I decided to order pizza from this place versus the franchises in the area. I had the carnivoro pizza and I must say I was underwhelmed. -1 Star the crust was doughy. I prefer a crisp crust but this reminded me of the old McCain's pizza out of the oven -1 Star the toppings. The pizza had pepperoni and sausage. Well there was pepperoni but the sausage was pretty much MIA with only a few half slices on the pizza. -1 Star. The overall taste was ho-hum hence my statement of being underwhelmed. Yes, this restaurant is attached to a gas station On The Go convenience store! When you're driving east along Island Road, you should see a sign for the Ultramar gas station. Turn into this drive way and you can't miss the restaurant. There is a bit of parking out front but not a lot. If you're just grabbing take out like me, that's a non issue. I had ordered 2 entrees on the phone and was quoted a time of 30 minutes. Right now indoor dining is closed off. It looked like they were doing some renovations in the place when I went in. I told the lady at the bar register that I was there to pickup under my name. She wiped down the credit card machine with a sanitizing spray before handing it to me. While I was dealing with payment she packed up my order and I was good to go. The food was in reusable hard plastic containers. They were actually a really big size so I was able to add that to my reusable container collection (I've accumulated a lot from so much take out!). I had the Manicotti Della Domenica. It doesn't say on the menu but you can get extra cheese topped on it for $3 which I said yes to. You have a choice between a tomato or rose sauce. I went with the latter. There were "only" 3 manicotti. I said only in quotes because it doesn't look like a lot but they are insanely filling. The outside shell was kind of thick and glutinous. The rest of it was maximum cheesy which I love and luckily it was balanced with the lighter ricotta cheese or I might not have been able to handle it. The cheesy rose sauce so good that I cleaned my plate. The other entree was the Grilled Rosemary Porkchop. I heard comments about how the pork chop was not dry, the vegetables were sweet and fresh, and that the rice was fluffy and flavoured well. The total for 2 meals was $47.35. There was a comment that it was a little bit pricey for what it was. I think that was the only criticism I had from the day. read more

I have finally had it. The place has so much potential from the pretty good food to the exceptional ambiance. Tonight was the final straw. After multiple nights out waiting for our food or a drink tonight finally did me in. They have one waitress for the entire place and I am pretty sure, she cooks too. The service was abysmal. It wasn't just me but people behind me had 2 dinners served among the 4 and 15 minutes later the next two came to them. WTF. Hire more staff. I know they won't though because I really believe the servers love the extra tip money. One less person to share the bag of money at night's end. Seriously. Go if you want to wait and wait and wait. Just so disrespectful I can't believe it. This is it for me and my family though. I would rather go to a place that cared about service. Walked in with a last minute reservation for an impromptu family dinner on a weekday and I was pleasantly surprised by the general quality of the restaurant. The service could have been better as we had to grab plates and cutlery from neighboring tables for our bread and salad ourselves. Later when our mains arrived, one of the waitstaff simply left the peppermill at our table for us to serve ourselves which is not horrible but not the standard service I've come to expect at a restaurant that charges $17+ for pasta and pizza entrees. The food was generally ok. We ordered 2 daily special pasta; fettucine pescatore in rose sauce which received good reviews from the patriarchs. My mom enjoyed her linguini fruitti di mare in tomato sauce but my mother in law's lasagna was not very good at all with the top of the lasagna being dried out. When I asked the server for some extra tomato sauce, they added an extra $1.50 for the sauce which was a bit cheesy. Our shared house salad was good, my husband's pizza was just ok, my daughter enjoyed her spaghetti in tomato sauce (part of their kids meal). My grilled calamari was good which came with a side of additional salad tossed in sweet balsamic vinaigrette. With 2 pints of Peroni, the bill came to $135 for 6 adults and a toddler which is very decent. I would come back to try out PTG's other offerings since it's really a very good neighborhood eatery for us. I particularly like the fact that they take reservations and you don't need to line up for 45+ min for a table like you do at Fratellis (what a joke!). read more

