I have brought my pets to Eastside for the last 15 years. The entire staff treat our pets with kindness and respect. I appreciate that Dr Dan offers reasonable and affordable treatment plans when appropriate. The "walk-in only" policy allows for me to bring my pets any day without an appointment, very useful when we don't have time to wait. I fully trust Dr Dan and his team with my pets. I went there this morning to get help with my puppy that has a tumor on her nose and was told that I am considered a "new" patient because my dog has not been sick. apparently they discard records after 3 years? Just thought I would chime in. The Bramley's have been taking care of my families pets for two generations now. I've never had a problem with their services. In fact, once I took a neighbors pet into an emergency unit to get a fox tail out of her ear. They couldn't do it. So I went to Bramley and the pup didnt have anything but allergies. Dan did not charge much and made sure all was taken care of. NOTE: As of my writing this review, they are not taking on any new customers at this time, unfortunately. As they told me, they are way overwhelmed with clients already, since they are one of the few places that only does walk-ins. read more

I am saddened by some of the lower rated reviews; I, fortunately, have had several good experiences here. Here are some tips I have found that I hope will help ensure you have the same: 1) They offer very LIMITED appointments, I haven't found out exactly how they do that yet. I assume they're for scheduled surgeries and boarding. 2) They offer only walk-ins daily (Mon-Fri) - Yep, you heard me, first come, first serve. And it's limited; 9am to 10:45am and 2pm to 3:45pm. 3) They don't offer emergency services after-hours Overall, I like the hours; I know that if my animals are sick I have a far better chance to get them in the same day versus other clinics that I have to beg, barter, and steal to get them in to same day. Granted, if you work 9-5 Mon - Fri, there's not a lot of help since your're not guaranteed a spot. But, I have saved money bringing my dogs here; as others have commented there's not a lot of up-sale here (None IMHO). If they believe it will help, they'll tell you - but don't feel as they'll guilt you into doing something that adds cost nor will you feel like a total Sadist for not doing something they recommend. In regards to the staff, I've always felt welcome here, the techs and office staff are pleasant. I have only dealt with Dan (the son) for the actual vet and he's always been pleasant, willing to explain my options and willing to take a slow, methodical approach - not balls-to-the-walls let's do everything now. As far as surgical procedures, that's probably the best part. My dog was severally attacked at a local dog park. He required part of his skin to be re-attached to his body surgically, I brought him in at 2:15pm, picked him up at 5pm and paid a modest sum to have what would have cost thousands at a Emergency Clinic. When one thinks about it, the clinic is only closed for 3 hours during the day - between 10:45am to 2 pm, that allows for surgeries in the morning and the afternoon forgoing the needed wait a day or two for an appointment. In regards to other's low reviews; yes you can NOT get an appointment here. There's a lot of different "East Side East Mesa, and East Valley" named clinics that may explain why certain doctors names are used versus the only that work here (both named Bramley) and they are father/son. I hope you give them a chance, please use caution at the intersection nearby (University and Stapley Drives) it's prone to accidents, there's a strip mall behind the clinic to the west, and an old shuttered Circle K in front, both offer ample parking if you miss the small front parking lot. Bring a chair or something to sit on if you plan to arrive early to secure your spot, there's no where to sit outside the clinic. read more

I've been a client for over 20 years Senior and Junior. Called to make an appointment to have our 16 year old Shih Tzu euthanized. they told us no appointment was needed walking hours were nine to 10:30 AM. after driving over 45 minutes to get there I was greeted by the receptionist who look my name up asked if I was a former customer. she realized I was a former customer and told me she would see if the doctor would see me as he only sees eight patients a day. She return to tell me that the doctor had already seen eight patients today and he is no longer seeing patients although it was 10:15 AM. this place has been in business so long it's now taking advantage of its past customers. they don't give a dogs ass about their customers anymore. read more

