We went to the Temple Hills facility. They had given our son a completely pre-approved letter for no money down. However, when we got there, all of a sudden they wanted our son to talk to the bank, then they wanted a down payment, then a co-signer. Mind you, our son, who is employed full time, making good money, and been at his job for 3+ years, had a fully pre-approved letter that stated all he had to do was come in and sign the paperwork. I spoke with a manager named Amar after I had an inquiry about a deal they had going on. I asked to do the deal over the phone until I had an approval, I don't have the worst credit but its not the best, I was also supposed to be trading in a vehicle, he told me that they would match the 900 that I was given by another dealer. he told me he understood but I shouldn't have anything to worry about. I came in and Amar was nowhere to be found, then I found out that the info given to me was incorrect and they wouldn't take my trade. he set me up with someone named Jonathan who was late coming in to meet me, he then got quickly sidetracked with other customers, another rep named Eden was just giving me hints to leave if I didn't have a co-signer, I eventually got a co-signer, they ran my credit with Equifax about seven times, then went onto my transunion and ran that three times as well. I then met with someone named Wes, and he started to ask me questions I told him that I was not looking for a car over $15,000, he then asked me why, I said im a student then went on to raise his voice and say that the banks wouldn't approve me on a lower loan and that they were pretty much planning a repo( by trying to get me into a car that I couldn't afford hoping id default on my loan) and that they'd want their money back. so I left, do not go here if you are looking for a car and have a set range under $20,000 they will play in your face and insult you. read more

Tags and Tile play a lot of games. They are tru lazy when it comes to getting tags and title if you don't live in Maryland. There tags and Title department is very unprofessional . They blame everything on their corporate office. Don't hand them over documents because they will says that they have put them in a safe . Looked at a 3yr old Tundra, it had steering wheel vibration and was dirty. Sales mgr J*** said he'd have it washed and sent to mechanic to address the vibration. They did some cleaning on the stains in the back seats and put the shiny stuff on the tire rubbers, but look at this pic. Those are oil and dust build ups that I could wipe away with my finger. They were there when I first visited and the pic is from my second visit. At least 5 other things on the exterior that showed it had not been washed. I think they figured working on those seat stains was enough effort. The wheel vibration obviously the bigger concern. Pretty sure he never sent it to a mechanic. Never offered details about how it was addressed, but when pressed said they had to balance a tire. That's bull, cause when I first drove it I noticed the brand new tires and balancing weights on it. So a balancing had just been done. It needs an alignment. They wouldn't do it. And did they just expect I wouldn't notice on my final test drive? Insulting. Btw, why doesn't a place this big have their own mechanic onsite? They had 3 days to address these things and we already exchanged a contract of sale and I wasted my time and $ getting a cashiers check from my bank. Lastly, for final drive I asked a coworker to come with for 2nd set of eyes. I called ahead and confirmed the truck was available for driving. But when I got there they couldn't find the key for over 15min. Especially frustrating cause I asked my coworker to take time off work to help me. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband and I bought a truck from them a little over a month ago. Truck was not detailed, and was told they would send someone to clean it the next day, it took 2 weeks for them to send someone. Engine light on the truck came on on the 30th day. They made an appointment on the 31st day for us to come in, then told us whatever the issue was they wouldn't cover it because we didn't come in on the 30th day. How convenient for them to schedule an appointment a day later so they didn't have to work on the car. Anyway, took a road trip to Tennessee (8 hour drive) and broke down halfway. They sold us a truck that ended up needing an ENTIRELY new transmission. 