Giving absolutely "ZERO" Stars for this embarassment to all other ECW's everywhere. I hope the owner of the ECW in Salisbury, NC sees this review and makes their staff do some additonal training on customer service and how to seat larger parties when you are super busy. My family and I have been to many ECW's over the years and our visits and food have been 5 STARS all the way, until last night. My family of (6) adults and (3) children went out to have a birthday dinner for my daughter in law. ECW is her favorite and we just happen to of been in Salisbury. We literally sat there for over an hour waiting for tables. I would say 50 or more people came through the door after we arrived and they all were seated within 3-5 minutes, some of these parties were (2), (4), (6) people. We didn't say anything, because I feel like as employees, they should know what they are doing and I thought they were doing their best to seat us as soon as possible. They did ask us if we wanted to set at high top tables, we unfortunately had to decline twice because we had small kids that needed high chairs, which I feel should have been pretty clear to the staff that a high top table would not work for us due to having small children that needed high chairs. THEN, the hostess told me that they were working on two tables, one was clear and they were waiting on the other one to clear, and asked if we minded being split up a little, I told her absolutely seating us apart is just fine, at this point, we just wanted to eat. 10 minutes later, the same hostess who told us she was working on our tables, took a party of (8 adults) to the seats that I assumed she was working on for us. Leaving us once again, to wait. I finally said something and asked why we weren't sat before that party of (8), We could have easily been sat down at those two tables, with two high chairs and the the (3) child who is very small could have sat between two adults easily. She mumbled something and went to get the Manager. The Manager came up front to show some sort of authority, not real sure why because all she did was look over the wall behind the hostess station for about 30 seconds and said, yea there just isn't much we can do.. That officially pushed me and my family right over the edge, So we left. As we are leaving we received a very insincere apology!! Do better ECW in Salisbury, NC you are an embarrasment to the amazing owners and employees at other ECW's. read more

This is crazy. I ordered 10 mild boneless wings. I get home open the box and it's straight oil. The wings taste like oil you bite into it and nothing but oil there's no flavor or anything just oil it's nasty. The whole bottom of the plate was oil. I picked up my order at about 8:20pm it takes me about 25 min to get home by that time they are getting ready to close I wouldn't make it back up there in time so I called and talked to a man and a woman, they both said they can't do anything about it that's how the wings are. Waiting 10 minutes to be seated... it wasn't busy, 7:30 on a Monday. Once I was seated I quickly realized the 6 people at the bar were being so loud it would be impossible to sit in there without getting a headache. Despite it not being their fault, the polite person helped me get the order corrected through Door Dash. Even texted me after contacting DD on her end. We were on our way to VA. Stopped here for a salad. The lettuce was crisp, portions were generous, and the restaurant was CLEAN. The star.... Miss Tammy!! She made us feel as if we were dining at her home. She is the epitome of GENUINE southern charm. Her smile is infectious and her attention to detail is TOP tier. It is EVIDENT that she cares for her customers. Tammy is an absolute JEWEL. Whenever our travels bring us this way again, hungry or not we will stop. I have a long standing history with this place as it was very close to my house. One of the board members for East Coast wings actually lives in my neighborhood and I know him very well. He is retired now but he will hear about how poor this place is being run now. Boneless wings in the morning before noon brought out cold. Ask for fresh wings and they came out not even 2 minutes after that were hot on the outside cold on the inside. This used to be my go to wing place. It's been like this the last three times. Edible but poor compared to other places. Server was awesome but obviously has been hearing this a lot lately. I won't mention her name so as not to get her in trouble. Crispy, flavorful wings for a reasonable price! We dined here on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated upon arrival and greeted by our waitress. She took our drink orders right away and patiently answered our questions. The menu offers ample flavor options and spice levels. Plus you can mix and match the flavors in one order. Our order arrived accurately and in a reasonable amount of time. We enjoyed all of the wing options selected and sides. I recommend the honey mustard wings. I did not realize the sweet potato fries would have cinnamon on them. I asked if I could get the fries without cinnamon and our waitress quickly swapped them out for plan sweet potato fries. Before I even rate the food. The old waiter lady was really nice. The food on the other hand was terrible and so were the drinks. My lemon pepper chicken wings were sour and over seasoned. Hella lemon and no pepper for real. They also gave me no tooth pick. Cups dirty as hell view the pic. Mild wings were flavorless and dry. This location is very unorganized and unprofessional. My husband and I tried to eat here on Wednesday March 17. They were very busy so I assumed we would have a wait and I was ok with that. We stood by the front desk for almost 10 minutes and when the hostess finally came over she ignored us and asked a gentleman that just walked in the door if he would like to put his name on the wait list. She then proceeded to walk away from the host stand. My husband and I just left. On Saturday March 20 my daughter and I decided to eat a late dinner at this same location. We checked the website and Facebook for time of closing. Both said 10:00 pm. Again they were busy and we were prepared to wait. We went to the host stand and I told the hostess that their were 2 of us for dinner, she said there would be a wait. I said ok, how long and she said she didn't know. She didn't take our name. My daughter and I sat down for about 5 minutes and then I said let's stand up by the host stand so she doesn't forget about us. At that point another hostess very rudely told us they were closing in 10 minutes and to come back another day. I was shocked. I have been a restaurant GM and I would never allow my staff to treat a customer that way. Even if they closed at 9 they could have said something before we waited but as a restaurant manager I have never turned a customer away before we were actually closed. We left and I called the restaurant to talk to the manager and the hostess that answered the phone answered with "we are closed right now". At that point it was 8:50pm. I understand they were busy but the rudeness was uncalled for. We frequent this restaurant 3-4 times a month and after these two episodes we will not eat here again. read more

