I can't remember his name but the server was great! So friendly and on top of our needs. My boyfriend got the lasagna and loved it. On the other hand, I got the chicken Alfredo which was good but nothing special to be honest. The Italian wedding soup is always my favourite! And the Caesar salad was a big hit too. read more

This may be a chain, but the food is pretty good & the servings are big, so they're good value. Budda bites were decent, with a light dough. They could be smaller, giving a better ratio of flavour to dough. Mozzarella sticks were decent. They were gooey & crispy. The arrabiata sauce just had a slight sting - it wasn't spicy. Chicken Parmiagana was pretty tasty. It was still rather crispy though it was covered in sauce & I had it for take out. The side penne was OK though it was a bit dry. It also came with soup & garlic bread. Italian wedding soup was good. It was rich though with only one meatball. The garlic homeloaf was buttered lightly only on the outside so it was light on garlic flavour. You don't need an in-your-face garlic flavour to still be decent as this was. read more

Oh this place is awesome! I got the bacon carbonara pasta, & the sausage penne! The Italian wedding soup was to die for! Incredible service, awesome atmosphere. I truly enjoy East Side Mario's, however I am very dissatisfied and disappointed about the food at this location. I had a large order however the food was not great, there was hardly any sauce on my pasta, barely any veggies on the side of my appetizers, food was tasteless and they forgot to include some things which I had to call about. There is always something that happens when I order from this location. Always check and inspect your order before leaving as this has caused frustration and dissatisfaction about ordering or even considering East Side Mario's again. read more

The service here was excellent when we went one week ago. Our waitress, Jamie, was very attentive, friendly, and visited our table several times to make sure that we had everything we needed and were enjoying our meals. I had a blueberry mint Italian soda which was very refreshing and the Hells kitchen entrée which has huge proportions and was delicious and fresh. I had to pack some in a doggies box, because there was enough for two meals or more. My friend ordered several of the appetizers and they were all very fresh and tasty as well. We were seated on the patio which is the only thing that's open right now, but the weather was perfect and we were able to get a table in the shade which was ideal. We saw staff continuously cleaning all surfaces to ensure that we were safe. Even the washrooms were very clean and spotless. Our desserts were equally tasty and everything it was just so pleasant. I haven't gone to East side Mario's in over a decade, because of experiences that didn't meet my standards. This recent visit, has definitely made me want to go back again. My friend and I just came from East Side Mario's Gwillimbury and were just amazed at the friendliness of all the staff (Tony the GM who took our reservations was so nice on the phone and in person and Jamie our waitress went above and beyond). The cleanliness in the restaurant, patio (where we sat on such a lovely day) and the washroom. The food is absolutely delicious. I ordered 4 different starters and since there was so much I took home a doggy bag. I also took home 4 different desserts and looking forward indulging. I was shocked at the level of service this place had. First of all, all four sets of cutlery that we had were filthy and sticky. And I'm not talking about a few water stains from the dishwasher, no this looked like dried food that was smeared on it by attempting to licks it off... when we asked to see the manager about it we were told she was busy and will come when she has time. In the meantime we got soup with yet another dirty spoon that had dried chunks of something on it. The waitress that we had was so rude, through the whole evening would just talk in a super disrespectful way and roll here eyes every time we would talk. The waiting time for the meals were longer than I've seen anywhere and when we finally got our dishes one of the entrees was not what we ordered but apparently what the waitress understood, so at the mention of this she said it was what we ordered, rolled her eyes and left. All you can eat salad, garlic bread and soup seems to be a myth there. Because when we finished the salad I asked for another one (and for bread) multiple times and ever actually got it. And again the main reason we wanted more salad and bread was because the entrees took over and hour to come out. Anyways, not a positive experience at all. Will never come back here. read more

I am usually a fan of East Side Mario's but there is something strange about how this location service is being managed. The food is great here from my three visits here. However service side the staff is very inattentive. It gets noticed. Things we required had to be requested numerous times each time we go. The service staff seem to be more focused on entertaining each other than to the customers. Which is a shame because the food is good and not everyone has the patience we do. read more

I'm glad there is an East Side Mario's close to home. They are now able to serve alcohol. Servers are very positive and show they enjoy serving their customers which makes for a friendly atmosphere. Food and taste quality is consistent with other East Sides. Arguably, better than other locations. So far, so good with this location. Very pleased. read more

