I had not had any experience prior and wan't sure what to expect but had to check it out for the great deal they were advertising on a car i was interested in for a relative. They knew what it was but told me it was the O2 sensor but did no effort to confirm. It was the catalytic converter. It was a very expensive job to replace. They offered me 300 dollars towards repairs to get the sale. This all after spending 7 hours in the dealership. They couldn't even scan the free sirius xm free trial to my vehicle. It was a sloppy experience all around, from the lack of effort to the repair team to the salesman to signing paperwork. Brutal. They tried to sell me the wrong vehicle to start. I had requested it days in advance. Did they verify it. Nope. 2 hours in. Oh. Not this vehicle. We have to drive it from 2 hours away in a different state. Then, they rushed the inspection. Get the sale. Who cares about the quality of what is being sold. They didn't do any work on it to make sure it was safe for the road. There was literally a bolt falling out of shocks and axles. Did they notice? Nope. Make our sale. We need a new axle. More than half the lights didn't work when we left the dealership. Lights? The easiest thing to fix. Meh. Who cares. Get the sale. Safety? Who cares. They got their sale. Given the opportunity to make it right and pay even a few hundred dollars extra. They refused. Firstly it took two days of me sitting in the office for them to finally get the purchase completed. Told me I only qualified for an electric vehicle( which had not been a fun experience and more of pain than anything) then told me my deposit was only a fifth of what actually in the contract. Then I get a notice from IRS that my rebate is to go back to dealer. Let's not mention the extreme frustration of getting my plates. ANYTHING and everything you are told is a lie. NEVER EVER give them your phone number or email address. They will call you a minimum of 10 times a day, slow day, and sell all of your information so you phone will receive calls and text messages non-stop until you can no longer use your phone until you change your phone number. Even blocking numbers and email addresses does little good. Call and text messages come at ALL hours of the day and night. Yes they have you sign a piece of paper I guess saying they will not sell your info but you have no idea what exactly the 2nd piece of paper states as you are only to sign and can not read it.thank you Mike. They intentionally ignore your calls while you're within your 30 days so they can't assist you. I was sold a car that needs $6,500 worth of repairs. I'm sitting right now having to replace all four tires that they sold the car with because they were all ALL the wrong size. That has caused other expensive problems it would seem. He even brought is manager over to the table to try to get him to see if I could close the deal on that same day etc. Then I decided not to go with Easterns - so I obviously asked for my $500.00 back. They asked me to come in to collect a check, I deposited it. The rep kept asking me to leave a review on him, leave a review on him after I'd collected my check. Then 2 days after the same rep messaged me to tell me that the check is void and they will be re-crediting my account. I didn't want to be a thief, or unscrupulous so I'd responded and let the rep know that I'd already deposited the check. Obviously expecting a response back or at the very least that they would hold off on their transfer Bc I'd already collected and deposited my check. au contraire *Silence* I check my bank account two days after, there is a charge back for the $500.00 check that THEY GAVE ME as well as a $12.00 service charge from the bank. And then an automatic online transfer from Easterns for my $500.00 refund. I reached out to the rep, basically letting him know, hey my bank is penalizing me for a depositing that check that you guys gave to me and asked me to come collect. I got my $500.00 back via the transfer, but I cannot be expected to you at this $12.00 fee based on Easterns disorganization. Again, *Silence* So I then hit the rep up and I'd let him know, hey good customer service isn't only up until the end of our interaction. There are people you can count on for sales referrals - like me. BC as it stands, I have two coworkers currently looking to purchase vehicles. You know who I will NOT be referring them to - Easterns I then got a very lackluster, matter of fact response "I been out of office a couple of days. Call this department to sort your issue. That's above me..." I'm not interested in calling anyone to "fix my issue", you're my main point of contact for the company. The same tenacity exhibited when you dragged your manger to try to coerce me to buy a vehicle, was the same effort I was looking for to get my matter sorted. And it's not even about the dollar amount, bc it's a minuscule $12.00 fee in comparison to purchasing a vehicle for thousands of dollars. A $12.00 fee that they could have hidden thousands of times over in made up fees if I'd actually did go through with an application and purchase my car from Easterns. It's about the principle, something that these ppl obviously know nothing abt. The finance department at this dealership is the very definition of sleaze. My wife, two-year-old daughter and one-month-old newborn were shopping for a new family vehicle at this location when we found our ideal car. We were thrilled! It had everything we needed. We were planning to use our credit union to finance the sale, which I mistakenly told to the staff here. They asked me what rate our credit union offer. I obliged. I told them we were quoted 2.39% Someone named Vinny counter-offered with 2.49%. I wanted to get my family in a new, safer vehicle ASAP, so I said I could live with that. We left to take our children home, feed them dinner and get them ready for bed. As soon as we arrived home, I was feeling good, so I made a kind offer. I told