Pasta Tutti Giorni is a lovely restaurant nestled in a great neighbourhood. It is clean, has good service, and nice music playing in the background. This would be a great place for a date night as well, but I would suggest making reservations. I've had the gnocchi, chicken with vegetables, salmon salad, and the chocolate lava cake which are all to die for. The lasagna was heavy but still good. Parking is a bit of an issue here as it is shared with a gas station, so I would suggest going at a time where it won't be as busy or you may have to park farther down on the road. This is an excellent restaurant! We have been there 3 times since we discovered it. The service is excellent. There is a comfortable outdoor patio and a pleasant atmosphere inside. All the meals are made from scratch so it can be slow, but well worth the wait. I have enjoyed the Parmigana and the Scaloppini Alla Marsala. My husband enjoyed the Seafood and rice curry. Every dish was well presented. Pizza is on the menu but we haven't had it yet. I am sure it must be good since there were many pick-ups of pizza. We plan to return often. read more

I should have heated up two michelina frozen fettuccine dinners ($18x2), a family Caesar salad ($17), or in this case the core of romaine lettuce, and two I don't even know how to describe it, crumbles of what is supposed to be cake. My friends and I came here for a reunion dinner and it was great. We came in and had a reservation so we were seated right away. It actually wasn't too busy so I don't think we would have had an issue with seating. We got to our table and the menu choices looked good and they also had some specials going on. The waitress was attentive but seemed like she was rushing around a bit. She got our drink orders and got the kids menus for my friends' kids out pretty quickly. I ended up getting the primavera with farfelle ($13.50) and added grilled chicken for $4.50. They got our drinks out in a good amount of time. We were supposed to get the complimentary bread but I think the waitress forgot because she brought the bread out literally 5 minutes prior to our pasta coming out. The bread was alright but I wish that she brought it out when we got our drinks because we were starving! My pasta was very good, so piping hot it almost burned my mouth because I couldn't wait to eat lol. My friends got the Alfredo pasta and were not disappointed. I was craving Fettuccine Alfredo the other day, so I scoured Yelp and discovered this great little gem nearby! The food was definitely a hard 4 stars - I ordered the Fettuccine Angelina and the sauce was incredibly thick and creamy. My friend ordered the Pollo Mozza pizza, and it was pretty good - she really enjoyed it, but it just seemed like basic pizza to me. The food was well worth the price, however, as she had to take about half of it home. The restaurant has a great cozy atmosphere, great for a date night or special night with friends, and wasn't too busy as it seems to be relatively unknown. Service....was a little strange. Took off a star for that. There was one girl at the bar who seemed to be serving everyone and also just keeping an eye on the bar. She was incredibly attentive when we first sat down, checking up on us every 5 to 10 minutes until we ordered, bringing us a bread basket and then checking in with us after our meals arrived. However, once we were done eating and looking to pay the bill, she was nowhere to be found. She came by our room (the restaurant has 3 portioned off sections, and we were by the room at the front) to clean off another table, and yet, didn't even spare us a glance. It was very strange, and she only came over when we finally stood up and started to get our coats on to leave, asking if she could get us anything else. With a raised eyebrow, we asked for the bill, paid and left. tl;dr: Service was a little strange, but the food is definitely worth the money. Oh boy...this place is really hurting for some help in the kitchen it seems because the restaurant was not full to capacity and we waited at least an hour after ordering two pasta dishes and a veal parm. We also ordered bruschetta and even that took about 20-25 minutes to get to our table. Really? It got so bad I'm pretty sure I saw other tables walking out and my group talked (semi-seriously) about having a pizza delivered while we waited. I actually felt bad for our waitress because she was running around to tables apologizing every time she got to one because no one was getting their food in a timely manner. She said it was because they had a lot of take out orders but I didn't see anyone picking any up. She also said our food was up next but then I saw other people being served ahead of us, including a table who was seated after us. Don't play with my heart like that, lady. In any case, I wasn't thrilled about tipping after waiting so long but the waitress was generally nice and offered a glass of free wine and beer to our table. Unfortunately free booze can't get my time back so at this point I was hoping some amazing food would be the saving grace of this place, too bad for me though because it wasn't. When our food finally did arrive it was...fine. The bruschetta tomatoes were nice and fresh; the bread was some kind of soft sesame bun (maybe a sausage bun?) which I thought was a little weird but whatever. I had the seafood linguine with white wine sauce and it was about average. The sauce was okay and there was a decent amount of seafood but it was oddly dry, even when I mixed the noodles. I have to say the prawns were quite lovely though, very tender. It included bay scallops, muscles and calamari (cooked a little unevenly but not bad) as well. The slopiness/rushed job was almost hidden but not quite. TLDR: Overall, food not worth the wait and the price was average; there are much better places for Italian food all over the city. Had high hopes for this place but wouldn't go back unfortunately unless it was for take out because I guess that's more important to their chefs? read more

