If I could shout it from the roof tops so that everyone in NY and the tri-state area could hear me, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! They are a scam to the worst degree! A bait and switch moving company that should never be in business! Ever! It started with Antonio asking me to make a video of my two apartments. Everything that needed to be moved was discussed through the video and over the phone, so he knew everything! I was quoted $5300 for the move from NY to CT. I anticipated that they might be off by 10 or 20 percent; boy was I wrong! After everything was loaded on the trucks, I was told that to deliver my furniture the cost went up to $14,000, and increase of 62% or to put it another way about 3X as much!!!!!!!! And if I didn't pay, they would take my furniture! Pablo, whoever he is, said the move took longer. NOT MY PROBLEM! Their rep, Antonio, saw everything that was to be moved and quoted me $5300. I didn't tell them what was to be moved, THEY knew through the videos! During the quoting process I even told Antonio about their tons of negative reviews, and he assured me that my quote was valid. And don't get me started on the damage to my furniture because they just threw all my stuff into boxes and even packed my garbage that was in a waste can! Worse moving experience I ever had! Starting with Antonio who gave us the quote and the move ended up costing twice as much. He is clueless and very unprofessional if you call to address any problems and will try to deny what he said to get the sale. Thanks to Irene (the best), and Dayquan (the Foreman and very nice) reaching out the manager named Pueblo we did get a slight discount, however our furniture showed up a day and half late to our destination because the driving time was miscalculated for the drivers. They broke countless precious Items, charged double their original hard quote, left almost a whole storage filled amount of our stuff behind and wanted an additional $1300 to move them. They where careless with our packages, late on delivery by 5 days and the manager or owner would not even speak to us not once!. This company is Bad news and Bad Biz! We gave specific dimensions, inventory and they still couldn't bring the right sized truck. When they arrived to our new home we noticed the truck had plenty of room for more of our stuff. Worst moving company ever. They work so hard to pressure you to choosing them and then you pay your deposit. The day before they call to confirm your contract that they email and then the day of the call in the morning to add on fees after you've already paid and settled on a contract. Do you know how frustrating and stressful it is to rely on a moving company and then day of they add fees on? They say they're not forcing you to pay and stay with them, but giving you no other option is exactly doing that. Where you find the tiny writing that says anything THEY damage or loose they will give you .60 cents per pound! They do value weight!!! So when they lose your jewelry though luck. Let me first tell you to never ever hire this company for your move. I recently moved from Northern New Jersey to Savannah, GA. They loaded one truck at my residence, unloaded the truck and stored the contents in a warehouse, then re- loaded the contents onto another truck. When the men were packing the furniture and the boxes my son and I packed, they complemented us on the packing. When we we unpacked the boxes in our new residence, we were appalled at the amount of damage that was done to the contents. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars of glass, figurines, and religious items, pictures attached. They further destroyed a wall unit, splintered wood and glass doors broken. Furniture legs were removed from couches, chairs and bedroom dressers. We are still looking for some of the legs. Further, somewhere inall the moving about, a piece that connects a bedroom mirror to the dresser was lost. Also, a vacuum cleaner was left behind. In spite of assurances it would be sent to us, it has not. By the way, it has now been six weeks. Before using this company, go to BBB. Everyone and I have the same complaint against this company. I took as far as reaching out to the Attorney General and DOT to start an investigation. I was moving from Staten Island to New Jersey. They showed up late. Their driver tried to request more money out of me. I told him no, I'm not paying that amount. He threatened to hold my items. I told you to do it. I would call the police. My items upon delivery were damaged. Did I pay them no. I'm still replacing items that they damaged. That cost me over $700. I filed a claim. They are not recommended., for the following reasons: 1. The sale representative (Jason) was not upfront in the sales pitch. During numerous conversations he (Jason) indicated that i could receive my products on the date i identified. To be advised after they received the items that this was not the case. It took 5 days from the pick up date and the company made the independent decision to ship my items in 2 shipments resulting in the lost of items and.an additional 4 days for the second delivery to arrive. 2. They up charge you upon immediately following the loading of the truck from the quote provided. My cost of $2,800 increased to over $5660.. 3. They subcontract their movers and the movers begin requesting tips following "hello and my name is" and took no care of the items, box's arrived squashed and broken at seems. 4. