What a lovely establishment! The restaurant is very charming and cozy inside with less than 10 tables but there's a nice outdoor area with more tables. I like how there are a lot of natural elements in the decor. Staff were welcoming and helpful. You order at the register, grab the number they give you, then a staff brings out the food to your table. I ordered the Bufalina, which is a vegetarian sandwich with tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil pesto, and baby arugula. The rustic bread tasted very fresh with a tender, chewy interior and a golden crusted exterior. The sandwich was delicious! I would certainly order It again. I also ordered a pasta dish, the Tartufo, which is cheese tortellini in creamy truffle sauce. It was very cheesy and fairly good but I would definitely choose the sandwich over the pasta. We recently visited Cotto e Crudo Enoteca for dinner and overall the atmosphere and weather outside made for a nice evening, but unfortunately we had a pretty concerning experience with our food order. I'm Muslim and do not eat pork, so when I ordered my dish I specifically asked the waitress to remove the pork and add grilled chicken instead. About 10 minutes later, another staff member came to our table and informed us they had run out of grilled chicken. I told them no problem, just cancel the order. A minute or two later, they came back and said they had just received a shipment of grilled chicken and could still make the dish if I didn't mind waiting another 10 minutes. Since we weren't in a rush and the weather was nice, I agreed to wait. During that conversation, I again clearly mentioned that I don't eat pork. So there were multiple levels of communication about this. When the food finally arrived, I took a few bites and quickly realized the meat didn't seem right. Unfortunately, it turned out to be pork. As someone who is Muslim, that's a pretty big issue for me, especially after clearly communicating it more than once. To be fair, the manager who came over was polite and respectful, and I don't think there was any bad intention. But mistakes like this should not happen, especially with dietary or religious restrictions that were communicated multiple times. I'm sharing this review simply so others with dietary or religious restrictions can be extra careful when dining here. read more

I have been wanting to try this spot since I saw someone do a video on IG showing this spot. Wow, it is delicious! Reminds me of a sandwich shops I visited in Florence and Greve Italy. We are about to go back to Italy in a week for a wedding , so it was a great warm up for it. My only suggestion is to ask them to toast the bread a little more, would have loved a little extra crisp. My wife and I split the Maialino and the Pollo Milanese Panuozzos. She was a fan of the Maialino and I personally loved the Pollo. From everything that came off the line, it all looked delicious. Cotto Crudo is such a quaint little Italian eatery and wine bar tucked away in the River Oaks area. They've only been open about a year I believe, but this was my first visit and it definitely won't be my last. Especially with spring around the corner. I walked over so I didn't have to deal with parking but there's free garage parking and a few outdoor parking spots. They have a lovely outdoor patio along with indoor seating. My friend had already grabbed us a spot outside, so when I arrived I went in to place my order. I kept it simple with a chocolate pastry and a hot green tea, which was the perfect combo and usual go to if you know me. The staff was kind and welcoming, and I even got a chance to meet the chef. The kitchen has a bit of an open concept, so you can see them preparing everything. You can also tell the food is made with love and care by how it's put together and served. However, was pleasantly surprised at how big these sandwiches were, worth about 1.5-2 meals for $20; still pricey but good value. I'm really hoping I try this place again and am able to give this 4 stars but a few things are keeping me from doing it now. A cute italian cafe tucked away. It can be a little confusing, we wanted to Aranici and when we didn't see it on the menu we thought it was outdated (Tip: It's not it's showed in the bakery case not near the register). So you order at the register and they give you a number for you to display when you sit. Wish they cleaned tables more often (or maybe we had bad timing) because multiple were dirty in the outside 'yard' area so we settled on a table by the windows. We got the Tachchino sandwich which you could tell used amazing ingredients, I just wanted the balsamic to shine a little more, or another element. However their meatballs were amazing! Great sauce and the texture of the meatballs were spot on. We both got a glass of wine and ended our visit with a Carajillo which they do a fantastic job of. I made a quick lunch stop to Cotto E Crudo after a dentist appointment in the same complex. I placed my order while at the office and walked right over. My order was ready when it said it would be. We shared the Prosciutto & Rucola, bolognese, and the Crudo sandwich. With a pinot grigio bottle. For dessert a tiramisu. The Prosciutto & Rucola was amazing and by far my favorite. The bolognese's cook was great but needed something more, and the sandwich was my least favorite. Great bread and ingredients but it was more bread than fillings. Next time I'll try the Milanese. The tiramisu was delicious but I wouldn't consider that a tiramisu. It was a very delicious freshly made whipped topping dessert. I'd be back to try some other menu options. Oh and my friend loved the lavender latte! Everyone was very nice and attentive except the main guy at the register taking the orders. Knowing it was our first time a little help or kindness goes a long way. He was difficult for no reason. The quality of everything here is very uncommon, all ingredients imported from Italy, only using olive oil no seed oils, everything seems to be homemade. You can taste the way the ingredients all come together to create the perfect bite with almost anything you get here. And the standard of quality and the taste of everything you can get here is like no where else I've seen in Houston. The sandwiches I feel like are the winner and far exceed any other sandwich you can get in this area, your basically teleported into Italy as soon as you take a bite. The coffee is exactly how it was in Italy when I was there, has depth of flavor, a nutty flavor that is deep and not bitter like 90% of espresso you get anywhere else, which a lot of it is from the beans they use which are imported from Italy. The design of the restaurant is impeccable and perfectly radiates the cute Italian restaurant hidden away in plain site. Obviously with a place this good it does get pretty busy so at times I feel like the service can get chaotic and the staff may get confused and mess stuff up but that's just a part of it and something they are working on improving I'm sure, but every time I've gone there the sandwich is 10/10 read more

Here is very good and it made me remember of my last trip in May when I was in Rome. Perhaps I was extra hungry that day and should have gone for the pizza. We also had two of their speciality limited menu item iced coffees and hot chocolate. I had a cappuccino and a sfogliatelle/ lobster tail pastry while waiting for my cousin. Took a while to get my order but these two were very good. We then proceeded to order the crudo and maialino panuozzi, creamy pesto pasta. The sandwich definitely brought back memories and the bread was both chewy and crispy, not too thick. If the weather is nice, I suggest sitting out on the relatively large patio, which is cute. Our group ordered a vodka pasta and margherita pizza, along with some drinks. Okay. This place was disappointing. Walking in, the place is quite small and loud to not be a large space. If you enter through the main entrance the register to order or pickup is not easily identifiable. She then turns around and says something to the angry man in which he responds angrily. The whole experience was fascinating. Whatever sandwhich they were making they pause as they have their exchange. The girl then turns around and rings up my takeout order and then attempts to walk away from the register in which I stop her to ask how long it would be considering I had already been at the restaurant longer than I'd anticipated for a togo order and I wasn't going to wait much longer. She allegedes 1 min and I pay and take a seat. Eventually in longer than a minute I recieve my sandwich. I ordered the Bandilino, which in the pictures looks and sounds like a tasty sandwich but alas I found it to be quite disappointing. One it was lukewarm, now I was under the impression it would be hot. And honestly it tasted like it was made with hate. They use yellow tomatoes, it was slathered with the pesto sauce and what they called buffalo mozzarella. I don't need to eat that again it was not good and the presentation along with my whole brief experience with this establishment was underwhelming and failed to meet my expectations. Parking is tight as it is housed in a location with several businesses sharing the same lot. I also had a macchiato, which was just as wonderful and comforting. This food is soul food and I cannot wait to go back. They make their pasta fresh, and I appreciate that so much.
