Our family is devastated by the experience we had with this Sonoran Sky Pet Hospital. Our dog was diagnosed with pyometra and underwent emergency surgery that cost over $2,000. We were told by the veterinarian that the surgery had gone well and that everything appeared successful. However, our dog was released to us approximately 30-45 minutes after surgery. After bringing her home, her condition quickly deteriorated, and she tragically passed away in front of our children. Watching our beloved family pet die in front of our kids was one of the most heartbreaking experiences we have ever endured. We understand that surgery carries risks and that complications can occur. However, we are struggling to understand why our dog was discharged so soon after a major procedure and whether additional monitoring or post-operative care could have changed the outcome. Beyond the financial cost, the emotional toll on our family has been overwhelming. We trusted this clinic with our pet's care, and we are left with unanswered questions and profound grief. We hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and reviews its post-surgical discharge and monitoring procedures so that other families do not have to experience a similar tragedy. read more

Before you bring your beloved family member to this Pet hospital make sure the staff doesn't have plans on a Friday night. We brought our beloved dog Penny in on a Friday afternoon for Pyometra surgery. A major surgery. After only keeping her in recovery for 30 min she was sent home (it was Friday night they all wanted to leave). We were told she did great! She couldn't stand. Her legs would buckle underneath her when she tried to stand or walk. She was having labored breathing, panting continuously (but she was doing great?) Within an hour of her release she stopped breathing and died at home while my children had to watch. A very traumatizing experience for us all. ( of course the after hours number no one got back to us) Instead of them keeping her a bit longer (after a major surgery) to make sure she was in-fact stable they rushed her out so they could all have their Friday night! So make sure you don't love your pet too much when you bring them into this hospital. Or at least make sure they don't have plans. read more

Workers wanted to go home early on a friday night, not sure who was incompetent enough to decided to let my pet be released 20 mins post-op, never met someone so selfish. Came home and my pet passed not even 45 mins later and caused trauma to the children involved. Not to mention the amazing customer service which includes ghosting and ignoring our text and calls, lying about information saying they couldnt get in contact with us, we have proof and we are angry. Just called and asked if they could respond to us, said they were but thats so funny, must be a glitch or something because im not seeing or hearing anything? My dog, Lucy, suddenly had trouble walking and I tried to find an emergency vet to see her that wasn't owned by a medical monopoly like Blue Pearl or a VCA facility. I found this facility about 15 minutes from my home and headed that way. Everyone was lovely and kind from the greeting receptionist, the vet tech and Dr Brough. He was so nice and warm to Lucy and to me - I won't hesitate to take either of my dogs back here in the future. They have called to check on Lucy 2x since we were seen. Staff is very nice and the location is easy to find. They were very sweet to my dog. I've only been here twice but they don't seem like they're trying to take advantage of you or your money. Initial appointment was $80 plus meds, so it came out just over $200, and follow up was $60. They didn't push extra stuff that I did not come in for which I appreciated. My dog looks a lot better and doing well. I will give them another shot in the future when the time comes. read more

I was recommend this vet from a Facebook group for Shiba Inu owners. If you're in Mesa / Chandler / Gilbert / Queen Creek and looking for a vet, I cannot recommend Sonoran Sky Pet Hospital enough! The doc and the techs were so patient with my babies. They're very reasonably priced (about $260 for blood work + wellness check for 2 dogs). You can tell this vet loves what he does and isn't trying to sell you a certain product or push an insurance plan on you. My girl has had a weight issue for almost two years now and this is the first vet to suggest something other than "feed her less, she's just fat" even though she eats less than the recommended amount for her goal weight. Although I hope there's nothing wrong with her and she really is just a chunk, it's nice to have someone actually listen. read more

Dr. Brough and his team are great. Had my 2 female dogs get into a fight after resource guarding a dog bone. Both dogs underwent same day surgeries. The team and doctor were understanding, communicative, receptive and knowledgeable throughout the entire treatment and healing process. My old vet is no longer in business, and I've been researching different offices. I'm so glad I ended up here. I have 3 dogs, 2 of which needed some surgeries and 1 who was up for his annual. Some vets are hesitant to put an older dog or cat under during surgery and won't do what I need. My 13 yo Chihuahua needed to have the rest of her teeth pulled, and my little 12 yo terrier 2 cysts removed and a few teeth too. They performed!! both surgeries. The pre-op and post op was easy with them calling to see how things are going. Their communication is great. I prefer to text, so we were able to text back and forth and talk when needed. Their prices are also great as I was quoted higher previously. The staff is friendly and very caring. They are wonderful with the furbabies you bring in. My big boy doesn't let anyone trim his nails, and he allowed them, and that says a lot. 2 grommets have refused to work with him it took them less than 10 min here. I always saw different vets and at my last two appointments, the vets disagreed about how to treat my cat. I went to Sonoran Sky Pet Hospital for a second opinion and I will be moving care over ASAP. Dr. Brough looked through our medical history and explained things I hadn't even heard of before that our previous vet wrote in the chart but didn't bother to mention. He explained treatment options, what needed to be done vs. what should be done. His office staff were friendly and made me feel at ease. I could tell his technician, Madeline, truly cared for animals and she doted on my cat Bonnie while we were there. They pulled Bonnie away to draw blood and she came back calm and not frazzled or anxious. The office space was clean and the equipment looked new and updated. They offer payment plans as well. This pet hospital is about 25 minutes away from me but I gladly will make the drive every time. I had to take my senior dog in for a "gland" issue and they were able to fit me in same-day. I can't guarantee they'll always have that availability but it was extremely helpful for us. The front desk and tech staff are so kind and friendly and they take the time to explain everything they are doing and any costs involved. They genuinely like animals and were so sweet when my grumpy old man wouldn't stop barking. The doctor is also personable and great with the animals and both times we have visited we were in and out quickly with zero problems and fully satisfied and comforted. The cost was very reasonable. They also give your dogs "pupaccinos" (if allowed) and there is a cookie bar for the pups as well. read more

We took our two cats to Sonoran Sky today to get examined and get their vaccines. The facility is beautiful, the exam was thorough, prices are fair, and they took very good care of our cats. I took my dog to Sonoran Sky Pet Hospital to have Dr. Brough look at a growth. He did some testing and we found out it was cancer. He did surgery the very next week, because the doctor mentioned getting it out immediately. I had so many questions, and the staff and Dr. Brough took the time to explain everything. I don't think I was ever this happy after a pet appointment. Prices are much more reasonable than Banfield, and that's why I looked for another vet. The place was spotless, clean, and private. I felt right at home even though I was a little worried about my buddy. He is at home now recuperating due to the efficiency, knowledge, and their willingness to take care of pets under their care.