7,000 down the drain. What is worse is that the mechanic told us there was absolutely no way that they couldn't have know about the transmission when they sold it to us. They sold us a jeep just to call 3 days later that there was a lien on it and if we wanted to keep the car we had to pay it BUT before they said this they had lied saying the bank didn't approve the loan when it had. They lied two more times with pure excuses demanding us to take the jeep back. It's a fraud!! They tried negotiating and giving us a Jeep 2020 and when we got there they had a 2016 for the "same price" ! The clerk was disrespectful!!!!!!!!!!!! Never ever again, worse service ever ! Well the salesman was fine , the sales team in general gave time ,and attention when it came to the purchase of a vehicle. unfortunately very little to be desired when it comes to The finance manager at Laurel Eastern motors group (Tony). He seem to play with our emotions when it came to the purchase of our vehicle . He handed us the keys to our car , and then sent us up to the finance office to have us sign all the paperwork after having an approval from the bank. After papers where signed we went on our merry way. My understanding as a buyer of a new/used vehicle it is the dealerships job to obtain all paperwork prior to signing your name on the dotted line and getting the keys .Unfortunately this was not the case . In my opinion Tony was more worried about getting the car off the lot then getting all the proper paper work needed, yet didn't mind getting a down payment for a vehicle as well as having us sign legal documents. This being said after all documents were signed, and we went over payment arrangements everything in our mind we where set and good to go . Not even a week later did we start receiving calls from Tony in reference to paperwork that was still needed yet we had the car in hand.He left several voicemails that were threatening to take the car away from us due to the fact he didn't have all the paperwork.Alarms immediately went off in my head thinking again that they were so pressed on getting our names on the dotted line that they didn't do there Job efficiently ,and now they where going to do whatever possible to get the information they needed so there butt is covered . They even called my job of employment and asked for personal information without consent, this was behind my back with no consent form signed. That alone should be unacceptable and unprofessional and truly an invasion of trust. If I could give them a zero stars I definitely would . Even Trying to get my down payment back has even been hard After a week or two of having the vehicle we decided to return it because we where tires of being harassed! Sean Brockington took $500 for a "down payment". The other half of the down payment was to be paid to the sales department. When reviewing the contract, the down payment listed is only $500, instead of the initial $1000. Sean magically needs to leave, and the other $500 goes with him. When he is called, he said that he stated that this $500 is for the banker who helped my partner get a better interest rate And partly for him for having connections to get this "better interest rate". I used to love Easterns, but I am dissatisfied that a con-artist is allowed to scam in this location. On the other hand, Jared Davis, Customer Advisor & Product Specialist, has been extremely helpful and trying to mediate the issue and my frustration. I appreciate his service, however that does not replace the $500 that was stolen. I will be reporting to the better business bureau. Classic Bait & Switch: I was looking for used cars online and came across Easterns in my search. With over 1500 reviews on Google ( so many of them being great), I thought it was a safe bet. I was WRONG. So I found a 2013 Nissan Altima on their site listed for $6000. This seemed too good to be true considering the low mileage but I spoke with a representative online that assured me the car was A) at the Laurel location and B) was indeed for the agreed upon price. He told me to come in before they closed. I again confirmed the key points above and loaded my family in the car to purchase the vehicle. Once I get there, I ask for Jeremiah the manager as I was told to do. I explained I was there for the 2013 Nissan Altima. He didn't have a problem setting me up with Jason a sales rep that seemed very nice, but confused after finding out why I was there. This is where it gets good. Jason goes over and says something hushed to his manager to which he responds "Nissan 6000". By this time I know my time has been wasted. Jason says "Im sorry that car was sold today, but we have another one for $11,000." To which I stood up and walked out. The whole place was filled with customers that just looked tired. They seem to prey on people that have bad credit and need financing. I just wanted to purchase a car for cash and they wasted my life. Don't get Nissan 6000'd like I did! P.S. So a rep responds with the standard "A+ BBB rating" comment. Please be informed and actually look into a business when they do this. If you review their BBB accreditation is pending. They do have an A+, but probably because they are diligent at responding to complaints about their unsavory business practices and working with unsatisfied customers which is what BBB requires to maintain this rating. Also,you can read the complaints and find similar issues i.e. bait and switch advertising. So the moral of the story is, its great to get the word out on Yelp, but go to BBB and write a formal complaint to make sure these tyes of businesses are held accountable. read more

