Very nice place to have brunch foods really good and big portions every time I've been there it's been good no complaints

I want to love this place but it's never consistent. Some days the food is super good and some days not so much. They just had a new owner take over and it's up-and-down again like the last time boo hoo. The food is always delicious here! Their menu is unique with great flavors. One of our favorites is the Southwestern Eggs Benedict. It has the perfect blend of spice and original flavors. We've been coming for years and it's even better since Rodney & Brittany took ownership and we love the staff. They are always friendly and treat us like family. An oasis in the desert, quite literally. If you find yourself in Lancaster there really isn't much to do, so treat yourself to one of the more hearty and delicious meals that the city has to offer. I came here with a group of friends and this was a stop on our road trip - we decided to order family style so that we could sample nearly everything on the menu. We came there as friends, but after fighting over food, I'm surprised we stayed friends by the end of the meal. The standouts were definitely the biscuits and gravy, the country fried steak, and the chimichurri steak. Get anything with the gravy, lol. I'm a big fan of how the management runs the place - it looks like they offer different rotating specials so every time you go there's something new to try. Speaking of which, the chef recommended something new he's trying out, spicy chicken filet with gravy on a biscuit. It was phenomenal. Everything we ordered (imagine about 12 entrees split between 8 people) really hit the spot. Service was just as good as the food as well. I don't make it out this way often, but this place gives me a reason to venture out towards the high desert. Low-key glad it's so far away from where I usually frequent; otherwise, I'd probably gain 30 pounds from eating here so often. p.s. there are delicious, healthier options too! read more

Since trying this place out about 6 months ago, it's been our new favorite breakfast place in the area. We have tried different items: Monte Cristo Carnitas, chicken sandwich, classic pancakes and eggs, and had to have the gravy again (made daily apparently). Super good. Not too salty. Reminds me of a shiitake mushroom based gravy I had in Portand. Hint Hint. Also love their weekend specials. As long as the food remains good, prompt service, we will keep coming back. read more

My wife and I had breakfast here this morning. What a nice surprise. We learned it's under new management,about a month now. It's been a long time since we had had breakfast at this location. Moist and tasty lemon pancakes made with cream cheese, perfect eggs, smoked bacon and gravy (as in biscuits and gravy) that rivals my wife's. That's saying a lot. You haven't had gravy until you've had my wife's gravy, but she said she thought the gravy was better than hers. If you think you don't like gravy, it's because you haven't had good gravy. A great place for breakfast. The establishment is super clean the waitresses can use some waiting skills and can be more attentive than sitting behind the counter bsing, but overall. Update*** We went here for breakfast around 10:45 and were told it was a 10 min wait for a table for 3. We waited longer (I understand they can't predict it exactly) then we where sat at our table and she gave us water and I told her we were ready to order she said she would grab the waitress. She didn't notify the anyone to my knowledge and we waited about almost 10 mins and no one came to us. So we walked out and left and the hostess seen us leave and she did not attempt to offer help or call the waitress there was no sense of urgency the time was 11:17 when we left. We came here before and ordered the jakes burrito which was really great and we came to get the same order. Unfortunately we left extremely unhappy and took our business elsewhere. read more

Ok, this place used to be Scramblez and was just recently bought out by Broken Bit restaurant next door. My husband usually orders the chicken fried steak and have loved it. Since the buy out, the steak has shrunk to half its size and then now they use hamburger patty and the gravy is JUST a dollop underneath the patty. What the???? The food is the usual home style food kind so nothing to get excited about but it has always satisfied us and the portions was fair. I was just surprised about his drastic change. Last time we ate there, we complemented the waiter about the gravy...his response, "it's ok, not how I would make it but it's not my recipe.". Ummm...I doubt the owners wouldn't be too happy with that response. read more

