    Supposedly "fixed" windshield rock chip repair.

    I chose ESMAG to fix a 10mm windshield rock chip, based on faitly positive Yelp reviews. I scheduled an appointment for 10:30am, and when I arrived (promptly) there was only 1 other customer waiting / vehicle in their service bay. The receptionist was friendly and timely to help me get checked in, and quoted 15-20 minutes to repair the rock chip. By 10:45 am my car was still sitting in the parking lot without any progress. By 10:50 am a technician inspected the windshield, tossed a towel on it and set his TOOLBOX directly on the hood, and walked off. At 11am the tech finally returned and applied the resin/suction kit to fix the chip. At 11:15 they called me upfront to pay. I walked out to my car and immediately still noticed the chip, as well as the same small hairline crack that was there to begin with. I asked the tech to come look at it as it didnt look right. The tech briefly looked at it, said it was "normal" and the chip and crack would still show, but had been injected with resin. I asked if he was sure this was as good as it would get and he said "yes unless you want to buy a new windshield" (!). To me, it looks like they didn't do anything, and I'm very dissatisfied with the results. Every time I've had a rock chip replaced in the past, the chip is hardly visible, if at all. I paid about $100 for this "service" and feel totally unconfident that this crack won't spread. I'm now going to a different windshield repair shop to have them assess, give a second opinion, and hopefully have this repaired right. Just wanted to share this review, in case anyone else is considering ESMAG for rock chip repair.

    Very pleased with Eastside mobile service. I had my van's windshield replaced by them 4 months ago (out-of-pocket) and recently it received another rockchip (ugh). They tried to repair it but while doing so the crack propagated making it unrepairable. They clearly warned me beforehand that this could happen especially if there are cracks extending radially beyond the rockchip crater (there was) . They were able to replace the windshield (again) at a very competitive price as before plus with a slight discount that I requested given the unusual circumstances. Kudos to them for keeping a happy and repeat customer. Another added benefit of doing business with them is that I received a voucher for 3 months of free car washes at Brown Bear for *both* times the windshield was replaced.

    Seal pulled fully away and leaking

    Terrible service! Expects customer to accommodate their mistakes! Requested, received and agreed to quote 05/21; Installer sent to my home without contacting me for appointment 05/24; rescheduled for 5/31; installer did terrible install job with seal pulling at all corners (photos). Now they want me to bring it in, or wait two weeks for mobile technician (reason I went for mobile service was so I didn't have to). They will not come and get. After I indicate I feel they should take care of it, the self-identified "dispatcher" became excessively belligerent. Nothing but excuses and yelling from this person, who if working for me today I would let go.

    Recommended to go here from the dealership Michael's Toyota, this review is rated on the facts of the situation and is on going, Rating will be adjusted based on the outcome. 6/24/2021 1:30PM: Windshield is cracked 2/4 across the center 6/24/21 2:35PM: Called to schedule parts, Was told I would be called back when Insurance was received and parts were ordered. 6/25/21: No update. 6/28/21 1:28PM: I called to check on insurance status claims and parts being ordered, was told they have received insurance claims information and parts are ordered. 7/15/21 10:01AM: I called to see where the parts were, I was told they called me the week prior and left a voice mail that the parts were in, this did not happen from any of my logs, my phone is on me nearly 24/7 along with a smart watch for areas that I can't use the phone for calls, there are no logs on my phone or voicemails. Appointment was scheduled for 7/31/21 @ 9AM. 7/31/21 8:55AM: Car is dropped off 7/31/21 10:11AM: I am called back and told there is no windshield, they can not find it and don't know if it was actually shipped, they have the molding and weather stripping and have searched the shop for it, and that they have receipts. 7/31/21 est 10:45AM: Office has informed me there is no resolution, manager and Toyota were contacted, End of visit, car picked up. 7/31/21 est 2pm: No updated information or functional plan. 8/02/21 9:39AM: Manager called, the window was found at their warehouse, a clerical error had occurred and they brought it to the correct facility. Appointment scheduled for 8/07/21 @8AM 8/07/21 8AM: Car is dropped off. 8/07/21 10:06AM: Windshield is installed and car computer was calibrated. Car is ready for pickup. 8/07/21 est 11:00AM: Car is picked up, window is installed and Brown Bear car Wash tag and good to go tag was professionally reapplied from the old windshield, which was surprising and an impressive small detail, also vacuumed my driver's side floor. Discounts were applied and coupons were received. The rating is adjusted from one star to five stars, for handling the situation professionally.

    I had a rock chip on my windshield and the lady was very friendly and let someone take a look at it. They said this is repairable. The whole process was quick and smooth. Like 20mins. However, I am satisfied the result at all. It almost the same as before. For me, that is not a repair.

WA state RCW states…read moreit's illegal to perform an unsafe & inproper windshield install as it introduces a safety hazard as it's considered part of the structural integrity of the vehicle in the event of a collision or roll over. We had them replace our windshield on our 99 Chevy Suburban 3/4/26. A rock had hit our windshield causing it to crack beyond repair, & we had told them there was a water leak by our rear view mirror. Upon picking up our car we noticed the windshield was no longer sitting flush & had nearly a 1/2 inch gap. And they left rust dust & dirt all over our dash, cd player, & gauges. They ensured us it was correct & if it leaked to bring it back as we have a lifetime warranty on the install. Within 1 hour of picking up our car it was leaking from the windshield in places it hadn't before due to the improper install. They told us to bring it back today at 10am & but we were only met with hostility. The male owner literally cussed my husband out refused to do the leak test threw our keys at my husband from across the room assaulting him, & told us to get out. My husband was calm the whole time. The female owner reluctantly stepped in & said she would do it while the male owner kept telling her not to. My husband asked if he could come back to watch her do the test & she angrily said no. So he watched her from the counter, while I watched her from parking lot as I had a direct view. She didn't even finish the leak test before she was slamming our car door into a ladder & it made us feel uncomfortable so my husband asked if he could have the keys back if she wasn't going to treat our vehicle with care. She started cussing him out telling us there's nothing wrong with their install & literally said, "if we didn't have a piece of shit car that's falling apart there wouldn't be an issue." She angrily came flying around the corner with our vehicle & got out cussing , yelling, & physically was up in my husband's face pointing fingers in his face, literally screaming at him. I walked over to try to calmly deescalate the situation & before I could even speak the male owner ran up to the door & locked us out. We had to call the police to assist & file a report. The officer even noted the gap was not appropriate. The owners REFUSED to let the officer watch the footage on their cameras, which he said people often do when they are in the wrong. They stole our money, giving us a bad install & refused to make it right, essentially voiding the lifetime guarentee they claim they have on all their work. When I booked it & asked if they guarantee their work Merle laughed & lied stating, "of course! We have a lifetime guarantee, the owner takes great pride in his work." They said everything they needed to to get our business but as soon as they had our vehicle they intentionally scammed us. They knew they did a bad install when they did the job & knew if they could say whatever they could to make us feel comfortable enough to pay & leave they wouldn't EVER have to make it right. We've already been told just based off of photos by 2 other local windshield repair businesses that their install is not only improper but an illegal install job requiring another windshield to be installed. We already scheduled an appointment to have their install inspected for documentation so we can file a complaint with the attorney general & a civil suit to get our money back since they refused to correct their improper install. DO NOT GIVE THESE THIEVES YOUR BUSINESS OR YOU RISK BEING SCAMMED AS WELL! Read the other reviews, ANYTIME they do something wrong the owners refuse to make it right, ripping people off seems to be his MO. We should have gone to LUCKY DOG in Kent, we hear they are the BEST, but this place was closer. BAD DECISION on our part.