Absolutely awful customer service. They're all smiles and super persistent and communicative to get you to buy a car, but once you drive off the lot they don't care about you anymore. One salesperson, promised they would supply a bottle of paint to fix scratches on the car we bought and also promised that they would perform a detail on the car "when the detail guy got in". Needless to say, they didn't hold up either of these promises. It's also been over a month and when my tags arrived they mailed them to the wrong address and they got stuck in the mail system and I had to drive to a FedEx location to pick them up. Most decent dealerships will just have you come to them to receive your tags and even put them on for you, but it's obvious that this dealership didn't want to have us ask them about all the things they lied about and tried to mail it out instead. If you can avoid buying from this dealer please do so. read more

I bought a 2015 Honda Civic from Eastern's in Laurel. The experience was normal; you know a used car dealer is trying to get you any way they can. I played it off and had some fun haggling with the salesman. Not uncommon to try and get the price down. They found a couple cars that fit my budget and I test drove the Honda that I wound up purchasing. Dozie was the salesman. He was accommodating but I knew he was looking for a sale. The car drove nicely and I decided I wanted it. After a couple hours of going through financing and all of the other nonsense that goes with buying a car, we completed the sale and I was on my way with a nice used car. The most dissatisfying part has come after the sale. I noticed some squealing in the brakes about a week later and took the car back. The manager test drove the car and said he heard nothing (the squealing was pretty prevalent). They said that they would not put new pads on after I argued with them for about a half hour. Okay, I put the pads on myself in an hour at home. The final straw for me was the debacle with my tags. My tags never came in the mail and it took research on my own to find out a past insurance lapse was the reason for the hold on my tags. I'm sorry, I know the insurance thing isn't their fault, but they knew the tags were on hold the minute they ran my license. That's a piss poor way of doing business to me. That could have turned ugly had I not found out myself. I straightened everything out and got the tags and registration at the MVA myself. Then, they had the audacity to tell me they wouldn't reimburse me for the tags. NOT ON MY WATCH. After a half hour of complaining, they finally cut me a check for the tags that they screwed up. Needless to say, I was very unhappy with my experience at this dealer and will not be taking my business back for another car. I'm already paying a lot of money for this car, at least treat me with some respect. This dealer doesn't deserve your business. And don't post your 'A+ Rating' response to this post. The worst of the absolute worst . I came in with my wife with the intention of purchasing a vehicle that day but when we arrived they sent us to the wrong salesperson ((Marvin , but we were supposed to be with Mr. MARTIN KENNEDY ... which is who we wound up with)) who then, wanted us to test drive a bunch of vehicles that we weren't interested in at all . (Ones we had called about that morning had all somehow been purchased already lol within an hour ). Bait & switch . So eventually we get to a vehicle that we would actually consider purchasing so then we ask for the numbers, like how much the monthly payment was to be and what fees were associated with the transaction etc ... but for some reason these questions enraged this psycho (Martin) that they'd hired . And he began to SCREAM at myself and my pregnant wife telling us that we needed " TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW !!!! AND IF I WERE YOU ...I WOULD LEAVE RIGHT NOW !" in this super ominous tone while standing over top us as we were seated . (I would guess he's approx 6' 2" AA male). ... smh Like really ? Verbally threatening a customer and his PREGNANT WIFE Because we asked for the numbers ? He literally wanted us to commit to a down payment and literally pay the down payment before telling us any other information regarding the purchase . The most odd/infuriating experience that I have ever Had truly hope that they have enough class to terminate this terrifying individual (Martin Kennedy) before he harms someone and/or gets them sued to oblivion . If I could give zero stars I would!! Please don't buy from them!! I bought a Honda 2018 civic from Easterns motors in 11/02/21 just 3 months ago.. already completely broken down bought the extended warranty which was for nothing because they denied claim for corrosion/rust.. per Honda mechanics ... there's extensive rust and corrosion of the electric harness (repairs are 2,358 dollars) not to mention missing bolts and oil leaks. Went back and forth with customer service at Easterns and are not paying or even attempt to rectify their fault.. no way according to three mechanics should there be any rust or corrosion the way it is unless the car has been sitting in water or in a FLOOD. Upper management denied request claiming it was past the 30 day 1,00" mile warranty! Very disappointing.. I'm suffering from a crippling disease and now I have no car or money to fix the car ! I'm stuck with a lemon! Surprised that the inspection even passed.. makes me think what ever small shop inspector they use is in their pockets and let's cars pass. I'm glad that my son is safe and grandson too ..car broke down in the middle of 495 stopped suddenly.. police moved car from middle of 495 to safety. read more