my wife to head back to the dealership and drive home in her new car. She was thrilled and went back to the dealership. And I fed, bathed and put our children in their beds. That's when I call my wife to check on her progress for an exciting report on the purchase of our new vehicle. But I'm horrified when she answers, sounding near tears, and tells me that the finance team has told her they can only find a 4.6% interest rate available even though she has a near perfect credit score. I'm furious. I demand to speak with the staff there. She hands off the phone. I tell them that we were quoted 2.49%. The voice on the other end of the line tells me that's the best they can do. What the hell type of establishment is this place??? They fit the stereotype of the sleazy used car dealership perfectly. I have NO IDEA how this dealership has 4.9 stars on Google. I purchased my vehicle not even a month ago. Right off the bat the car didn't start within my 7 day "return" I should have known that to be my first red flag. Was told it was just a dead battery. Not even two weeks later my transmission went out. I called in and they were more concerned about how miles is gone over rather than being stranded on the side of the road with my two children while being 8 1/2 months pregnant. Luckily it was still under a power train warranty but I have no hope in the car that I purchased. I would recommend buying from a dealer that certified the vehicle and offers a better extended warranty than 1000 miles or 30 days. The worst car buying experience ever! The term "used car salesman" definitely applies to everyone that works at this location. For full disclosure, I have bad credit. So, going to a normal dealership was not going to get me a car. I had previously bought a Ford Mustang from Easterns Automotive Group in Manassas, which I paid off. On 3/23/2020, I brought a friend with me, who comes from a family of car salesmen, to Easterns Auto in Alexandria. I had a car picked out before I went to the dealership that I could afford. They started pushing another more expensive car on me, which my friend said was a "tactic" used by car salesman. My friend yelled at the sales guy that I wanted the car I picked out, not one they were pushing on me to buy. They kept bringing up a car that me and my ex had bought together as being an open car loan, which kept me from getting this new car. I knew it was paid off but didn't have any documentation. So, while I waited 2.5 hours to be declined, I asked the "credit manager" about calling GM Financial to get the information they needed. He told me they couldn't get through. Actually, they never tried because on the car ride back to Woodbridge, I had spoken to GM Financial and had the information that was holding me back from getting the car at Easterns Automotive Group within 10 minutes. So, today, May 12, I received a letter from Capital One saying that I was approved for the car loan back on 3/23/20 at Easterns Automotive Group in Alexandria. This was never told to me. So, now I come to find out that approval is expired. The credit manager was the one who said that he tried to get GM Financial on the phone. I think he didn't want to sell me a car after my friend told them that I was there to purchase the car that I had picked out. It was a car I easily could have paid a car loan for that car, which was priced under $13,000. So their poor customer service, lack of any initiative, and just plain shadiness, they made sure I wasn't going to get a car from them that day. Scam Alert! Scam Alert! Buyer beware! I've been looking for a newer used car with very specific features for a few weeks, but who knew the combination of options I considered "must haves" were such a rare package!? That brings me Easterns.com for some midnight car shopping where I found my dream car with all the options on my shortlist. Fast forward to the next morning, I called ahead to make a reservation and I was the first customer in the showroom. Excited to get behind the wheel and inspect, when I arrived, I confirmed the list price, model, and year to ensure the vehicle hadn't been sold. The sales man proceeded to show me the car on his computer with a list price higher than what was originally listed online, less than 24 hours prior. I was sure there was a mistake because taking time out of my day for a car outside of my budget wasn't on my "to-do-list". Perplexed, I shared with him the exact figure and waited for him to correct his oversight, it never happened. He excused himself and opted to bring over a manager that proceeded to double down on the price increase implying that perhaps I got my figures or cars confused. Irritated, I proceed to grab my computer from my car and showed him the screen that I had been searching the night before, luckily it didn't refresh. Once I showed him the price, he proceeds to waste more of my time by calling "corporate" to see if they were able to honor the price. Well, this process took about 40 mins. During the whole process nobody took ownership of the bait and switch that was taking place right before my eyes. Needless to say, I wanted to car so bad, I proceeded to request the purchase order (with the lower advertised price) because they never told me they weren't able to honor the online price I originally presented. I assumed since we all saw the online price; we could proceed with the sell. This is where things got hairy....While writing up the figures the printer conveniently goes on the fritz. The sells manager, Jack Jaffee, didn't even come back over to tell me. Instead he sends over sells guy #1 to get my email address. He promised to write up the purchase order and send it over within the hour via email. After four hours I placed two phone calls. On my second attempt he decides instead of emailing me, he would rattle off figures over the phone. I was astonished by the huge price increase and he went on to explained the pricing "error" was above him and it "happens with