I've been going to Eastside animal hospital since it opened with my family since the 70s. Always a great service. My dog died 3 1/2 years ago and I just got a new puppy. They told me they're not accepting new patients. Literally been going there since the 70s. Probably 15 dogs through there. But now I'm a new client. Tucked away at the intersection of Stapley Dr and University. They have limited hours that change from time to time, I recommend that you call their main number to listen to their recorded message. They're a full service veterinarian clinic that doesn't offer emergency services after hours. I recommend coming here as I've never been treated as well at other clinics. Really needed my dog to be seen and helped by the vet here. She has been here before and I was confident that she would get taken care of. Arrived at the hospital right at 2 and was turned away because my dog didn't come up in the system. Sometimes a situation is life or death and because of technical issues and the front desk staff/vet not wanting to work any harder than they have too and they won't solve anything or help you. Basically come here if you want to be turned away and get no service and no care for you pet. The worst!! I simply can not believe how little they care, pets are family! Not something to be dismissed because you can't take the time to find them in your computer system. Just horrible. read more

The service and the doc at this vet are worthy of 5 stars. The staff was very nice and the doc explained every thing to us. The cost for the services for our 2 dogs was about $100 less than we normally pay. We will continue to come here. The reason they lose a star is because they don't take appointments. It's a first come first serve place. I showed up Friday after they opened and it was a 45 min wait. So we showed up 30 mins before they opened and waited until they opened. They got us back as soon as they opened. There was someone already waiting and by the time they opened there were 10 people there. The problem with no appointment is you end up waiting with other dogs that are trying to kill you're dogs. Kind of chaotic when that's happening. read more

Found dozens of foxtails embedded in our dogs skin so we brought her into Eastside Animal Hospital for a walk-in appointment. After waiting 3 hours to be seen, Dr. Bramley walks in and tells us "this dog doesn't have any foxtails this is an allergy dog" without even taking 1 minute to ask us anything. I interrupted him to tell him we have already found 20-30 foxtails all over her and Dr. Bramley's reaction was priceless, eyes widened and immediately starts telling us this is an emergency and that we should go to an emergency clinic to have surgery done immediately and that this is very serious. He offered to book us for surgery 2 days later but said we really should go to emergency and that he doesn't think he has the staff for this job. We went to emergency which we paid $120 to be told this isn't an emergency and that our best bet would be to call around to see who could do the surgery as soon as possible instead of paying $700 just for anesthesia from emergency. We paid $60 to Dr. Bramley to get scared out of our mind for no reason and to be given horrible advice that wasted even more of our money. He could've at the very least not charged us since he did nothing for us and knew we were in for a very expensive vet visit telling us to go to emergency. Honestly this guy is a crock. read more

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Bramley and the staff at Eastside Animal Hospital. I had a very difficult decision to make about my aging dog who had developed several serious health conditions. Dr. Bramley took the time to listen to all my concerns, weighed the pros and cons of treatment, and made some helpful recommendations. He is clearly a vet who cares as much about people as he does about animals (a quality I've found lacking at some other animal care facilities). The waiting area and examining rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and there are places to walk your pet outside while you wait. We LOVE this place. 3rd generation veterinarian in the same Mesa building. Exceptionally affordable, you NEVER get an up-sell, very knowledgeable, compassionate and funny. There are very gentle with our dogs and we are on our second generations of dogs.....very sad when we lost our last two brother and sister dynamic duo Jerry and Tomac. We have new life again in our home with Opie and Haley and would never hesitate to make the drive from Ahwatukee to North Mesa to have them cared for by this Son and only Semi-retired hard working Father. I found out today that they are now taking new patients, for a while they were so booked they could only work with the patients they had. If you have not found a great vet you may want to get in before they have to turn people away again. A good Dr is hard to find and our dog kidz could not be in better hands. read more

I'm prould so say my two cats are patients, I know when it comes time to take them to see the doctor i'm takeing them going with confidence that the care they going get there is exceptional and at the same time very affordable wich is something i've never heard about any animal clinc. The Dr.s and staff at Eastside Animal Hospital are very friendly. We started going here when our cat developed cancer, so they weren't visits for a happy reason. But my cat liked Dr. Dan and that's what was most important to me and my husband. Unfortunately our cat got quite sick and everybody there was very sympathetic. They even referred us to an in-home euthanasia service. We'll continue to go to them with our other cat. We would recommend them to other animal lovers. read more
