Very clean. The food is fresh. I like dining in, they serve me with plates and everything. The food are cheap and affordable. I do not understand why people are complaining about the "hole in the wall" and such, is a new plaza. Nothing to write home about. I should have known better to be honest, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take - amirite? So yeah - I mean, if you're REALLY in the mood for take out, then be my guest, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt multiple times. "Maybe it's an off day..." or "they're relatively new in the area..." NOPE. I can't justify why they can't get it right. Sometimes I just want my roast pork to not taste like leather. This place left much to be desired. It's average Chinese food, so food is 3 star. Ordering over the phone is more difficult then it needs to be and really that's because of the person they have at the counter. I asked for small and I was given large. Also when I got there she has 0 customer service skills. I recommend getting a different person to take and fill orders then I'll change to three stars. read more

After being in Michigan for the summer, and returning a couple of weeks ago, I tried East Wok yesterday; I had a teriffic craving for Chinese. OMG! I am so glad I did! The Hot & Sour Soup was spot-on. My entree of Roast Pork with Chinese Vegetable was the bomb, including the Pork Fried Rice. Love this place, and will for sure return! Thank you, East Wok! read more

We tried the East Wok, first time, ordered online. 10 min later, I arrived & food was ready! Very fast friendly service. Positives - Food seems fresh and overall good quality! Very good tender beef and fresh vegetables. Wonton soup also very good. Negatives - Egg rolls are terrible, along with egg drop soup that might be the worst I've ever had. Prices seem to go up weekly and now are highest in the area! Young asian girl who answers the phone is rude most of the time. Overall - Most of the food is good and the place looks clean but with constant price increases this place is becoming hard to find value. Lunch special has went up four times in the past year. Place was not on time then took 45 mins more because they gave my pickup order away.then blamed it on chicken when clerk just told me it was given away accidentally. So 15 mins turned into 45 as people behind me kept coming and going. And when it was ready finally they offered two free cans of side. Horrible. read more

This has become our go-to local Chinese take-out. Let me first say that I'm an X-New Yorker, (read: food snob) and going out for Chinese food meant hopping on the bridge and being in Chinatown in 20 minutes. I am giving this place 4 stars, not because I am comparing it to Wo Hop, or any other place on Mott Street. I am comparing it to other Chinese take-outs within 20 minutes of home. First, every Chinese take-out down here advertises "New York Style." No. Just no. Not a single one of them. Sooooo..... East Wok. The little girl who answers the phone and takes your money isn't really unfriendly, as some say. I think she's just concentrating really hard. Their general demeanor isn't super friendly, but they're not nasty, and I've come to take food, not them, home. The food is good. It's fresh, it's well seasoned. The rice is good. (seriously, that varies from one place to the next). I've never experienced overcooked, undercooked, recooked or old food from this place, as some reviewers have said. The menu is uninspired, but it's no different than the menu from every other local place. I think it's the best around. read more

The grand opening week we tried them. It seemed pretty good. We had pork fried rice, beef udon noodles, egg roll and won ton soup. Then we tried them a week later and had the pad thai, spare ribs and egg roll. The 3rd time we tried the mai fun and had spare ribs again. The spare ribs have been okay every time. The mai fun was average...needs more flavor. As of the end of April the food has taken a big downturn since the grand opening. When we had the pork fried the first time it had a nice amount of pork in it. The last time, almost none. The won ton soup the first time was flavorful. Had it again a couple of days ago and it was not very good, in addition they don't make their own won tons. It is too bad because we were excited to have this place so nearby, however I believe we go back to our standby on Hwy. 441. read more

Very pleasantly surprised. I see that some of the older reviews are negative; whatever problems they had, they've seem to overcome. Wonton soup broth is usually merely a weak medium in which to keep the wontons hot; here the broth was flavorful and full-tasting. Egg and shrimp rolls were crispy without being brittle or over-cooked on the outside, were moist on the inside, and had some interesting heat. Honey chicken was wonderful. Will get more adventurous on the next order - I always try the staples on the first visit. I notice they also have Thai, and may give that a try as well. read more

Decided to try it out a few weeks after opening. Gave them time to work out the kinks. Service was awful. New girl behind the counter didn't have a clue what she was doing. Forgot to give me all my order. Had to drive back 15 minutes to pick it up. Was offered a two liter bottle of soda for my trouble my another employee. Now my entire family meal was cold when we finally sat down to eat. Fried rice was nothing more then steamed yellow rice with come mixed vegetables in it. Raw egg whites in the shrimp with lobster sauce. Egg rolls had no flavor. Over all terrible experience. Give them one star for the soup. read more
