Booked this tour for myself and friends to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't have been more pleased. Planning the tour was easeful with a couple of calls and email exchanges between Alexa, Nicole, and myself. Although we booked the winery, brewery, and lunch option...time got away from us and we seemed to skip the brewery but it was still a full day. The lunch was absolutely incredible! The farm stand was outstanding..we purchased some fruit, honey, and baked goods..the pie!!! The pie was life changing. Thom and Nicole were the perfect guides and the ride was blissful! Although there are no proper bike lanes I never felt unsafe and the drivers were very courteous. Rose Hill Winery was intimate and absolutely breathtaking with fabulous wines. We rented the hybrid bikes and I was a tad nervous (about the speed) but the bikes are very easy to control. I can't wait to do more tours with East End. read more

Looked around to find the best bike tour and was thrilled when I came across East End Bike Tours. My daughter spoke to Nicole and scheduled a date and time. She was extremely pleasant and answered all our questions while giving us highlights of what our day would entail. When we arrived we (family of 5) were greeted by Mike our fun/amazingly knowledgeable Guide and Steve who made sure we were hydrated/photographed... he was always near, driving his support vehicle in case we needed to take a break from biking...btw my son got stung by a bee and he had his first aid kit ready to go!!! Our day started out rainy which they were prepared with ponchos (thankfully not needed) stops at stunning wineries where we had fun with trivia questions as well as fun facts... stopped at a picturesque beach to have an oil tasting paired with a delicious picnic lunch set up that was perfect...continued to an orchard to pick peaches that were amazing! Stopped at a gourmet chocolate shoppe where we purchased instagrammable chocolate. Steve made sure our purchases were kept cool in his car so we didn't have to lug anything around and our chocolates didn't melt because he stored them in a cooler. They thought of everything!!! The premier North Fork tour was perfect for us and we highly recommend it. Ended our tour with ice cold towels that my daughter expressed was a great touch to a long ride. We would like to thank Nicole, Mike and Steve for a memorable day and the pictures that were taken will be printed and put in our album to be remembered forever. Went on a bachelorette bike premier tour (lunch included) this weekend. Our guides Dan & Che were top notch! Dan rode in the back and was truly a pleasure. He was our biggest cheerleader! Full disclosure the tour itself was a lot a lot a lot of biking, we Totaled at 16.9 miles. The first stop was shin winery- you get to chose a flight of four tastings. This winery was beautiful, but the pour was pretty tiny. Next leg of the trip was long, we headed to the beach, after the beach we pedaled to Jason winery- and were given five tickets for tastings, or you can choose to have a full glass of wine or beer. I recommend going with the five tastings since their pours were rather generous. Steve (no glasses) rode in the support car and set up a delicious Mexican buffet style lunch. Food was delicious. As a group we decided to forgo the next stop which was a pastry and produce stand, in order to relax and enjoy Jason's winery for a little longer. As a group we wore matching black T-shirt's and leggings. It was hot, and we definitely should have worn something lighter in color. Steve (the driver) always made sure we had cold water during our trek keeping us hydrated. Upon the finish they had more ice cold water and cold towels to freshen up. Highly recommend using this company and requesting Che and dan as your guides, they truly made the entire experience funny and less painful. read more

I booked this bike tour about two weeks ago to celebrate my 60th birthday with my husband whom I share a birthday with (his 61st). From beginning to end, the process what easy, starting with booking over phone with Alexa less than a week before our tour date. Last Saturday, the day of the tour, Steve, whom I believe is the owner, was directly involved in setting us up with bicycles, and was affable and friendly all day, chatting frequently with us during some of the stops and even provided us with a surprise birthday gift! The tour guide, Mike, was professional and conscientious, and we felt safe with him leading our rather large group. "Chea," (sorry if spelled wrong) who backed up our bike line and took photos throughout the day, was both lovely and professional. She put me at ease with her friendly conversation, especially during the initial stop at Rose Vineyard. The most unexpected surprise for us was meeting and chatting with our co-riders that day, who were couples and individuals from Rhode Island, New Jersey, North Carolina as well as from Long Island. I believe that we all shared in common the need to have a pleasant and easygoing yet active day without a lot of hub-bub, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and delicious food and drink. This trip accomplished all that and more!! I felt great for the week after and am motivated to increase my bike-riding and exercising throughout my 60's. I came here with 4 of my friends for a bachelorette event. The staff is so accommodating and friendly, the scenery was beautiful even though the day was a bit cloudy, we rode on high quality bikes and the Latin American food we had for lunch was pretty good. Perfect day with East End Bike Tours! My fiance and I came on a Saturday in June. We were set up with Walter and Steve who were both very nice and funny! Walter has some good jokes and Steve was super helpful. The bike ride wasn't hard or tiring, we stopped at just the right times at the beach, then two beautiful vineyards and then a farm stand for donuts and pies! :) They know the town very well including all the people running the vineyards and shops. You can tell they are well-known and well liked from everyone. I would definitely recommend this tour and certainly opt in for the lunch, it's yummy!!! :) read more