Worst dining experience of my life. Went for my birthday witg my father. First, it took 10 min to get seated, let me just state that the restaurant WAS NOT AT ALL BUSY!! Finally seated, drink orders taken, food orders taken 20 min later when drinks were delivered. No waitress in site after drinks delivered and food order taken. Food arrives 47 min after ordering ( I timed it) there was 3 other tables in the restaurant, waitresses standing around chatting instead of concentrating on customers. Had to flag a waitress down who was chatting with a coworker behind the bar, comes over annoyed. Will never go back there and do not recommend. read more

We just sat down to eat after a 5 hour drive home and waited over 20 mins at our table and not even our drink orders were taken. I went for dinner here tonight with my mom and brother. We were served by the pregnant bar manager who gave us the worst customer service experience we have ever had in the restaurant industry. She was visibly miserable and did not have any personable skills towards any customers. She even stated "Your food is ready, should I bring it out now?" I was confused as to why she would even ask us this. We ordered our meals for a reason. Ofocurse we want our food.. By the way, Moms food was cold and plated messily when she brought it. First off I should start by saying that I have been to a few locations of East Side Mario's and I have to say that Younge and Green lane location is by far the worst. The service is ridiculous, not welcoming and the one time we did have a good friendly server, they were under staffed and the wait time was extremely long, which was understandable. However this last visit takes the cake, very rude and I feel more like we're a burden, I get that she was pregnant, but and eye roll for asking for bread which we did not revive before hand, is just plan uncalled for. OMG.....just terrible. ordered our salads/bread...and the server wanted us to order our mains at the same time. The salad came all drenched in dressing. It was so wilted and the server confirmed it was bagged salad. The tomato soup was gross. Chunky and tasted chemically. We were then brought our dinner about 2 minutes after the salads etc...we werent ready to have our mains as we were still having the breads and such....they apologized for bringing everything at once and said they would bring us fresh mains a bit later. When we got our mains...it was obvious they put our food under the heat lamps because we werent ready to eat. My meatballs were burnt on the outside and cold on the inside. My husband had the sausage penne and it was like they sliced the sausage paper thin and the penne was so overcooked. Our drink order was messed up as well. It was a total disaster. The staff was so disorganized and when we told our server about our experience, she didnt seem to really care. If you have CAA or a Scene card, make sure to tell them when you pay your bill. We werent asked so our bill had to be re done 3 times!! What a total disappointment. We noticed the table beside us left almost a full meal as they obviously didnt enjoy it!! This is our second time to this location since they opened 4 weeks ago. The service is getting better but everyone seams inexperienced. The food is hot, fresh and served quick. Still no liquor license which looks odd because they have a big bar with no one at it. They created a new look to the interior... more of a pizza shop than an Italian restaurant. The average plate price seams higher than before although no more than any of its competitors... still a good bargain night out. read more

When we first arrived at Eastside Mario's we were greeted and told to wait, even though most of the tables were empty. I tried to order a alcoholic slushy beverage they said they couldn't because there ice Machine was down, so we ordered sangria instead. When the sangria came it tasted off but I didn't say anything I just thought maybe it was me. We placed our order which was a four cheese spinach dip appetizer and two chicken Parmesan with spaghetti. We were told they were out of spaghetti so we ordered it with penne. We got our salad with no plates to put it on. I had to remind the server for our bread. When our meal came it was bowtie pasta We were not told they ran out of penne until we were served the bowtie pasta. We got Asked if we would like any Parmesan cheese we said yes, then asked where appetizer was. Without putting any parmesan cheese or any comment our server just walked away. When our server returned we were told that the kitchen must have forgot to make the appetizer. I then ordered an iced tea just to be told they were out of ice tea and was given Pepsi instead which was warm. Once we got our appetizers and finished eating it, our meals were cold. Today I ate at east side Mario's in new market and I could not be further disappointed. app-on arrival we received the information that ALL draught beer was not available. Our family of four sat down and proceeded to order a pasta, Veal, A buffalo pizza, as well as a another pizza as with a name I do not know how to spell. when our food was delivered The buffalo chicken pizza had no buffalo sauce the other pizza was replaced with a calzon and the pasta which was supposed to have no chicken due to my mothers chicken intolerance was delivered with chicken. only the veal was as intended the meals got sent back and replace but the pizza was no available so instead was still replaced with the calzon. the manger came to speak with us as to explain the incident away doing a poor job. when the meal was finally done almost our entire family was feeling nearly immediately sick to the stomach and had experience diarrhoea app on arriving to a bathroom. as compensation a we had the price of our food slighty reduced and giving free desert and giving a long rant of how this was not their best and hope for our return.
