Called this shop searching for a specific part and was told they one left. Drove almost one hour to get there and found the small shop. The shop had a good selection and noticed the prices were very reasonable compared to prices at similar shops in the so called civilized Puget-tropolis area. Found the staff very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. Even watched staff explain, to an obvious novice, how to operated his new purchase. Found out my purchase was a part made locally and very well priced. So, I supported two local businesses in one transaction. I will drive the extra hour to get to this shop again. read more

I like this building and this business because it is an Elma Washington what I call home and family. And I definitely believe guns do not kill people or anything they are here for our protection to protect what is ours and our families. Only stupid people that have not been taught how to use a firearm properly and taught that it kills people and does not bring them back to life if you're a good shot it's not a video game their guns people they're supposed to be able to kill people you need to teach people that that's what happens when they picked it up and pull the trigger but the gun all by itself cannot pull its own trigger at least not any I've seen yet. I'm all for guns in the hands of people that know how to use them and when and why we use them and I believe this store has a good attitude about that and I believe I'm can't speak for them but these are my beliefs that they believe the same thing that these guns are for our protection of our country and our family. Teach your children and your friends how to use a gun properly how to not use it like a game on a video machine and teach them that once you shoot somebody if you're good aim they're dead they don't come back to life when you hit replay or start over. Guns are here for our protection not to be able to steal from people or kill people because it's cool because you know what that is not cool. Nothing cool about it.....,. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to rattle on but these are my beliefs up with guns down with idiots that don't know what they're doing with them. Went in over the weekend to purchase a couple of guns. Planning on spending a substantial amount of money, I was given the run around and told I could not buy a gun until I got my concealed weapon permit. WA state is open carry so no need to get one if I didn't want one. It was two young guys. They really did not seem to interested in helping me make a purchase but were focusing on other customers,which I found odd. They basically didn't want to sell me a gun so we went to another privately owed gun shop and bought two guns no problem. I asked the guy at the privately owned gun shop why I was given the run around by east county guns and his theory was that since the laws are changing they probably didnt want to fill out extra paperwork. I just cant wrap my head around the fact that they lost a purchase of a substantial amount of money. My daughter in law said they are a franchise that may be the reason,but I still don't get it. The other shop was much more hospitable anyway . I pick up my guns on July 5th :-) read more