Excellent biking & wine tasting but a terrible first impression from the staff, with the exception of the gentleman, Christian, who sized up our bikes. This was intended to be a leisurely biking experience. Instead, we received a rude text about not checking our e-mails fast enough, followed by too many e-mails. We have never encountered such startling staff members, of recent memory. Please consider demonstrating compassion to future, prospective bikers. read more

This was a great bike tour! The bikes were very comfortable and helmets were provided. The ride was easy and no one wore those brightly colored nylon outfits. There were some places where the cycling was on the edge of a faster road but there was plenty of room for a comfortable ride. The stops were at some nice wineries and farm stands and the lunch we had was delicious (purchased as an add on). I recommend taking their tour on a nice Spring day like we did. read more

The tours provided by this company are very well put together. The bikes and equipment are in excellent shape. The new Mexican themed lunch that they provide as part of the package is absolutely delicious! My only wish is that they would incorporate a lot more narrative regarding the history of the general area they guide you through. read more

Two girlfriends and I found a LivingSocial deal months ago and thought it was a great activity for us to plan out in the summer. Easy booking and the staff is very friendly. We actually tried to book 2-3 times before and couldn't go because there was rainy weather! But Nicole was very accommodating, finally went yesterday and had beautiful weather! About 30 of us biked about 13 miles overall. Our first stop was at a beach where we got to taste olive oils and vinaigrettes with pieces of bread that they also sell at their shop. We also chose to have 8-9 wine tastings at two different vineyards and a Greek lunch buffet for an extra price. The first vineyard we got to choose four wine tastings from their menu at the bar and where we had lunch. At the second vineyard, it was a sit-down wine tasting as the wines were being poured into our cups. The buffet was good and we even got a chance to dig in for seconds. What I really liked about the tour was that they provided ice cold water bottles, had one of the staff take tons of pictures with a nice camera (the photos were uploaded on their website last night and are free to download), and provided cold towels after we were done with the tour. I also liked that their website was very detailed so you know what to expect. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get away locally for a day with some friends. And have wine. East End Bike Tours was awesome! I came by this past weekend and had a chance to take the signature bike tour out to 2 vineyards and a market. The staff at East End Bike Tours were all really nice - very relaxed and that helped us have a great time. The entire ride was roughly 13 miles or so and that was from their location up to the a pretty secluded north end beach. We had a good 20 minutes or so there at the beach taking pictures and playing on the swings (although it was hot enough to go into the water we didn't - thinking back now - i should have since it was so hot) The first Winery was Jason's Vineyard. Most everyone in our group got the lunch which was an extra $20, featuring catered lunch of Grilled chicken and rice and lots of other Mediterranean foods including pita, hummus, baba ganoush, etc. We also get the first set of tastings. I personally enjoyed the first one which was a white blend that was very sweet and could be used as a dessert wine. The other wines were ok as well but YMMV in regards to this since I'm not wine snob. Then after about an hour or so enjoying the scenery and wandering the vineyard grounds, we hopped on the bikes again and biked to the next destination - which was another vineyard that is owned by the Entenmann's family (who does the cakes and stuff) - the ride into that was picturesque and gorgeous, biking through the back road into the winery - we saw a couple taking wedding photos and had a beautiful albeit bumpy ride to the main building where we had our tasting, the opportunity to walk around the grounds again which was much larger that had a lot of families hanging around enjoying live music, wine and games, along with a petting zoo! The wines we tasted here were imho better along with a tasting of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. There was also a raffle to help promote the winery by having either another bike tour, a free bottle of wine or olive oil and the grand prize, a private tasting for 6 back at the winery. Finished up there and we took another short ride down the road to what seemed like a market, that had some of the best sweet corn I've ever had in my life, apple cider doughnuts and other food. The market also had some fresh produce locally picked that you could also buy. There was a seating area since most of the time we were walking around or biking - so that was also nice. Finally we went back to the pick up location where we dropped our bikes off said our goodbyes and had the opportunity to buy some olive oil that we had a chance to taste as well. The whole trip - from start to finish was about noon when we left and finished at around 5:30. It was a great time! The guides were awesome! I think they should have been able to drink with us but that's just my opinion. I'll probably recommend this to people who want to get away for a day in Long Island. read more

