On a whim decided to stop at Hamptons Carpet One and it was one of the best decisions I made regarding the ADU! Eugenia greeted us and gave us an honest, up front assessment of our needs and what would work. We never felt pressured. We walked away so much informed and decided to go with engineered flooring instead of the LVT. We let our builder know about our visit. He was just as excited about the product we found. The next thing we know, we're ordering 36 boxes of engineered wood flooring that looks BEAUTIFUL. Excellent quality at an affordable price with great service. These peope know their stuff, and even when I called, and spoke to other staff, it was like talking to family. So helpful. I can't recommend them enough! I'm grateful we have a resource like them on the East End. They serve all sorts of clientele. Again, are very knowledgeable and although we didn't need them to install, they offered a great package if they did. You have to stop in at least once in your journey for the right flooring. I am a woman alone with children. I simply did not want my car damaged. I'm not sure what this guys problem was but I know I'd never want him in my house doing an installation. I was shaken. My husband on speakerphone could hear the man screaming at me. People were staring. This employee clearly has a massive anger issue. I called the business and the woman said "I'm sorry that happened, that's the world now." No, that's your employee and their behavior was completely unacceptable.

After 8 weeks without receiving payment I reached out on June 7th. I was told the check had been mailed June 6. When the check arrived on June 12 it was postmarked June 9th-they clearly lied to me. From marking down the price by more than half without consent to holding onto my funds for nearly 3 months and then lying about mailing the check, their actions were extremely unprofessional. Prices weren't exactly a bargain but they really deserve to make money based on how beautiful they make the store and how they pull together a great selection of items you don't see anywhere else. It was super busy the few times we were there but staff was super helpful and they took my ornaments behind the register, packed them up and whisked me to register to quickly check me out when I was finished. I've been back a few times since and salespeople are always extremely helpful and nice, giving great advice on how to style something or suggesting items that I may have overlooked.
