This is second review I have done in pristine who provided us with a quote based on items to be iced from New York to Florida and then after packing the items in the truck, they reported that th price would be increased by almost 1/3. Instead of addressing the complaint I made someone said I was a disgruntled ex employee but I have never worked for pristine and I stand behind my one star rating. I am not an ex wife or ex husband or baby daddy or any other excuse they will provide for sub par service. I am a dissatisfied customer. read more

This is the single worst company I've interacted with in my adult life. A few facts: - They delivered our stuff 11 days after the move-in date - We spent a few hundred on bare minimum bedding and toiletries and food because of delays - Of the 7+ times we talked to them on the phone and they said "we will follow-up by a certain time," they did not do that even once. My partner moved to a new city to start a new job. She planned work around promised delivery dates (even delayed ones) that they missed. It made everything more overwhelming than it had to be. Despite doing extensive research, this company was not what it seemed. They consistently set expectations and failed to meet them. BAIT-AND-SWITCH SCAM -- FINAL PRICE WAS NOT FINAL, RUDE MANAGEMENT I was quoted $3,200 for a full-service move that included packing and delivery, based on a thorough video walkthrough where I showed every room, piece of furniture, and number of boxes. We even exchanged emails confirming that the price was final and would not change. Once the movers had already half-loaded the truck, they suddenly claimed the job would actually cost $7,500, saying they "underestimated the space." At that point, I was trapped -- they were holding my belongings mid-move. When I called the manager to discuss this outrageous upcharge, he was extremely rude, unprofessional, and refused to honor the quoted price. No explanation. No flexibility. Just a hard push to accept a more than double price hike on the spot. This was nothing short of a bait-and-switch, and they used the pressure of the situation to force a higher payment. It's dishonest, unethical, and feels like extortion. Avoid this company at all costs. DO NOT USE FOR LONG DISTANCE MOVE We used Prestine Van Lines to move from NY to Florida. While we had an estimator come out to assess the cost -- we ended up being charged 20% more for the move after they packed up our apartment in June. We had Prestine store our belongings until we found a house in Miami. I scheduled our delivery more than a month in advance and made it VERY clear to Arlene that it was critical that we have our belongings arrive by today, 9/11/25. She told me it would not be a problem. I explained we have family taking off work and flying to Miami to help us get situated this weekend. She said I did not have anything to worry about. I did not hear anything from Prestine until I called on Tue 9/9 to confirm timing for the delivery -- expecting it to be either Weds 9/10 or Thurs 9/11 this week. I was told that they NEVER guarantee delivery and that all of our belongings are still in NJ. Then they said if I wanted guaranteed delivery I needed to pay more money (contradictory with prior point about them not guaranteeing deliver). I made it very clear back in August that I needed on time delivery when I scheduled my move in and they said it would be no problem. There was no suggestion that I needed to pay more. Simply that it would be here on time. They completely deny telling me that the delivery would be here on time. They indicated they have call recordings of that conversation but they refuse to pull the call recording to verify what I was told. On Tues, 9/11, they told me it would be here by Friday or latest Saturday. I called on Thursday, 9/13 to confirm that everything was on its way. Ultimately our belongings were not delivered until Monday, 9/15. The owner threatened me to hold my belongings for 60 days since I left a poor review. He is refusing to actually provide any documentation that verifies his claim that his staff told me delivery was not guaranteed. We had to find alternative lodging while we waited for our belongings. We had to have relatives cancel flights. I ultimately was out of town for the proceeding 10 days so we were not able to unpack until this past weekend. They convinced me it was worth paying a premium for their service because of the white glove support they provide. That is a great sales tactic but they do not back it up in terms of customer service. read more