My husband and I highly recommend East End Bike Tours. Steve, Kevin, Mike and Kris were awesome. They were very friendly and very accommodating. The tour itself was scenic and fun and the lunch that was provided was good too. The only change I would recommend is that there be more stops along the way rather than ride for miles at a time. My husband and I are very active but some of the riding was too much at once. Overall, it was a great time and a different way to see Long Island wineries. read more

I did this w/my friend in August 2016 and gave it 5 stars and said it was a must. I just did their wine/beer/farmstand bike tour again and it was a complete waste of a day. You know when something isn't right and something odd is going on w/this company now. The people are extremely nice so it pains me to write this but the entire trip from mailing them a check (they don't take credit cards) to being hung up on by the owner in mid sentence the day after, I advise you to just do the tour on your own. You can rent a bicycle and go where you want as the wineries and farm stands are pretty close. Everyone on this tour was annoyed, not just me. Two hundred dollars (including tip) thrown out the window, plus being treated unpleasantly by the owner - just do this on your own. The lack of professionalism in comparison to the 2016 trip was really shocking; honestly - I think something is going on w/them. To start with - mailing them a check took about 15 emails back and forth - so that was a huge pain. Then I was emailed twice and told the day before - the trip was leaving at 10:20 NOT 10am and that we HAD TO BE THERE PROMPTLY, and that I HAD TO PHONE THEM IMMEDIATELY to check this. So I call and tell them that's fine and I'm bringing my own bike and helmet. They said, "YOU MUST GET THERE PROMPTLY AT 10:20!!!!!!" So we were ALL there promptly at 10:20 except two people. This company kept telling me it wasn't their fault that these peoples train was late - but who cares! This is not our problem! Then they told me I had to be there early to set up the bikes and helmet which is why we had to be there (an hour before we left?)- but I had emailed them twice and also told them on the phone that I had my own equipment - point being I RACED to be there at 10:20. The two men in charge made us wait AN ENTIRE HOUR for these people to come and set up - by this time everyone was annoyed and rightly so. The tour leader kept asking us to smile and be happy so you can imagine how well THAT went over. The two guides told the owner everyone had a good time - but that is NOT what THEY told ME. The woman who made us wait was extremely obnoxious and entitled and had a puss face on her the whole time so eventually one of the tour guides, I'm guessing, just gave up. Because we were an hour late and had appointments at all these places WE WERE RUSHED THROUGH THE WHOLE TOUR. We should have left on time - and they had a vehicle - they should have dealt w/those people on their own time NOT OUR MONEY and TIME. So....We all tried to make the best of it - and the next morning I called the company - this managed to ruin my entire day again - as this lady had absolutely NO INTEREST in hearing what happened or even suggest anything at all to make it up, or even apologize! - whatever.... you know, you don't want money, you just want to have this made up to you somehow. You would think they would know how to deal w/situations like this at this point. The owner actually hung up on me in mid sentence. I was only telling her what happened which can be confirmed by the other 7 people, I was not raising my voice - I was explaining what we were put through. Honestly, I didn't want to write this because I had such an incredible time 3 years ago. I'm telling you, something is wrong and they are not happy. Do yourself a favor. Go online - there are a number of "DIY bike maps" for touring the area. I'm extremely sorry this happened as I loved this company and the people the first time (I think the owner was on that one) but this time - I wasted my vacation money and my time and it left with a sour taste in my mouth. All they did was come back at me w/excuses - that's not what a company that wants repeat customers or referrals should be doing. I only called them to avoid having to give them a negative review - give them a chance. Instead, they were rude and didn't even apologize. I found out later the owner was giving a tour when she finally answered my 9th phone call - why didn't she just say "I'm really sorry that happened - I'll call you back this evening when my tour is over and we'll figure something out, again, I'm really sorry about that." How hard would that have been for her. It's just toooooo weird for me. I would stay away and not chance this. read more