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD!!!!!! I IMPLORE YOU NOT TO TRUST YOUR BELONGINGS TO THESE PEOPLE!!! Would give no stars if it were possible. My family's experience is almost identical to PONG C. (rvw from BBB). My son was quoted $1100 (not an estimate a hard quote) to move from Brooklyn back to Atl. On the day of the move it doubled to $1800. Also $150 for stairs which would be fair except it was not advised until DAY OF MOVE, so another hidden predatory practice. This behavior is predatory because people are flustered, tired, & generally on time crunches to move. Therefore, not in a position to haggle ESPECIALLY once the truck is loaded. With a reputable company you have the amount/fees, and any contingencies are explained, before they start. The square footage is arbitrary because my son moved zero pieces of furniture only kitchen wares, clothing, a heat press & vinyl cutter. Then move was promised to arrive on June 1 from a 5/29 pick up, it arrived on Jun 6th. This was after several calls from us to them, not the other way around to keep us informed. We had to call from different numbers to get answers once they became familiar with a number. To make matters worse things were open, broken, and one suitcase of expensive designer & collectible sneakers was completely missing. My son had to help them move the items off of the truck because they were being so careless. They also ultimately left without having him sign for receipt of goods. They asked for water as a diversion that they were taking a quick break and left with no notice. Which to me is direct admission that they are well practiced at the hustle, because had they asked for the signature he would have inventoried and noticed the missing items! I believe & want to investigate/prove they string people along with ever changing delivery dates, so that they can take your things to their warehouse and decide what they would like to keep/sell. What is left is treated with the upmost lack of care. If you move with this company, you will be sorry! Any five-star reviews are likely fraudulent. The heat press and vinyl cutter pictured cannot be used because the legs are actually broken and bent beyond repair. His boxes were visibly opened as what is shown. He also received a box of another person's belongings: Police badge for US Recovery Agent along with some other very personal effects like pictures, rosary, baby keepsakes, & tapes. this company is a scam. I told them the number of boxes I had, the number of beds and the one dresser I was going to bring with me. I received a quote and when the movers arrived , the movers quoted me double the amount of furniture. I think they count each mail or knob on the furniture piece. my bill went from $1,000 to $8,000! it's ridiculous. The workers had an attitude and when I told them to unload because I couldn't afford it my furniture was mistreated and what ever screws the had removed from the beds they threw around. my dresser was placed upside down on cement floor in the garage so now it was damaged and scratched. This was our first time moving so we started with many questions. I want to be clear because we did not know what to expect. I will be as brief as possible but you might learn something by reading. First, the way they explained it to us was as follows. Items would be picked up from our home, moved to Florida and when we arrived we would schedule delivery. When we called to confirm the date we were told that our items were still in NY and would arrive sometime around when we asked. It's a very long story but they left us without our things for 2 days. Men arrived at night and started counting stairs. They would not move anything until they spoke to their main office because they were saying there was one more step and we owed more money. It took over an hour to rectify it and they started moving at 9pm. We carefully went through our items and it was not hard to determine that a flat screen 60 inch tv was missing. Not sure how you lose that but guys said maybe it's still in NY so we contacted the office the following day and. We were told to fill out a claim. Turns out they paid us a whole $33 for a 60 inch flat screen. Apparently they said there is fine print that stated they replace items lost according to weight. Not the item. So. STAY AWAY!!!! I moved from New York to Virginia a couple of weeks ago. I was thrilled to find a company that was able to move me from my 1 bedroom apartment for under $1000.00. I completely & thoroughly misjudged & underestimated how much stuff I had (my own fault) to bring with me. When the movers arrived on Thursday morning, I was told that my total almost tripled! I was told that my new total was $2800.00. AND..... I needed to pay an additional $300.00 cash tip for the men. This would cover my total move. Long story: Short The movers arrived at my new home at 10:00pm (they were scheduled to come between 7am and 9am) on Saturday. I was told that the truck broke down, earlier in the day. The time kept getting pushed back. When I expressed concern about the late hour & the fact that it was pitch black outside, the reply I received was, "So your (sp) saying you do not want your delivery?" What choice did I have? They arrived & opened to back of a rented, box truck and I almost fainted! All of my boxes were crushed into the truck, stacked floor to ceiling! Boxes that were clearly marked "FRAGILE" were upside down or sideways. Many other boxes were torn and damaged. I was very lucky that the worst casualty was my food processor. It was destroyed. My television (it was stored in it's original box) was apparently dropped & the corner is cracked & broken. Thankfully, it is still in working order. DON'T EVEN CONSIDER BOOKING THESE GUYS FOR A SECOND!!!. It was by far the worst experience I ever had dealing with a company. For starters some clown came to my home in N.J. to look at my possessions for a GA. move. He assured me the quote was binding and my furniture would be delivered in 3-5 days. Turns out I was without furniture for 9 days and every time I called them (Irene apparently is the supervisor or whatever) I was told perhaps tomorrow and then they avoided my calls entirely. I wish that was the extent of my nightmare, upon arriving they showed me the contract and in ink there was a box highlighting extra cubic feet needed. I asked the guy how do u know I will need more? His response was almost everyone does, turns out the price jumped $1600 dollars at that point with furniture on truck I felt like a hostage. After a week they gave the job to a third party and upon arrival my bedroom set was badly damaged as was a second bedroom set all scratched up, a floor lamp was missing along with a glass shelf from a very expensive TV stand in addition to a missing step stool. Boxes were crushed and delivered upside down. I can continue but it's just too much to write. I don't know how these people get away with this it's unbelievable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I was