SCAM ALERT: Provided full inventory with measurements and quoted $1600 after negotiating only for them to show up and charge over $2600. The sales guy is either terrible at his job or they are doing this regularly as no 1600 'quote' ends up being 2600. Professionalism: Delivery Forman started screaming at the top of his lungs he was a 'Queens N word' and he was not to be 'F*cked with' after I had already called the office boss and was waiting for a call back. I asked him to stop talking about a price he doesn't have the power to change and he completely crashes out telling me he can talk about the price as much as he wants. When I asked him to explain the paper work his exact quote to my face and camera was 'F*ck you' before walking out. Never came back to complete the paperwork, had someone else do his job. He only calmed down after verbally acknowledging my phones camera in his face. Delivery: Calls me NEW YEARS MORNING at 8 am for a delivery at 7 pm. I ended up calling him at 9 pm to tell them it's too late. Delivery never even happened. Missing items: they left almost every single (tv & audio) remote, a subwooofer and its equipment and bar stools. The one pictured below is the stool the Forman sat in for 4 hours straight when the movers worked. Movers: did good work, even tipped them well after all this nonsense, pickup and delivery. Because of my work, I'm a seasoned mover with 6 moves across 4 states just in the last 12 years alone. This company tells you want you want to hear on the phone and then does what it wants. I strongly caution against using Pristine Van Lines. My experience was deeply distressing and misleading from start to finish. What went wrong: Shockingly low initial estimate that ballooned by the time of move due to hidden fees and flawed contracts. When we attempted to negotiate, they threatened to unload our possessions onto our front lawn--shockingly rude and unprofessional. The delivery crew was sexist, disrespectful, and dismissive, especially toward me (a 19-year-old woman), which made an already stressful situation even worse. Belongings marked "FRAGILE," like my mom's kitchen items, were mishandled--tossed around carelessly, resulting in cracks. Luggage went missing, and attempts to seek compensation or correction were completely ignored. No attempt to honor the original quote or negotiate the final price--nor any accountability. Overall, the team rushed, was inconsiderate, and made a tough experience even harder when we needed kindness. Overall, I'd say: Avoid Pristine Van Lines unless you want to risk surprise costs, damaged belongings, and emotional stress. Moving is hard enough--don't let their shady practices make it worse. I have had the exact same awful experience as the previous review on here. Uncharged at pick up even though they were fully aware of what was in my storage unit (as I sent them pictures and a video). Was told at pick up I would have my things in 3-5 business days. 5 business days later they tell me I need to pay more money and the truck hasn't even left the warehouse yet. It has now been TEN days and I have had no communication or update on my belongings. DO NOT HIRE THIS PLACE. Lack of communication. Zero concept of customer what customer service is. No credibility. I'm actually unsure how this place is still in business. If you are reading this please do me a favor and RUN and don't look back. I had a relatively small move and this company was amazing every step of the way! These negative experiences don't seem accurate compared to what I experienced. The customer service was on point, I had every question answered and regular updates every time I called in. Sean and the crew that came were early, friendly and respectful, they handled my property with care just as I had asked and used extra materials even if it costs more, I needed the best protection possible. I had a few more things than I was quoted for and they let me know, less stuff than quoted and I would pay less, more stuff than quoted and it would be more which out of common sense I expected and the owner worked with me and my budget and even gave me a great discount! The driver Frasier called me about a day before delivery to make sure I was home and give me a delivery time. My stuff arrived perfectly packed and in the exact shape as it was picked up! They helped me unpack, assemble my bed, couch and table and even put everything exactly where I wanted so I tipped both crews that helped me for their great service because I was nervous about moving but they made it so simple and easy. I was wishful thinking that maybe it was just a bunch of extreme cases that had very specific horrific experiences but i am fully aware now that any of these positive reviews have to be fake.Unprofessional, unresponsive, zero understanding for customer service. How do you hire a MOVING COMPANY to transport your belongings but once your items are in transport you now apparently have no communication with the drivers of this truck and your belongings are now in limbo 3x longer then were told and charged double what agreed on at pick up. We recently used this company to do a commercial move from Long Island down to Georgia. The gentleman that showed up arrived promptly, dressed in uniform, and we're extremely careful packing/loading all of our item's. honestly so disappointed in this place. I was quoted 2,050 for my move. on pickup I was charged for a long haul fee of 800 when the truck wasn't anymore than 15 feet from the door. I was charged 450 for 3 flights of stairs when the first flight was supposed to be free. I also told the guy I was on the third floor when I booked the truck and he failed to mention the extra fee. I was also charged for the tape they used to wrap the furniture blankets to my furniture. saying the furniture blankets are free and charging for the tape you use to wrap them is so unbelievable deceptive. they then went through and re-taped every single one of my boxes excessively. they used almost a whole box of tape when they didn't need any, I assume they must get some kind of bonus from the up charges. the guys who delivered our stuff didn't set up the furniture like they were supposed to and left trash outside our home. it says in the agreement that you can pay with debit, credit, cash, among a few other options but does NOT disclose the fee they charge for debit cards. I would have gladly taken the cash out had I know about the fee but figured I'd save myself some time during a stressful time since there was no mention of a fee. both during pickup and drop off the movers stressed me out about where they were going to park their truck, talk about making a move more stressful. if I could go back I would have rented a uhaul and done it all myself, would have been way less stressful and 1/4 of the price. all in all I paid close to 4,000 almost double what I was quoted. the hidden fees and up charges that were not accurate to the service provided were insane. and to top it all off multiple items were damaged from their handling. read more

