First time here. Heard good things so we planned to meet up with my oldest and his wife. Was not disappointed. I had two eggs, scrambled with sausage links, home fries and English muffin. My girlfriend had French toast. I don't remember what the kids had, but they were happy. Our drinks came in cans, which was cool, but not sure if you get free refills. We were on our way for a weekend in the Finger Lakes and wanted to stop for lunch somewhere - this diner was the perfect spot! The home fried potatoes in particular were so so so good. We both got the breakfast platter and left happily full! They are cash/check only but have an ATM inside. Staff was extremely friendly, and the food was very affordable. Highly recommend! read more

My wife and I are on a weekend getaway to sample the wineries and atmosphere in the Finger Lakes. We were looking for a quick breakfast today. The yahoo reviews were good and we were encouraged by the full parking lot. We sat at the back of the restaurant and were greeted by a funky smell. Bathroom doors were left open and I'm pretty sure the smell was sewage. The service was absolutely terrible. We both ordered similar meals. About ten minutes later, a server (not ours) brought one meal over and asked if it looked like what we ordered. It was not. The food finally came out and it was acceptable though they mixed up our orders and we had to shuffle the meats from one plate to the other. At no point after our meal was served did our server come back to check on us. My wife flagged her down and she brought our check. We asked if we could get more coffee. While she said yes, the answer was, in fact, no. She waited on several other tables and never returned with coffee. We left as fast as we could and went to a local gas station for a cup of coffee. read more

We were on vacation at Seneca Lake and discovered this great little diner. Typical diner food, but well prepared and with minimal grease and salt (so, maybe not so typical). Great local eggs and bacon, fresh breads, and generous portions. Not a bad place to eat breakfast! It's a kitchy train themed diner that is full of locals. We came two mornings in a row and the server already had our drink order down and made us feel very welcome. The food is very cheap yet tasty! The eggs were cooked perfectly, the homefries were well seasoned, and the bacon crisp and salty. Today I tried a pancake too and it was fluffy yet crispy on the ends. Just the way I like it! Stopped in here looking for an inexpensive and good breakfast. Sure doesn't look like much from the outside but the food inside was hot and delicious. I had French toast and sausage and I couldn't of been better. My friends also had breakfast sandwich and eggs and said everything was great. Very interesting history lesson about trains. Lots of trains and train photos to look at while you're waiting for your breakfast. Would definitely go again. read more

My family of four were camping at Watkins glen and decided to grab breakfast on our way home. We drove by this little diner and decided to stop. It's everything a small town diner should be. Family run, small, and not over the top. The food was very good! The kids had donuts that I'm sure were made in house. The waitress was very friendly and you got the feeling that she knew most of the patrons by name as they came and went. It was the perfect cap off to our time in the area. read more

My family and I came to the diner to get a quick breakfast bite and were very happy. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the eggs were great. My wife got a breakfast sandwich with hash browns and enjoyed it. My daughter got a kid's size omelette which was almost as large as my son's regular omelette. Great eats, good price and nice people. While on vacation we stopped in here for breakfast. My fiance and I both enjoy diner breakfast as it seems a hard meal to really mess up. Unfortunately the breakfast we had here didn't meet expectations. I had an omelette with bacon and cheese which unfortunately came very light on the bacon. My fiance had home fries as a side which came coated in some type of floury seasoning that became a gummy paste. On top of that the service was prompt but somewhat cold and unfriendly. The main positive that this place has going for it is dirt cheap prices. read more