the internet". He goes on to lie and say 3rd party sites sometimes get numbers wrong and I reminded him I got the numbers from his website. He reached into his bag of tricks and proceeded to tell me how the internet is unreliable and the people who manage their website made the error. Someone educating me on how the internet works in 2019!? The lies were endless! By the end of our conversation I simply asked for a corporate email or number. Jack stated there is no corporate office and the buck stops with him. I find that hard to believe and I'll be filing a BBB claim to ensure this stops! Note: I'm not the first Yelper that mentions price discrepancies. This is likely happening to lots of consumers to get them in the door. Be smart and go somewhere reputable. After seeing bad reviews, I was reluctent. Eventually I decided to take a chance. Desmond was incredible. He is the top Sales Consultant at the Alexandria location, and it's easy to see why. I was honest about everything, and Desmond was honest back. The selection of vehicles was good. The vehicles are clean, which I seldom saw at a pre-owned dealership. The showroom was clean and comfortable; I spent hours there. I was treated like a princess through the entire process, which was complicated by my bad credit. Realized the entire front bumper is cracked in half and they had it pushed together where you couldn't notice. Sprayed the interior with a spray to make it seem like new. Overall my experience with Easterns was pleasant. Steven Smith was the salesman and he was very genuine about me finding the car I wanted. He asked what he could do to make the experience better and ensured me that his top priority was to make sure I was happy - whether that meant making a deal or not. He was extremely polite and got any answers we needed. He was there throughout the whole process and ensured we knew what the next steps were throughout the deal. It was great working with him. The only disappointment would be that they're extremely set on their prices. If you're looking to negotiate, go somewhere else. There is nowhere on their website where it says all prices are non-negotiable; I probably would not have gone otherwise. It's basically, "you pay this price or you don't make the deal". I do agree with the other review stating that credit really is the deciding factor for them. According to my bank and credit websites, I have an excellent credit score. However, Easterns only takes a certain portion of your credit score only relating it to auto and not everything in total that makes up your score. As a customer, it seemed like they make your score lower than what it actually is by only taking auto information so they can give you a higher APR and overall expense. All in all, I walked away with a beautiful car that I'm happy with, but had to put down more money than I wanted and ultimately spent more than I wanted in total. If it wasn't for Steven being genuine, gentle, and professional with the sale, I don't know if I would have bought the car, so a big kudos to him. read more

BEWARE- SHADY BUSINESS Vehicle displayed online with no cosmetic damages and certified pre-owned. The salesman stated multiple times that as it is certified pre-owned we can take it to our local GM dealership for any Warantee work needed and it will be covered since it's CPO. I learned last week that is NOT the case. The dealership said it is not in their system as having been certified. I call this establishment twice and get passed around until I'm sent to a voicemail box that is full. I then call corporate and they explain to me that they internally certify pre-owned vehicles and that is only valid for 30 days and has no effect on the original Warrantee. Beware of FALSE statements to make a sale and misrepresenting the truth. They will twist words to deny accountability. Secondly I drove 125 miles for this vehicle to learn it has damage on the passenger side that was not mentioned in the post, nor pictures. I tell them they need to fix it before I buy it (it's a $25,000 vehicle) and the salesman and manager tell me repeatedly that I will have to repair it after buying it. Finally I prove that they did not disclose this information publicly and they fixed it. Since 4 months of owning the vehicle I've learned that it has an AC leak, warped rotors, dead battery, and torn carpet that was covered up. You will have to fight tooth and nail to get genuine service from any aspect of their company. I found a car, from this dealership, on cars.com for $18,950. I went ahead and double checked to see if the car was listed on their official website, which it was for $18,950. I decided to buy the car for the listed price. I, then, received a confirmation "Deal sheet", from Cornell Canty, after giving all of my information, saying the same car (same stock number) was available for $28,490. I, then, contacted Cornell directly to figure out why I'm being charged almost $10K more than the online listing price. Cornell first stated it was a price mistake. I told Cornell, that it was listed on 2 different websites for $18,950. Cornell, then, hung up on me. I called back, and I was told by Cornell that the car was sold. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was connected to Tim. When I asked Tim if he was a manager, he said "okay", and did not say he was the acting manager. I explained the issue to Tim, who stated, "the car was sold an hour ago". I further explained to Tim that I received the deal sheet, 20 minutes prior, stating it was available for $28,490, and that the stories weren't adding up. Tim did not have an answer. I asked Tim to honor their website price, but he continued to say it was sold an hour ago. BEWARE, while talking to this dealership, I was suggested other similar cars. They put false advertisements on both their website, and cars.com to get a person interested in their dealership, to only say the car is unavailable and to offer other more expensive cars. read more
