Review update! It's the end of the year and the fat is still off, and I lost more. After completing my full package of 5 treatments I lost a total of 6" around my belly! The reason it's so effective is because of a few things. I followed pre and post care instructions and their machine goes over a larger area than other cryo machines that only target a specific area at a time. I had microblading of my eyebrows done here . A year later they were mostly faded and they looked thin and faded with thin/bald spots. It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect plus it was very expensive. I tried another salon/esthetician that was recommended and realized I could get the same procedures for a reasonable price and not $1000 plus that I spent here! They did a mix of microneedling and shading on my eyebrows this time and I love it!! Plus the touchups are so reasonably priced!! I'm going back for lip blush too. My advice would be to do your research,shop around, ask around ....there are a lot of great salons out there that don't overcharge and are reasonably priced. read more

When I decided to get into the beauty business, inspired by my own Microblading experience as a customer, I did a thorough search for potential trainers and schools. I went through plenty of prospective trainers, but it was Amanda and Beauty Angels that stood out to me. Beyond Amanda's obvious winning personality and positive attitude, the details of the Beauty Angels Academy intrigued me. While a lot of Microblading schools and trainers offered a few days of instruction and then left you to sink or swim, only Amanda and Beauty Angels offered 20 levels of curriculum through online training, which can take up to 6 months, in addition to the live training. At first I was a bit hesitant because I was impatient to get my business up and running and getting certified in a few days seemed pretty enticing! But the more I researched the Beauty Angels training and the more I researched Amanda on Facebook, Google, and Instagram (my inner spy... or stalker!), I became more and more convinced that she was the right trainer for me. I read every review she's ever gotten in her life (ok... maybe not!) and that, along with the success of her former students, sealed it for me. And I was not disappointed! Once I attended her Microblading course in March, I knew for sure I had made the right decision. Amanda is so calm and thorough in her explanations. She breaks everything down so that you can absorb it. But she's no pushover and is not going to pass you unless you produce good work. For example, for the very first level of the online training, I had to hand-draw a pair of brows. I submitted my first attempt: rejected. I submitted my second attempt: rejected. I took a deep breath, took Amanda's advice from each rejection to heart and finally passed on my third attempt! I have little doubt that a lot of other trainers wouldn't have been so firm in holding their standards but Amanda will draw the best out of you whether you like it or not! But it wasn't all just criticism. Whenever I submitted work, Amanda would be sure to tell me what I did RIGHT in addition to pointing out where I could do better. It was those bits of praise that helped keep my confidence up when I wasn't sure I could do it. Another great thing about Amanda is that she's always just a text away, as she will respond to any of your questions even on the weekends or when she's on vacation. That's dedication right there! I ended up passing my online training in June and opened up my own Microblading business soon after. Even after I officially graduated the course, Amanda still made herself available to answer questions and has been very helpful with little tidbits of knowledge, like what ink colors/mixes to use on various clients' skin colors or advice on business procedures (which is all new to me! I've never run a business before!). She is a person with a heart of gold and is very geniune about wanting to help others. I know she could make more money just performing Microblading instead of instructing others but she enjoys giving back and helping others make the journey she has made to the top of the mountain. Today I went to Eastside Microblading and saw Laura to have powder brows done. I was rather afraid to have this procedure done as it is permanent, requires upkeep, and if you don't get a good artist it could adversely affect how you look as brows are a central feature of your face. Laura went above and beyond making me feel comfortable. I was the last appointment of the day, and Amanda, the owner, was also there and both Amanda and Laura answered all my questions, and made me feel so comfortable I went ahead and had my brows done. I have naturally very thin brows, and wanted a natural look not building up a brow that went beyond my natural brow line. Given I have platinum blonde hair Laura decide to do a iight taupe color as I have olive undertones in my skin. I was told that lighter colored brows can be more difficult depending on the warm, or cool tones in your skin, and the tones in the color of the dye that is chosen. When Laura was done I was amazed at what an improvement the brows made to my face, and this is not even the completed brow, yet. Powder brows are applied with a machine and I felt zero pain, and didn't even ask for numbing cream. The brows will be darker in the picture I post with this review as they were just done today. The brows lighten up over the next 6-8 weeks, and you return for a second visit to refine the shape and color. I will return the second week of December when Amanda will do my second application refining the shape and color of the brow. I'm beyond pleased at the work that was done by Laura, and I'm very impressed with the professionalism, kindness and artistry exhibited at Eastside Microblading. I'll include a picture from today - just remember my brows will lighten once they heal, and the final shape and color will be refined during my next appointment. The old adage you get what you pay for applies here - these lovely women take their job seriously and provide exceptional service and beautiful brows. Of note, they include in-depth aftercare instructions and products to make sure you get the best results from the work they do creating your brows. I will post another review after my next visit and post some additional pictures so you can see the healing process and the final outcome. Thus far I'm beyond pleased with Laura's work and would highly recommend coming here if you want powder or micro bladed eyebrows, and you want professionals that have the highest standards doing this work on your face. read more