This bike tour was absolutely superb from the quaint vineyards and farm stands to the absolutely delightful food. After living in the city and frequenting the Southfork of Long Island I doubted the Northfork. However, after this bike tour I plan on spending a lot more time exploring its natural beauty. The bike tour itself was paced for every type of cyclist. The employees leading the tour were unbelievably professional and attentive. They helped me get fitted for my bike and helmet all the while taking pictures throughout the day. Nicole and the other tour guides were awesome! it was so well organized and they even got us lunch from a Greek restaurant that was amazing. This tour is very overpriced for the experience. My husband and I bought two tickets from Living Social. The tour is normally $198 per person. We paid about $200 for both. Even at half price, it is still way too expensive. The tour begins with a long, hilly ride along a busy highway, with no bike lane. We arrived at a beach to taste olive oil. Now, this is kind of nice, but we came for a wine tour. We paid for a wine tour. Spending over an hour on olive oil, was not my preference. From the beach we biked to Jason's Vineyard. This is one of the regular stops for this tour. The wine was terrible! TERRIBLE. We tried 8 wines. Maybe one was ok. The rest smelled like metal and tasted like old tobacco. So bad. Here, we were offered lunch for an additional $20 per person. For a tour that costs $198, why is lunch not included? The lunch was good, but certainly not worth the price. From here we again traveled on a highway with no bike lane to the next vineyard. This vineyard was much better, but we were charged an additional $10 to taste here. We were told that this was a replacement vineyard and that was the reason for the additional charge. Again, this tour is usually $198 person. Why the nickle and diming? Our final stop was to a farmer's market. It was cute. But again, this is a wine tour. We are surrounded by no less than two to three dozen vineyards. Why am I picking pumpkins instead of trying to see as many vineyards as possible? In five hours and for a cost of $200 per person (don't forget to add the $20 lunch and $10 for the other tasting), we visited two vineyards. One was terrible, so I barely count it. My husband and I did the math and figure we could have done this tour ourselves for about $50 each. Maybe less. Even paying $100 each on Living Social was too much. This is a great concept. To really make it enjoyable, I would suggest, lowering the price, including lunch, picking better vineyards, finding safer bike paths, and removing some of the extraneous activities. And, keep the groups smaller. Our group was over 30 people. It was difficult to organize everyone. read more

Would not recommend East End Bike Tours. We booked a bike tour thinking it would be a fun and easy way to see a few vineyards. While we did visit two great vineyards (and did an "oil and vinegar tasting" on the beach), the bike ride itself was a disaster. The three guides tried their best, but with a group of 40ish bikers it was impossible to do a sufficient job. The roads (and highway!) we rode down had no bike lanes and we were repetitively yelled at by passing motorists. This made for an unpleasant and unsafe bike ride. The guides were unorganized and at one point the group had split in two due to a gap in the riders. The first part of the group had gotten so far ahead the riders in the second group came to a T intersection and had to guess which way to go as there were no guides to lead the back of the group. (Luckily we guessed correctly.) I would highly suggest against this tour. read more

This bike tour was by far the best part of my Hamptons+North Fork Weekend. I actually can't say enough good things about it. It was just my friend and I, but w all of the other ppl who booked when we did (peak of the season, July), our group was HUGE, but the tour guides went out of their way to make each of us feel special, and made sure to take photos of everyone. I DO recommend booking your tour on a Sunday if you can, because the Saturday groups are so big. But we were not able to do Sunday. The places we saw were awesome and fun and unique and gorgeous. I even met a farm cat at Jason's Vineyard, and he was so affectionate. The bike tour is totally doable and easy and pleasant, if you're a person who has any strength whatsoever; it's absolutely not just for athletes. In fact, I think it would be a great family activity, (if your kids are over 10). The most gorgeous of the vineyards was Shinn, the organic one. The catered lunch from Lucia's was incredibly delicious, so fresh and flavorful. And the stop at the bakery, Hallock's was awesome, I bought three pies, and they were all the best ever. The bikes were in decent shape, they get a lot of use so they're somewhat wobbly-feeling. This was a memorable tour, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. read more

My boyfriend and I went on the A la Carte tour this afternoon. I bought the living social deal. It was so worth it. We left promptly at 12 and arrived at 4:40. I paid for the wine tastings and the lunch. The lunch was awesome and the wine tastings were okay. The vineyards were pretty packed since it's the last weekend of new nice fall weather. The East End crew was professional, kind and witty. We even entered a small raffle (it's actually a pretty good deal) and won a bottle of olive oil (there's an olive oil tasting). Driving home from this tour and I had to write this review. From the very beginning, this tour was a hit. Staff, Walter and Julie, were impeccably great!, they were well organized, on time, and extremely helpful. The tour starts with a bike ride toward the beach, the faster you and your group moves, the longer you can stay at the beach. Both staff members ensured everyone kept up and was as safe as possible. After the beach, the group headed to the wineries (the wineries you go to depends on the season). At our first stop we had a delicious lunch catered by a Greek Restaurant - everything was superb! After lunch, we headed to another winery and then a farm (which sold food and alcohol). If Walter tells you to get something, get it. He aims to make you happy whether it be a joke or just making sure you are enjoying your bike ride. I'd go on this tour again in a heartbeat; the staff, the destinations, the atmosphere of all smiles and good times cannot be beat! read more