Really good food but the service is terrible. This is like the 5th time we place an order and half is missing when delivered. It's so annoying that I must forgo ordering from them anymore. Also our order's are pretty large so they make good money so you would assume they would want to keep us as customers especially during this time. But alas it would seem not. In reccomending the establishment, my colleague started off with "so its in the gas station.." I was sceptical. But it wasn't too bad. Looked pretty authentic when I walked in, with a number of italian families having their dinner. I had the seafood farfalle, which was great. We tried some appetizers and my friends food looked pretty decent too. The portions were big. Service was pleasant, except for the headache inducing split billing fiasco at the end..they did explain the server was under training etc etc. I actually may consider coming back. read more

Everything was obviously homemade and couldn't be more delicious! My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, which comes with your choice of soup or salad. He went with a Cesar salad and it looked very fresh. I ordered the Pasta Genovese, which has a rich basil pesto, cream, and parmesan sauce. You can order gluten-free penne for an extra dollar but the waitress was good to mention that they use flour in the meatballs. I had a quarter of my boyfriend's sandwich so I can tell you that the sauces from both our dishes were absolutely divine. They have totally perfected their recipes for maximum tastiness! The chicken parm on a bun obviously had a tomato sauce but it wasn't your typical plain, acidic spaghetti sauce. It had a sweetness with the addition of green and red bell peppers and possibly some cream. I could rave all day about the sauce on my pasta and the two huge meatballs that I added on for a little extra. The bill was under $50 even though we ordered an espresso and cappuccino instead of just water like we usually do to keep the price down. I wish I asked our server her name to give her a little shout out because her service was top-notch and really personalized, even though they were busy and we came in without a reservation. My suggestion to anyone is plan ahead and get a reservation to avoid disappointment. We lucked out because it was just the two of us so we were able to get a table behind the bar. I went for the first time to this restaurant, and was impressed. The booth was very comfortable, and the ambience was lovely. I started with a Caesar salad ($6.95), but was disappointed to see that it was small. I thought it should have been larger considering the price. I then had a chicken dish with linguini, veggies and portobello mushrooms, which was delicious but somewhat salty. The portions were generous, though. I am somewhat new to this area and was passing by and saw this quaint little place and was like wow it looks nice they have a patio (even though its winter) lets check it out.. i went middle of the day during a snow storm and IM SO GLAD I DID !! . First the place is so cute and romatic and warm and on a cold day it gave the perfect vibe and I can see how in the summer it would be amazing on the patio too. Its my first time the minute we walked in we were greeted by an amazingly friendly lady that was just perfect in her customer service, she was never overwhelming always checked if everything was ok she was prompt to seat us and get us our food. The menu is amazing REAL italian I ordered the chicken marsala one of my favourites and it did not dissapoint i have a few dietary restrictions so she gave me all vegetables instead of rice the flavour was fantastic. We had an early Mother Day dinner at Pasta Tuttu Giorni, as we had booked it for a large party last December. It was wonderful how we were taken care of then so we thought we would give it another try. This time we had a really nice gentleman server taking care of us on his first day! As someone who use to open restaurants I know how scary it can be on their first day. He did his best and as many don't understand, serving is a huge multi-tasking job. Unfortunately, I would assume was the manager with long brown hair, was running around, barking orders to everyone, and her idea of training was talking over our server, and speaking at a volume that across the restaurant could hear. We would ask a question to someone else, and once again she would jump in to give us the same answer her team member just gave us. Her comments were also quite rude and unprofessional that were not intended for customers ears. I sense that she was not having a good day but it was felt and was not an enjoyable environment that evening. Food....it was excellent! Well done kitchen in spite of your manager. And our server, we hope you push through, you will rock it soon. But if the manager or person in charge can breath, take a step back on how she communicates, that would be advised. It ran through the feeling of the restaurant and created a tense environment. read more

The food here is very good and the service is great, too. It's not a fancy place. It's in a gas station parking lot, and used to be a donut shop years ago. The inside has been redone of course, and it's nicer than you might expect. Not formal, there are TVs on the walls, more of a great neighborhood restaurant. read more
