The restaurant was packed & very busy! Apparently everyone loves it here. Our experience was good…read more Since it was so busy, some food was not replenished as quickly as we hoped and they ran out of many things. I was not a fan of the cream cheese wontons, as the outside used was too thick. The servers were quick and accommodating to our drink requests & cleaning up our finished plates. Beverages are included which was nice. I love getting hot tea. The restaurant was clean & well taken care of. They even have a waterfall with a pond with real fish in it, my little brother loved this. We would definitely come back.

You pay when you first arrive with cash or card (they only take visa and mastercard). Note that if you pay with a card and add a tip, they will just give you cash from the register for the tip amount to leave at your table when you leave. I would bring cash to tip your server with at your table. After paying, you can seat yourself anywhere and a server will come by and take your beverage order. The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks, drip coffee, and hot tea. Their Dr. Pepper is extra syrupy compared to normal fountain drinks, would recommend! Throughout the meal, the server will clear your empty plates and at the end of the meal they will drop off fortune cookies and towelettes. Crab days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. During these days they serve lil crabs. There is also a build your own noodle station where you can choose your mix-ins and sauces, and they'll fry it up for you. The fried rice is solid and the garlic toast is shockingly really good. Food is pretty fresh and warm, and there are people constantly refilling trays and cleaning the buffet.

This is the second PR I have been to. My first experience at a location in Peoria, IL was equally…read moreexcellent. I'm surprised by the mediocre reviews PR has received. When I arrived, the place was a madhouse. There were several sections that were reserved for groups of school kids (not a bad field trip destination for a Friday!) and there was very little pizza available. To pass the time until the next surge of pizza from the kitchen, I grabbed a plate and loaded it with some salad, corn, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. The fried chicken is really tasty. It had excellent crispiness and juicy flavor. They also offered fried fish on Friday which was pretty tasty too. After I was done with that initial plate, I moved onto the pizza. To my delight, they had brought out several pizzas and all the slices I had were very good-on par with Pizza Hut's pizza, which I think is good fast food pizza. The standout slices were the cheese stuffed crust pepperoni and the cheeseburger pizza. I went back for another slice of each! They also have a soft serve ice cream machine, but pizza is a much better desert anyway!!!! Pizza the Ranch offers a delicious array of buffet items for a little less that $11, which includes a drink. If you are willing to weather the storm of lunch patron craziness, I highly recommend the Ranch over any buffet restaurant in the area. If I had known about the Ranch earlier in the week I would have visited at least 3 times the week I was in Mankato. *Tip 1* They take requests-tell management what type of pizza you want them to make and they will make it. **Tip 2** Check out the indoor half basketball court - the most random form of entertainment I have ever seen at a buffet!

This review is soley for the food. When I hear buffet, I think you pay a certain price and you can…read morego back a few times. I got there a little after noon after visiting Paisley Park. There was no one to greet you, I think this is mostly a take out place on the weekdays. I go into the back where I see a buffet looking area, before that i see that there are two papers on the wall. A price for in-dining, per lb and a price for take out. There is a young man there and I tell him I'm eating in. He takes a plate, and loads it which what I want. It's a shame its by per lb, because there were so many good item so to try, but I could only put so much on the plate. I got greens, yams, black eyed peas, bbq chicken leg and mac n cheese and jerk spaghetti. The food was overall good and I loved the jerk spaghetti and bbq chicken leg the best. I wanted to try some other stuff but I wasn't going to pay another $20 something for it.

*I did not dine at the restaurant*…read more My review is based on my job ordering Mama Sheila's for a BHM luncheon. They ordered bbq chicken, smothered chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans & cornbread. If i'm being honest none of the food looked appetizing in the serving trays so I was already skeptical. I've always kind of heard mixed reviews about MS but it was still on my list to check it out. My job allowed us 1 meat option, 1 side + green beans and cornbread. I got the bbq chicken and it was sitting in a watery bbq sauce (which was explained by a coworker serving it as it's a bbq gravy?) I got the baked mac and cheese, which a soul food restaurant should be able to deliver... it was just salty! The cheese burnt on top was inedible and it overall it wasn't good. The cornbread was really dry. Overall not good.