We call in our orders since service is so slow. We change one thing on the menu item and they can't ever get it right. 5 times now, last time I said if its wrong this time we are not coming back. This place was truly 3.5 stars as they have a lot they could work on. The place itself was a little smaller than other East Coast Wings (ECW). I have honestly never been a huge fan of ECW to begin with. I think the prices are a bit too steep for the quality of food. The wings are only average and this is supposed to be their specialty. Specifically for this place, the food seemed to take a really long time for an early lunch (11 am) when there were only a few other occupied tables. I got the club wrap and unfortunately it was a bit of a let down. I'm not sure if it was chef choice or if it is part of the menu, but the cheese used on the wrap was the yellow American cheese slices that come individually wrapped from the grocery store. No flavor. After I removed the cheese, the wrap itself wasn't bad. The house chips were excellent! The best I've had from an ECW. Very crispy and quite tasty. read more

Do NOT recommend! Me and seven friends were seated on the patio and waited for 15-20 minutes for a server to come by and take our drink and food order. We were then told by a staff member that we were "banned" for "not" tipping during our last visit. She then singled out one of our friends by describing his vehicle. We used to dine in at this location 2-4 times a week and recently haven't been in a couple months because we burned ourselves out on it. We do not appreciate how we were treated tonight! And just a PSA we may be teenagers and early twenties, but we ALWAYS leave a decent tip!! read more

Hadn't been to any ECW in forever so I figured since I just recently moved to Thomasville I'd check out the one locally. It's a small restaurant but sure does it pack in a lot of people! The energy walking in was lively. We were seated and a young guy named Anthony was our waiter..he said it was his first night on the job (didn't believe that since he acted like a pro)--huge shout out to him though for being extremely friendly even under pressure!! Red oak on draft is always a win, we had fried pickles for an app too that were very very tasty. The food took no time to come out and was absolutely delicious!! I was so full but i just kept loading it in. We left fat and happy and will for sure be back!! read more

The place does have good wings on some days then others it doesn't have sauce on the wings, then when u call in they say 20 mins then u wait 25 mins to go pick it up and go there no one is at the front to help you or they are just looking at you and not helping, one time I ordered and went to pick it up and they didn't have the order even in so I had to wait an additional 30 mins to get my food. So in the past couple weeks I've been to this location three times, twice for lunch and once for supper. All three times service was great, the first waitress even remembered us on our repeat visits which is nice. The first lunch visit was wonderful, the wings were covered in sauce, full of flavor and juicy, although the second visit was a miss. Those particular wings seemed old and reheated, barely warm, and really skimpy on the flavor sauce. One of the wings meat was so lacking that it was mostly hard and so much that I couldn't even eat it. It was wing day that day and so maybe they made them ahead of time? Last, the third visit for supper was wonderful just like the first. We have visited before and the chicken philly was pretty good but wings are supposedly their specialty, bragging to be "the best in the business" so I was expecting them to be consistently good. All-in-all I guess you could say the meals are hit or miss but the service has always been great. read more

First time visit. I love locally owned restaurants. Yes they are a chain based in the South but the atmosphere provides a hometown feel. The place was packed on a Monday night with people lined up out the door waiting for a table which is always a good sign. I have a personal rule where I refuse to wait longer than 10 minutes to be seated no matter the caliber/class of the restaurant - to me there are too many options out there to justify wait more than 10 minutes for seating. So my friend and I took the last two seats at the bar. Service - the bartender immediately greeted us. I was impressed by this because she was swamped with drink orders - the place was packed. It's a small bar so only one person could work the bar, and she was incredible at it. Always a smile and on top of every one's order, both the patrons at the bar and her servers. Owner Alert - give her a raise. On top of our drink order, which was I nice pour, we ordered the buffalo shrimp, fried pickles and wings. I also did the "Insanity Wing Challenge". The food was perfect, mind you it's bar food but good bar food. FYI on the Insanity Challenge - I'm a hot food fanatic so beware, this insanity wing is beyond stupid hot. Do not attempt! I thought I was going to die. They warned me so it's all on me. FYI - Kid friendly. Great service. incredible menu selection. I know it's locally owned and operated they still wouldn't fix the problem, so I will not be going back. Most of the waitresses there are more concerned with gossip and who there date is that night when they get off or sitting outside smoking than taking care of paying customers. My review is focused on the To-Go ordering aspect. I use their app so that I have a screen shot of my order. I have yet to get a correct order when I arrive to pick up. Our orders are pretty simple with only one special request, put the wing sauce on the side. It even prints that instruction on the receipt however, every time the wings are swimming in sauce. Also, most every time they leave off our drinks. Last night we ordered and when we arrived they said they never had an order for us. Went out to the car to get my phone to show them the order number and lo' and behold our order was ready at the counter! If the Mgr. wants to make this a better place, then get on top of your employees and make sure they are paying attention to the details on the order tickets, the waitresses are checking the orders before they go out the door! read more