I purchased a car on 7/23/22 from the laurel Maryland location. During the test drive I noticed the backup camera did not work properly. I showed this to my sales representative and he ensured me that if I purchased the car this would be fixed immediately. I believed him and purchased the car. Monday morning I reached out to Brandon, an manger at that location, about the camera. He told me that he would submit a request and I had nothing to worry about. Weeks went by and I heard nothing from anyone at easterns. I finally decided to call and spoke with Rozell and he told me I can bring the car in . I took the car there for him to look at and he told me they would need to keep the car for a few days and they could not give me a loaner car. This left me car less and this information was not disclosed to me when I purchased the car. I left the car at easterns and days went by and no one reached out to me. Once again I had to call myself and they told me my car was ready I could pick it up. Brandon then reached out to me 2 days later saying my car was ready. When I asked him did they figure out what was wrong with the camera they told me they did not find anything wrong with the camera I called and expressed my concerns because this location is a hour away from me and I would hate to take that drive if the car is not fixed. He told me the service team said there was nothing wrong with it and there was nothing more he could do. I have multiple screenshots of our conversations in which he made no attempt address any of my concerns This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership. He was very knowledgeable and maintained his professionalism throughout my visit. When I was introduced to Jesus Santos, he was eager to accommodate all of my needs and assured me that my situation would not hinder my purchase. He worked very diligently to make a deal and kept me informed the entire time. Jesus also offered extremely valuable information in regards to how the whole process worked. Both men were very patient with me, answering question, explaining uncertainties, and they did so with much grace and optimism. I wasted a lot of time dealing with this car dealership. It all started with a phone call and text on Friday afternoon from James Jasper who works at the Manassas, VA Easterns car dealership. They set up an appointment with me to meet at the laurel location and promised to have the car moved over to Laurel for me by Saturday 3pm. I arrived 3pm on Saturday and I didn't see the truck in the parking lot so it raised some red flags. I went to speak with the manager Danny and he set me up with a sales Rep John. John was a nice guy he tried to start me off with some paperwork. (busy work/waste time) Whats the point of doing paperwork if I can't see the truck I want first.... After about 15 minutes they told me the car was never delivered to this location and asked if I was interested in another vehicle. Bait and Switch tactic. I wasted 2 hours of my time and gas driving out to the location to see a car that was never delivered there. The worst part about all this is I had texted James to confirm the car was delivered and he told me yes. I don't even know if its this locations fault or not. I came with intention to purchase and had brought a driver with me. Thanks for my very memorable attempt at purchasing a car from the place where job's your credit. He listen to our needs n what our budget was etc. Then guided us to come back the next day though he was off he took the time to have one of the sales rep help us when we arrive n though the rep was also off we happen to meet the most sincere n true sales man of the century Floyd Whitlock. This man has the most patience ever we must have test drive 3 or more vehicles plus my million n one questions an still he was polite, patient,real, an honest as he could be. Though we ended up going over our budget the process was simple n easy. These two men are remarkable and passionate about what they do. Thank you to these men. Easterns Automotive tried to bait and switch me but I am not new to car buying. Luckily I did not waste my time going to the dealership or else all hell would've broken loose. I applied for pre-approval for a 2016 Chevy Trax the price was around 11490. The following day the price went up which I thought was strange but I was only going to pay the price listed previously anyway. On the day that I was going to come test drive the car and make a down payment the concierge tells me the car isn't available and that I can look at the other options they have. Of course the other options are 2-4K more expensive. I told the concierge to scrap the application and never message me again. I am not playing around with this scam of a dealership. Luckily I found the same car at Koons for a lower price and less mileage!!!! Stay away from Easterns. read more
