Beautiful views and solid food options. We enjoyed fish and chips with flavorful beer batter and three big pieces of flaky juicy cod with decent French fries. Clam chowder has chunks of real clam and potatoes. Restaurant quality fried calamari with seasoned breading. Quesadilla was a big size and the chicken was juicy. Drinks can be purchased separately inside the shop from the fridge. Parking lot was full so we parked across the street on the road. They advised us to place a sign on our dash stating we were at Ralph's so the public safety wouldn't issue any tickets. read more

For some time I've seen this place come up everytime I search for waterfront dining...and never checked it out because I thought was a bait and tackle shop. Thankfully, someone finally put up some photos of FOOD and we went! Reminder: I always judge based on the type of place. I'm not comparing this to a fine dining restaurant. This is a great little casual place to watch the water, drink a craft beer and eat some darn decent chow! First off: GPS took us to the private members only club next door. We had to hunt to find it. Once we did, could there be better views on a sunny spring day??? They have a nice covered tent in case the sun is too much for you. You order at the window and they give you a buzzer for when your food is ready. You go next store to the bait shop for beverages...and yes, there are drawers of live bait next to the fridge, but sealed and no smell at all. Here's what we ordered: Pear & Gorgonzola Salad with Champagne dressing: WOW! SOOOOOO good! Real pears (unlike the fancy-schmancy expensive place we went a few months back that had the audacity to serve canned pears!). Nice fresh greens, yummy dressing (NOT ken's or anything of that nature, thankfully), nice fresh crunchy walnuts, cranberries and a generous helping of yummy gorgonzola. WIN! Shrimp Tacos: Three nicely appointed with fresh slaw. The tacos are flour and should have been warmed. If they were, this would have been perfect. Still, not bad for $!5! Fried Clam Strips & Fries: Because, you just have to, and stop judging us. It was worth the calories for the perfectly fried platter without a lick of grease to it. I could have stood for a little more salt on the fries. Clam strips did not seem to be pieces of whole clams...maybe minced mixed into a batter? Not my favorite way, but the batter was tasty and it did the trick. Overall, this place is a find. If you want a quiet hidden hang with good food and a spectacular view, this is the place. read more

Just a beautiful little spot to have a meal. Right on the Long Island sound inlet to Mt Sinai harbor. Menu isn't much, but enough to please you for lunch or apps, beach bar kind of dinner. They have beer wine and seltzers for sale in the bait shop. It's a walk up snack stand type place, but the view is breathtaking. Music on weekends. Prices are very good for the water view. Staff is super nice. It's no frills, but you're on the water so that's enough! Went for lunch today with 3 generations and there was something to please everyone, including a vegetarian. Food was served hot, little bit of wait but it was fine. Portions are decently sized. read more

I have been boating on Long Island for 30 years. In that time I have never felt the way I do about a Marina. Ralph's is more than just a place to store my favorite possession. It is a family that truly cares about its patrons. I recently purchased a new, larger boat. In the past, i would not have worried too much about if the marina had space because there are multiple to choose from. This time around, I spoke with Maureen and Ralph because I did not want to lose my home in the marina. They graciously worked with us so that we could make this purchase with no fear of leaving a marina we call home with people we view as family. Beyond that, the restaurant is friendly with wonderful food, the entertainment is available on the weekends and there is always someone available to give advice or a helping hand! A great little marina and boat service station, they have a great fuel dock which has lots of dock space, friendly staff, and a great little deli for breakfast by the harbor. We also have our boat stored and serviced through Ralph's. You can't beat the friendly service wether pulling up for fuel or sitting down for a meal. read more

This place is a big step up from the trash that is served at (and a retreat from the trash that goes to) Cedar beaches' main snack bar. *It's basic and has good vibes. * staff is friendly at the food stand and at the fishing station *could need some loving still when it comes to the food ** my burger bun broke apart with my first bite, and the beef while seemingly quite possibly a home made patty was a bit over cooked /// wondering if I had been asked how I wanted it cooked and if I had asked for it to be medium rare if it would have come out better? Fish taco was super good. Fried shrimp even better. No fatty batter just a good rub and with a bit of a kick. But most importantly their breakfast is well worth the wait and having that view of mount Sinai harbor might make it my favorite spot for eggs in the morning. read more

Even if you don't need their marina services, Ralph's is a terrific spot to grab a beer and a bite, and enjoy live music outdoors. For a little snack bar sort of kitchen, the menu is surprisingly varied. Reasonable prices, great waterfront location, family-run business and friendly service. read more

There should be someone at The entrance of Ralph tackle station so the public don't park in ramps parking lot if they do they should get Toda if they don't have a row parking sticker we pay a lot of money to go there specially for the sticker there's no point in having a sticker if you can use it they can park across the street they should park across the street the public but They should not be able to use private parking for boating we pay a lot of money to park so we can get to the boat you don't make your customize you should not fill it out with people who do not know what I'm to park in this spot there for your customers read more

If you want to have a break from the frantic pace in port, go up the road to Ralph's. You will be treated to an unbelievable view of the top of the bay. The food is fresh and delicious and everyone is extremely friendly. Oh and I believe your dog is welcome too. The bait is phenomenal there! Both fresh and frozen. I've caught 14 keeper bass with their squid in my slip! You have to visit the roost! The food is out of this world. Definitely try the burger, it is huge I could barely finish it. My fiancé and I skip ordering out elsewhere because it is so convenient and absolutely delicious. Camaraderie all around is second to none, staff is very accommodating and friendly. They have worked on my boat, they haul me every year and I buy all my bait through them.. always A+. It is one of the best one stop shops you can never come across. read more

This is my favorite place on the water. Throughout the summer and even into the beginning of fall this is where you can find me. You can get beer, wine, soda, chips and candy inside; or you can grab something to eat at the little food window outside. They have live music all summer. The owners are amazing. I do not have enough words to try to warn people from having boats fixed there. Maybe the restaurant and the location has appeal to some, but when it comes to honesty in their mechanical abilities they fail miserably. Now they have changed their name from Ralph Marina to Ralphs finshing station thus erasing the bad reviews they had in that area. When they "fixed" my boat and charged me $4000 I felt that at least then I would have a functioning engine. Wrong! When I went to take the boat out it did not start. They sent a mechanic and was working for about 20 mins on the engine. After the boat started and I was on my way. A few days later I was hit with another bill for $3.500 for the last "repair". I took another mechanic there, (which they do not allow) he showed me that even the spark plugs had not been changed. PS They took me to court and I had to settled for $ 2300 to get rid of them. A total discrace to the honest marinas in the area. Avoid them like the plague is my advise. read more

If you haven't been down to Ralphs Fishing Station you are really missing out. Not only does it have the BEST view of Mount Sinai Harbor, but you get to enjoy cold beer and good food. The Big R Burger which is my personal favorite is stacked between two grilled cheese sandwiches, hands down worth every calorie. They sell cold beer, snacks, tackle, and a variety of RFS branded shirts and sweat shirts.. OH and how could I forget the live music on the deck. One of my favorite places! read more

Well for starters you dont have to have a boat to come here... Although the staff is so friendly and accommodating if I had I boat, this is where I would come!! Ive been here on several occasions with friends just for the great music on the weekends, fantastic snack bar, great views of the harbor, and just a whole lot of fun. We've met some nice people here.. It is a great place... Come here once, and I guarantee you'll be back again! read more
