did until we reached out to the service center. The technician was in our home for less than an hour an claimed to do a full service which he described as fixing a loose wire. The technician said it was fixed and we were good to go. The dishwasher then stopped working a week later. We called again and the same technician was supposed to come out. He called saying that he knew what was wrong so there was no need for him to come back out. We thought parts would be ordered that same day but we received an update and they were yet to be ordered and more parts were going to be ordered. We were told that we would receive a call New Years Day but we did not. We are very frustrated with how long our dishwasher has not been working and how much money we are having to spend on a repair. We are paying for parts as well as another service fee even though the technician said we would not have to if he needed to come back out. read more

It's been over a week now since I've been able to wash my families clothes.