Would have enjoyed my first time there with my family but instead got horrible service, waitresses did not acknowledge us, once we walked on someone from a far yelled across the room to ask ask how many ppl then instead of walking us to the booth she pointed to the booth and said you can just take that one, then we waited for like 5 min got started with drinks. We felt the A/C and it was to cold for us so we wanted to eat outside since it was warmer, we were waiting for our waitress to come back and take our order so we can let her know that we wanted to eat outside instead we probably waiting like 15 min and nobody acknowledged us we took our drinks and menus outside,, then after waiting 10min outside we noticed other folks took the booth where we were at and they got drinks as well 5min passed still no service from anybody and then noticed that the ppl that were at the booth where we were got Their food!! So went inside asked if anybody could take our order because we were waiting for quite a long time now and there were 6 waitresses who saw us did not ask if they could help so instead when I ask if anybody could take our order one of the waitresses says we are very busy you have to wait till someone goes outside to you. AFTER WAITING FOR 45min NOW!!!! So We go back outside a non waitress takes our order ask her for more coffee and another 20min pass by still no service or coffee. BY FAR THE WORST PLACE ANYBODY COULD GO TO! It was so disrespectful, horrible Service, total nightmare. I wouldn't even give them one star read more

We, a party of three ordered omelettes. We were served scrambled. The server said that we had an old menu and that they don't serve omelettes any longer. REALLY a breakfast joint that doesn't serve omelettes. Any way , the food was bland the onions were not cooked or sautéed rather just thrown on top of the scramble. Bizarre. BTW , about 5 minutes into our meal a couple across from us sent the toast back for being wet not dry but here's the kicker.....they ordered scrambled and got an omelette. Service very slow. Never to return and to be lied to over an egg. Lol! read more

Hands down the best breakfast in town! The new menu has debuted and all I can say is WOW. We go to the Easy Egg most weekends for breakfast and were completely blown away this weekend by the new menu. On Saturday I had the California Benedict which has chicken apple sausage and guacamole on top of a fresh croissant - YUM. On Sunday I had the Quartz Hill Breakfast burrito - sage country gravy INSIDE the burrito. I'm tempted to go every day for breakfast. Great Job! read more

My wife and I made a stop here for breakfast on a whim and we were pleasantly surprised by how good this small cafe was. It's a mom and pop shop so some of the items are unique and I love that. Although there were your typical diner breakfast items on the menu, I opted for the monte cristo sandwich and it was out of this world. It's definitely something to consider there. My wife had the eggs benedict and that was also delicious...Also you might want to try the biscuits and gravy as well. So good! We started our day way too early today and did not have time to eat breakfast at home. Right after our home inspection we ended up at easy Egg Cafe which I found on yelp. We entered and it seems very awkward we didn't know if we had to find a seat or they sat you. We heard a scream from the register to come in and find a table. We ended up sitting on the next room. We sat there for about 7 minutes until we got our waitress give us menus. We finally decided and I ordered the biscuit an gravy plate with scrambled eggs and potatoes for $8.99. The potatoes were cut in large pieces, it was good until i bit one potato that had way too much salt or seasoning. The eggs were actually pretty good, however the biscuits and gravy were cold and not hot. The biscuits tasted like they got them out of the refrigerator. That's too bad because they were delicious but cold. My daughter got the mickey mouse pancake for $3.99, it was huge and my daughter liked it. Her daddy got the Quartz Hill breakfast burrito. He didn't think the burrito was all that great. For the wait being so long I was expecting hot food. Our final total with tip was $28.04. Overall I give them 3 stars maybe next time it will be much better if we decide on trying it again. read more

I ordered for pick up and walked up to the counter after asking a waitress where to go for pick up as it was my first time there. I was rung up and was trying to get the attention of one of the three waitresses behind the bar for some change. Keep in mind there was one couple eating in the room I was in and possibly one other in the dining room adjacent to me so they werent busy and could easily ask me if there was anuthi g else I needed. Even after askung for the change tgey all continued to have their back towards the dining rooms and continued to talk amongst each other about one of the waitresses shirts. I left with no other acknowledgement, the only interaction I had with the staff was when she slid my card and handed my receipt followed with would you like any ketchup. Yup, that was my whole conversation, no goodbye, than you for coming in.. nothing! We ordered an easy egg burger, a side of chili, and a chicken cesar salad... $30 later I get home and was hopeful the portions would possibly be a bit bigger, or the flavors would just blow our minds for the price. What a disappointment!! The burger was pretty bland in flavor and the fries looked and tasted straight out of a frozen bag. The chili was decent, and my salad was full of soggy croutons, keep in mind I arrived 15 minutes after placing my order when theu said it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Needless to say we will never go back, no hospitality, and no flavor. Not worth the price. I wish I could give more stars because I would much rather support local businesses, but sadly this is not the case. read more
