This business location is relatively new (maybe a few months old), but we came here recently as we…read morewere seeking a new optometrist. It's always a good sign when you call and can get a hold of a live person over the phone. That was the first draw in. When our appointment came up, we were greeted by friendly staff. The store is bright and inviting, but smaller than the last eyeglass supply store (a larger chain) we'd gone to. The selection of eyeglasses are limited to pricier designer frames, but upon inquiring, I was told that they have affordable (read: frames covered by insurance) available upon request, it just hasn't been put up on display yet. Plus, it was nice to see there were some refreshments and a clean bathroom available while we waited. Most importantly, this store was CLEAN-- there ample hand-sani at the ready, plus signs they clean their display frames between customers. Once the initial paperwork was done, the rest of our service was expedient. We were taken to a room for pre-testing, and then soon after met with the doctor. He answered all our questions, and never pressured us into buying lenses/frames. While this is a smaller store, the doctor has another office in NJ where he can check his inventory should there be something specific you want. Hope this location does well, it's good to have options other than large chain optical stores.

Laurie and Dr. K made my experience awesome. Dr. K's examinations are always very thorough and you…read morecan tell he truly cares about his patients. Laurie is one of the lovely people in the front. I'm very indecisive, and she gave me her honest opinion on my selections, and even selected a few for me to try on. She's very personable, helpful, and kind. I will always go back!

we have been going there for many, many years without any issues. The last time we went we felt…read morelike they were trying to charge us for every little thing. Usually it costs nothing as we go through our insurance, but the last time we were charged $40 each for a "new" test that was done. The right thing to do is to tell you beforehand that there is an additional charge and make it our choice, but they did not so we had to pay. Then they tried to get my husband back again in 3 months for a retest on that machine and another $40 because they saw a hint of cholesterol and they wanted to follow it. My husband gets his cholesterol checked at his PCP (which by the way is fine) so he doesn't need the ophthalmologist to check it too! Also their selection of glasses that comes free with our insurance isn't the greatest so my husband just got readers, which were supposed to be free. By the time he left they were $100! He said they put all these unnecessary extras on them which I did cancel when we got home. These were the same readers you get in the dollar store but they were charging $100! I'm not sure if it's the new management but the store has definitely changed and we will NOT be going back. This was actually a blessing in disguise as we found a much better place (real eyes optical) where they have a much better "free" selection, they actually helped pick out glasses that they thought would look good on us and there were NO extra fees, and the staff was amazing!

2 hours waiting...my appt was for 3:15pm...the doctor didn't see me until 5:15pm. Was talking to…read moresomeone who was waiting for longer than me and found out that her appt was also at 3:15. Wait...they double book patients? The front office people did say that's how they book appointments! Nevermind having to wait to see the doctor but to have the staff/technicians be rude and speak to you with matter-of-fact attitude, that really takes the cake! Made my next appointment in the other office the doctor goes to and will see how that goes...otherwise, on to the next. Those front office people and technicians need to go for training instead of walking around with a condescending attitude. One of them was very nice and when I told her about the experience, she said, I like to treat my patients the same way I want my mother to be treated and that's how it should be when dealing people who have been waiting for hours.

Appointment made a year ago. Diabetic/annual eye exam. Got a call last week that the doctor I was…read moresupposed to see would not be in on the date of my appointment. Was told first available appointment with my doctor was over 6 weeks away from my original appointment. Offered appointment with optometrist instead of ophthalmologist. Office called me back saying they found an appointment on the day following my original appointment with a different doctor (ophthalmologist) Sign says refraction not paid for by insurance but recommended as an important part of eye exam. After pictures of eye were taken I was told the doctor I was seeing did not do refraction so I couldn't get prescription should I need new glasses. Was again offered the optician to do my exam and was told "he does plenty of diabetic exams and can do the refraction as well". My appointment was with an ophthalmologist. I do not come for an annual eye exam to be told the doctor does not do a refraction when the sign at the check in states that OCLI considers refraction an important part of an eye exam. Why am I wasting my time. I do NOT recommend OCLI