contacted by Christopher Overby telling me he had room on a truck going to Florida from NY that he could give me a great deal on (super nice as this was before I paid my deposit.) He told me that it would cost me $999 and left out that was the price without taxes. Also he had not listed everything that I told him I had. I called him back a few days later to tell him I forgot a keyboard my daughter had and like 2 more things, he emailed me a new quote of $1341. I spoke to several other moving companies that told me the quote I was given was super low and that I should really reconsider using East Coast Moving because it sounded like they were a company that would jack up the price once they loaded everything onto the truck. I against my better judgement trusted East Coast Moving which was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made! As soon as Diquan (something like that) walked into my apartment he said " I have been doing this for many years and just looking at your stuff I can tell you that you will be over by at least 256 feet." This is before touching anything and mind you ALL my stuff was against 1 wall in the living room minus the 2 beds. I do not have a lot of stuff. He told me to get my calculator out and told me to put in 256 X (their amount per sq. ft.) can not remember off the top of my head and said the cost would be around $2,200. He also told me that they were suppose to charge me to wrap my TV and some other things which also was not disclosed to me when I called to get a quote. So walking in the door already $859 more then I was quoted. I was super annoyed at this point, already had my flight booked for the next morning first thing. I told him fine load the stuff. They loaded all my stuff then Diquan came and asked me to come outside in which he tells me that I have taken more space on the truck then what he said I would when he walked in saying he has done this so many years now telling me like 300 more sq ft. he does not show me the inside of the truck he shows me marks on the outside of a large WHITE truck. They did not pack my stuff in like you are supposed to save room, they already have their scam in place (exactly as I was warned by the other moving companies). Diquan then told me that the cost would be $3,089 to move my stuff. I was shocked & I told him absolutely not paying that amount. I also told him I had been warned they would do this to me by other moving companies. Oh and another thing they only take cash payments which was a huge red flag to me. I even asked Christopher to make an exception so I could get my points o my credit card & he said no. Clearly people have put stop payments on their credit cards because this company is a ripoff! I had to call the office and spoke to Irlene in which she said she had to go with what the driver told her & I told her that I was not paying that amount. Then she told me they would unload but I had to pay $400. I told her they should be ashamed with the Pandemic and people not working them trying to rip people off. Diquan finally came back inside & said they would do it for $2,2077. He put the balance owed $200 more than it really was as he did not subtract the deposit I paid already & a discount I had. They were suppose to deliver my things within a certain time period and called me 3 days earlier to tell me they would be there 2 days before they were supposed to come and I had to cancel 3 job interviews in Miami losing those job opportunities. They were suppose to arrive between 1 to 3 and did not show up till 6:15 at night. Small yellow Penske moving truck not large white one. Throwing the other people's things to the side to get to mine (only 2 people on that truck). They broke my 50' Sony TV cracked, my dishes, new entry table scratched, bike messed up. Broke light & bell on bike. Canvass painting scratched. Irlene sent me a claim form and said they only require .60 per lb. That would be like $6 for my TV. I told Irlene to have Christopher call me and to this day never did. After he booked me, pawned me off. He was rude when I called him to tell him there were a few things I missed, his response was I am too busy to go over inventory with you right now contact Irlene. He wasn't too busy to speak to me before I paid the deposit to book them. Super shady company! Do not trust anything they say. They may seem cheaper but that is all a scam to book you then jack up the price once they have everything loaded on the truck! It is a shame in this Pandemic where so many people have lost their jobs (me being one of them) taking everything you have saved up. I will sue them! On top of everything else I received a video call on Whatsapp from 3 guys I did not recognize the number but when answering I recognized the face of the one calling from NY it was one of the moving guys that I did NOT give my phone number to! Many items showed up with the packaging removed and just thrown in a pile. Fine art pieces totally destroyed. Antiques destroyed. Box tape stuck to articles removing paint from items. One of a kind items that are irreplaceable. It was a small list of items that ended up being more than double the quote. It went from $1400 to $3445 for less than 7 ft single layer space. Then of course we paid almost double then the original quote once they filled the truck up. From 2600 to 4800. They calculate it by hand and cubic ft, which who knows if they even tell the truth. Then we were told 3-5 days to receive your belongings. Took 7. Then upon delivery the driver calls and says we owe almost 400 more on the balance after we had a signed receipt. He texts that if we are not there then 1000 rescheduling fee, when we never had Scheduled a time to begin with. Just the driver will call you from the road. Tons of aggravation, then Irene who is super unprofessional sends a text that says if you don't pay we are going to put your things in a local storage unit and you will pay the full fee plus the storage fees. I called her for more info because my paperwork and the driver paperwork doest match, she told me she's about to have dinner with her family and cannot talk! Finally the owner Pablo says the driver miscalculated the receipt, but no one from the company called to explain just threats of a higher payment.