Zara is a master. I wear very little makeup: most days nothing, sometimes just mascara and concealer. I had a little gap in one of my brows that bothered me enough that I would fill it in any day I wore makeup. She listened to what I wanted as well as offered other advice that was very helpful in deciding what shape and color to use for my brows. She uses tools for making symmetry and I later found out that she knows a lot about math and so she is a perfectionist when it comes to making sure both brows are symmetrical. I didn't even realize how much more I loved the shape of my brows after she made them even. She uses quality tools and has the top training out there with Phi brows. She definitely knows her stuff! I just had the Cryo Sculpting with Leslie. I wasn't sure what to expect from the appt, I was a little nervous that it might be painful. Surprisingly, it was really relaxing and didn't make me cold. I'd recently heard about bruising from another type of cold sculpting, so I hoped it wasn't something like that. Luckily it's nothing like that, it's a flat hand piece. Leslie was so nice to talk to, had great advice on what to do for aftercare. It was easy to park and the location is clean and bright. The front desk gal was very sweet. A great experience! I want to get a package, because my results are good! The area I did was lumpy and now it's smooth, and I haven't measured but to me it looks slimmer! Can't wait for more! read more

I can't say enough good things about Amanda! I am crazy about my brows and searched for a long time before settling on an artist. Our first appointment, she stopped after everything she did to make sure I was still ok with the look or the tiny changes she was making. I was recommended by a friend who had her brows done by Amanda. I was super excited to get them done as I'm a huge believer that the brows are the frame of your entire face. I had a consultation with Amanda who was super professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Which got me even more excited. I did not get my brows done that day. I was pregnant and would need to wait until I had the baby. I did a lot of research during that time and decided to book with Amanda. The first session went well. Wasn't to painful, we enjoyed conversation. We had decided on the shape but I insisted that they were too far apart but she said she had done all the measurements and that they should go any further in. Trusting in her expertise, I rolled with it. However, at the end of my session, while they did look much better than my normal brows it still wasn't what I was hoping for. The brows were too far apart and they were still too think. She expressed that she doesn't do bold brows and only does a natural looking brow (but this is hardly even close to a bold brow), and said I would still need to fill in with a pencil. (Didn't I just pay nearly $500 to NOT use a pencil every morning?). After the brows healed up, they didn't hold much retention and they were very uneven. My best friend event commented that they were too far apart and didn't look even. Then I went to my touch up. I expressed I still believed they were too far apart and uneven and she was very resistant to adding more so she agreed to add ONE hair to each brow. She touch ed up the rest. Looked better but still not at all how I have seen other brows turn out and by 4 weeks when later when healed they STILL were uneven, too far apart and very thin. I voiced my concern and Amanda offered to give me a free second touch up. I was not happy at all and I had lost confidence that she would be able to fix them. But I had to do it within 2 days because she was having a surgery. I couldn't do it either of the days so I asked for a full or partial refund because I was really unhappy. She refused but later texted me that she had refunded $200 to me. I spent over $700 so I basically threw away $500. I made an appoint for a consult with another microblader who has done two of my friends' brow, and both of them look absolutely flawless. At my consult, she said my brows were "a hot mess". She said the microblading was done in clusters, did not match, were not done in the way my hair naturally grow and the hairs were too short. She said they were also too far apart (ugh! I know!) and the arches were different and the tails were not the same length. She said they would have to be completely redone, reshaped etc. Moral of the story: I'm not paying an additional $700 to get them redone properly. I would not recommend Eastside Microblading. Amanda is a very sweet girl but I am now paying basically double to do them over. I'm pretty upset about there. Do your research and go elsewhere.
