My husband and I…read morehave purchased multiple appliances for rental properties, a mattress and box spring, and also a kitchen suite for remodeling our son's recently purchased Co-op. Evan has been amazing in going out of his way to find us exactly what we need to fit our measurements at a price that we are happy to pay. Most recently I drove my 85 year old mother in from Old Westbury to replace a 42" built-in refrigerator. She was very specific in what she was looking for. I knew Evan would have the patience ad determination to find her exactly what she wanted. He was overly patient in going over the features and details and in answering her questions - sometimes repeatedly. He kept us informed of the manufacturing timeline and saw to it that the refrigerator was delivered ASAP, and on a day and time that worked well for her. I would also like to mention that the delivery team was amazing. They removed the old unit and installed the new unit to her satisfaction. They protected her hard wood floors and removed all the packaging debris. Needless to say, she was very happy with Evan and PC Richards. I highly recommend Evan and the Riverhead PC Richards store, they stand behind their merchandise, and are a pleasure to deal with.

A nice young salesman approached me & I told him I needed to replace my microwave but I want one with a full rack in it, similar to what I currently have. He went & asked someone if there were any like that, & he returned to me with a no. I browsed & we chatted about my 14 yr old microwave that I love. I told him that I'll keep looking. Then I asked why don't they make them with the rack anymore? His response, "Because they're starting fires". I never show my element of surprise because ppl will always talk bs when you opt to listen. I couldn't believe he would spread such misinformation, which could lead to destroying a brand's reputation. I left the store, & decided to shop online. Disgusted by his comment. Some people just have to have an answer. That was not a smart answer, nor was it the truth. He needs to be retrained.

And they were all so helpful! I had two separate large orders of blocks and wood, plus a wheelbarrow. The wheelbarrow wouldn't fit in my car, nor would anything else. I placed one order at customer service with a terrific lady who had a lot of service pins and brown hair, but whose name I can't remember, sadly, because I was crazed, and one today at the Pro desk with Dave. Both were very knowledgeable and helped me place my orders with efficiency. The garden center is in full bloom, with a great selection of plants. Prices do seem high, alas, but I haven't checked out local nurseries yet. I bought some flowers, planted nearly all, and easily returned three that had gotten brown and floppy. Will go back later for vegetables. I don't have any complaints. Not entirely happy about some of the prices, but for landscaping blocks, they still have good deals.

The store itself is well organized, it's easy to find anything you're looking for. Last time I was here I was looking for a bag of charcoal that you can light along with the coals for ease of use, and they had plenty of options. I also purchased a lavender plant from here which is doing well. Service at this location is very helpful. Any time I've had a question about a product people working here have been happy to help, and I find them to be consistently knowledgeable. I've never had an issue with an item being out of stock here which is something I've experienced at other Home Depots. Solid overall.

Unfortunately, it looks like they're having a going out of business sale. So many empty shelves. Needed 3 memory cards. They only had 2. Everything: returns, purchases, in store pick up is handled via one line at the customer service desk. Seems like a lot of wasted space. Can't imagine what they're paying in rent for such a large store with minimal inventory Corporate America at its worse. Looks like they're setting up the store for failure then close and blame the community for lack of support. Who suffers? The loyal employee. Sad. It was always a dependable store with ample choice of merchandise.

What made the situation even more frustrating was that there seemed to be no way to speak directly with anyone at the store where I made the purchase. I spent a day and a half trying to reach an actual person. When I finally got through, I was connected to a representative in South Africa. After explaining the entire situation, I was transferred right back to the automated system. I was told that I could not be connected to the store because the employees were busy helping customers. Apparently, once Best Buy has your money, you are no longer considered a customer. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Save yourself the frustration and shop somewhere that actually values and supports its customers after the sale.
