When I arrived, the place was a madhouse. There were several sections that were reserved for groups of school kids (not a bad field trip destination for a Friday!) and there was very little pizza available. To pass the time until the next surge of pizza from the kitchen, I grabbed a plate and loaded it with some salad, corn, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. The fried chicken is really tasty. It had excellent crispiness and juicy flavor. They also offered fried fish on Friday which was pretty tasty too. After I was done with that initial plate, I moved onto the pizza. To my delight, they had brought out several pizzas and all the slices I had were very good-on par with Pizza Hut's pizza, which I think is good fast food pizza. The standout slices were the cheese stuffed crust pepperoni and the cheeseburger pizza. I went back for another slice of each! They also have a soft serve ice cream machine, but pizza is a much better desert anyway!!!! Pizza the Ranch offers a delicious array of buffet items for a little less that $11, which includes a drink. If you are willing to weather the storm of lunch patron craziness, I highly recommend the Ranch over any buffet restaurant in the area.