They made my worst nightmare over the moving. I moved out of state. They gave me an estimate then charge me more than 50% extra because too many stuff and they let this know with me after they started to packing up. They made pictures about my apartment and they made fun of my stuff. The movers were rude. The boss did the same over the phone. They even left lot of stuff in my old apartment because the truck is full and I need one more extra truck (with more extra money). I don't recommend for nobody this company. read more

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Before you decide to use this moving company be aware that whatever is originally quoted will double . Mike the sales person will give you the bells and whistles to get your business, tells you about all the moving companies that give you BS prices to get your business and then double your price. Well guess what that's exactly what they did to me!! I know it is hard to determine what someone actually has but I sent pictures of my storage room (9x10x8), which was about 85% full. The room if full equals 720 cubic feet and somehow I was magically charged for 876 cubic feet, day of delivery. Please make sure you know exactly how many boxes, plastic containers, furniture and so on. I was in complete shock and the foreman told me my new DOUBLED price went from $2800 to $4500, he stated, we get this all the time, Mike is a salesman's. Shame on ME for believing this guy and that this company was honest!!! I had to keep calling Pablo, the manager regarding my overinflated new price... I was discounted $200 after calling him 3 times when I never got his promised return calls regarding the issue. He tells me they discounted me $400 because my initial quote had some Internet coupon of $200...One thing has nothing to do with the other...His $200 discounted price is a complete and utter joke. After calling again I was told my items went out Monday and would be delivered Wednesday or Thursday, when I didn't receive a call regarding the time of delivery, I called the office again and found out the truck "broke down" in Maryland on Monday and they are sending a new truck to reload all items onto It, which makes no sense because is it now Thursday. This delayed my delivery over a week... No follow up calls from anyone at Pristine . When I spoke to the guys who actually delivered my stuff, I asked why they never called to let me know when they were heading out and they stated we called you yesterday (Sunday) when they actually LEFT New York!!!! So I was LIED to by Everyone accept the guys delivering! This place is a nightmare! PLEASE PLEASE trust and believe they are scam artists and NOT running a business with integrity!!!! Typical bait and switch. quoted one price then doubled it when they came to my daughters for pickup. also did not deliver when they said, my husband and I only had one week to help my daughter settle in and they knew this and agreed to have to delivered beginning of the week, well it came at 9:30pm Thursday evening, leaving us one day to help her. also charged $75 for a tv box that was cardboard taped around tv. they kept giving me the run around and changing times and dates. and to make it even worse they lost some of my daughters items. stay far away from these people, they lie and pretend they care but they do not! made it a very stressful and upsetting time when it should've been an exciting fun time for us all. read more

The move itself was fine. They were punctual and efficient. However they upcharged me after I loaded everything on there. Then they tried to act like they did me a favor by lowering the price an extra 500 from 700. After that everything went smooth but their payments are sketchy too, they couldn't wait 1 to 3 days for zelles to be approved normally. Not sure why that matters, seems shady. I had a fantastic experience with Pristine Vanlines. They surely delivered in many ways. I had a move from NJ to Florida. Everything was picked up on the day expected by Dayquan, Fasier and Alex. I could tell the packing was spot on and my belongings were protected. Everything was delivered on the day expected and they set up a new bedroom set. A nightstand that was still packed in the furniture store box was opened and came damaged. Sean went above and beyond with his customer service skills and offered to take the nightstand back to this specialty store in NJ and performed a return. I just received this last piece on their next run down to the Naples area. Mikey phoned me along the way to update me on the ETA and this piece was opened and in perfect condition. I am so pleased with Pristine Vanlines. I am a realtor in NJ and Florida and will recommend them to all my clients that are making a move. read more
