The restaurant was way over booked. We got seated 45min after our reservation time. That should of been enough of a sign. But it kept on getting worst. There was a crazy amount of people both inside and outside. We were very disappointed with the food. Look at the pictures before you go. Even the pancakes were hard and burnt, eggs overcooked what restaurant gets that wrong! We had to wait in a line to get to the food only to have to wait for clean plates. They entertain the white people by giving them water with lemon while I was waiting for over an hour and had to tell these ladies that my family and I have not received any water. They have never checked up on us to see if we want to order food or drinks. I want to give a huge shout out to the Champignon Magnifique & the steamed mussels. The mushrooms were a 10/10! Hands down one of my favorite appetizers I've had in a long time. These mushrooms have the perfect amount of batter on them, and an incredible homemade caesar dressing. If you enjoy mushrooms, you must definitely get this! The muscles were also fantastic. There wasn't abundance of sauce, which was great because we dipped all kinds of things in there as well throughout the night. My only feedback here is that I wish they came with more small toasts. Caesar salad was also good. Our server for the night was a doll by the way. He was such a sweetheart and made such fantastic recommendations! What an absolute treat! I wanted to take my family out after a long day at the racetrack and thought a nice dinner would fit the bill. La Papillon delivered! We started with their home-made bread (Amazing) and decided to do a round of Oysters. I don't eat oysters but I took a gamble and gave it a shot and it was a nice balance of salty and mild sweetness with that oyster twist that makes them so addicting. When it came to the main event I went with the Ribeye. It came with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. The steak was great in that it had good flavor, texture, and it also came with fried onions on top as well as a side of Red Wine & Mushroom sauce. The sauce was a nice touch but I didn't need much of it. The family ended up getting pasta dishes and were very happy with their selections. That night was especially nice because they had a singer who executed classics from Sinatra and Englebert Humperdinck but the cherry on top was that he NAILED a sinatra-esque version of the Spiderman theme song. My 16 y.o. son was so impressed that he went up and tipped the guy. On top of the great soundtrack to our dinner the ambiance of the place is very nice. It was a nice mix of classic materials with a modern and clean execution. Lastly, the service was great too. Cool little place in Lancaster Boulevard, serving Endless Brunch on Weekends and regular entrees all day. Celebrated my mother's birthday here today and did not disappoint. Half of the table explored the Bruch and other half explore different entrees. I tried the steak and eggs but did not photograph as it was delicious. The service was amazing and the place was not too busy for a weekend. The drinks are separate, they are not included with Brunch. Well, I took my wife there because that's where we had eaten before and she picked it out because it is her birthday. Things have changed. When we got there, only one other couple was there. I ordered a 14oz ribeye, medium rare, calamari for an appetizer for us both, and the wife ordered shrimp scampi. Her's was marginal but mine was an absolute disaster. Not sure what they gave me for a ribeye, but, it wasn't a ribeye. About a half inch thick, and almost well done. No flavor, no seasoning. I will confess to cutting one piece to sample and put the rest in a bag hoping at least to make a sandwich out of it tomorrow. (Ketchup & or horseradish sauce does wonders). The prices are high, so at those prices, you have certain expectations. None were even close. I will never be back. And if you're smart, you won't go. Very disappointing to say the least. My filet mignon was overcooked on the outside and still raw in the center. I had specifically ordered it bacon-wrapped, but it arrived without the bacon. The vegetables were also poorly cooked and lacked flavor. My mother-in-law ordered the chicken marsala, and the bacon that came with it was undercooked and the dish overall had very little flavor. Service was slow and not helpful. The menu was quite eclectic, some higher priced as is normal for what's considered fine dining but the food did not live up to expectations. First time we tried it was quite disappointing and second time was no better. When it was G-B-G (former owners) it was excellent but now Papillion is NOT! The interior of this restaurant is lovely, with separate seating areas that accommodate larger parties--a great setup for groups. The staff was attentive, quickly bringing water and anything else we needed. For parties of seven or more, the tip is automatically included. This is truly the best place to eat on the boulevard. The prices and portions can't be beat- especially for the quality of the food. The service is amazing. Everyone is greeted so warmly and the servers are very attentive. There is even patio seating for those beautiful days- a great spot to drink their yummy bottomless mimosas! We've been coming here since they opened and have continued coming for brunch religiously at least once a month. We never get tired of how consistently delicious their food is. I went to this restaurant today, 07/24/26 to order oysters and a beer. When I arrived and asked for a table, the waiter paused and condescending told me to get a menu as they were near the door. Not sure if it was because I was alone, or I because I was wearing basic shorts and a shirt? I had just left the gym. I ordered the raw oysters and a beer. The oysters were so incredibly terrible, they were not good anymore. They came apart, completely dissolve , oysters are not supposed to do that . These oysters were spoiled and bad to eat, and they served this to a customers. Without any regard for safety. I had one and it was disgusting. I let the waiter know the oysters were bad., he gave me the worst look and said he will 'let the kitchen know.' These oysters had clearly died and the bacteria was decomposing the flesh, and that's how they serve them to me. Complete carelessness ! The waiter still charged me for them. I paid for the oysters and one beer and I left. The Total for my bill was 35 dollars. For six oysters that were clearly spoiled; and one small beer, . I do not recommend this place to Anyone. The service was awful, the food was horrible and absolutely disgusting and I truly believe there's so many other places that have way better service and way better food for half that price. Booked this brunch hoping to do something nice for Mother's Day and it turned into a terrible experience. The restaurant was extremely overcrowded with zero organization. We had to walk around looking for someone just to order drinks. There were way too many people packed inside -- honestly, if there had been an actual emergency or fire, it would have been dangerous. There was barely any room to walk, and someone in a wheelchair would not have been able to move through the restaurant comfortably because the pathways were so blocked and crowded. To make things worse, a lady at the table next to us dropped and shattered a glass cup, and no one came to clean up the broken glass sitting on the floor. The food was disappointing as well. Most of it was barely warm, the self-serve stations were left open with flies landing on the food, the fruit looked old and not fresh, and the lines for food were ridiculously long. On top of that, the food itself just wasn't good. This was our first time coming here and definitely our last. We stayed about 30 minutes before deciding to leave. Such a disappointing way to spend Mother's Day. Would not recommend at all -- complete waste of money. read more

Enjoyed our anniversary dinner here last night! The food was great! Prices are reasonable and friendly service also. My favorite was the La papillon salad and the chipotle chicken pasta. Husband got the chicken roulade, was a bit too salty for me but husband liked it , the ahi tower was good but I could do without the hoisin sauce drizzle and the capers personally.
