Edison and his great team just completed a nearly year-long job on my home in Long Beach. It…read morestarted last Spring 2025 when he shepherded me through the HEEHRA grant process and helped me replace my 50-year-old HVAC system with a state-of-the-art variable speed heat pump from American Standard. But since the original construction of my home had a poor central AC vent design and no kitchen exhaust vent, there were major temperature differences throughout the house. Edison and his team came back several times over the past year and in stages helped me install 2 new HVAC vents and a kitchen exhaust vent, and now every square inch of my home is cool and comfortable. Even better, because the heat pump is so efficient, we haven't noticed a significant increase in our electricity bill, even though the system runs quietly in the background 24/7. Shout out to Thomas, who helped us figure out the vent placement and also installed the vents. These guys are the best. Not the cheapest, but certainly the best overall value. Hire them!

This company has gone way down hill. When we contracted with Edison Rossman, the owner, everything…read moreseemed above/board and correct. Now, about a year later, technicians do not arrive when their own texts say they will, are dressed unprofessionally and cannot communicate clearly, they don't know what they are there to do, and the company has untrained, unprofessional staff--including Ashley and Viri--in the office, who yell at and argue with customers. On top of this, Edison will not respond when customers call to express concerns. Do not use this company unless you want to be disrespected and work with people who apparently do not care to honor their own maintenance contract.

They originally booked me for Saturday but told me they would call if an earlier appointment became available. To my surprise, they contacted me the very next day because of a cancellation. Our technician, Fabian, was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. He took the time to explain what was causing the issue and also educated us on the importance of routine A/C maintenance to help prevent future problems. I really appreciated that he answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed. The entire experience, from scheduling to the repair, was excellent. It's hard to find a company that's responsive, honest, and reliable, but this one exceeded our expectations. We will definitely continue using them for all of our future heating and air conditioning needs. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed with Southwest HVAC…read more I called Southwest HVAC in April to have my AC serviced before summer because I have a newborn at home and wanted to make sure our system was reliable before the hot weather hit. I specifically took the initiative to have the unit maintained ahead of time because keeping my family comfortable and safe was a priority. During that visit, Southwest HVAC charged me $1,000 for a capacitor and a hard-start kit. I thought the price was extremely high, but I agreed to pay it because I trusted that I was paying for professional service and, more importantly, peace of mind that my AC would be ready for the summer. Fast-forward ONLY FIVE MONTHS and my AC won't even turn on. Naturally, I called Southwest HVAC expecting them to stand behind the work they had performed just five months earlier. Instead, I was told I would have to pay another $100 diagnostic fee just for them to come out and look at the system. That's what I find completely unacceptable. You charged me $1,000 to service and repair my AC, and less than five months later the system isn't even turning on--and your response is essentially, "Pay us another $100 and we'll take a look." If you are going to charge customers premium prices for HVAC work, I expect a reasonable level of accountability when the equipment fails shortly after you serviced it. I shouldn't have to pay another fee simply to find out whether the work I already paid you $1,000 for was done properly or whether the components you installed have failed. The timing is especially frustrating because I specifically had this work done BEFORE summer precisely so I wouldn't end up in this situation. I have a newborn in the house, and now I'm dealing with a non-functioning AC in the middle of summer after paying this company $1,000 for service only five months ago. $1,000 in April. AC completely dead in September. Another $100 just to get someone to diagnose it. That is not what I consider good customer service, and it certainly isn't what I expected when I paid Southwest HVAC to service my system. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion and comparing prices before giving this company your business. Based on my experience, I am extremely dissatisfied with both the service and the way they handled the situation afterward.

From start to finish, their team showed professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to getting the job done right--even when things didn't go exactly as planned. The job was a big one and took three days to complete, which we expected given the complexity of switching over systems. There were a few hiccups along the way (as with any major home project), but what impressed us most was how the crew handled them. They stayed on top of every issue, communicated clearly, and didn't leave until everything was functioning exactly as it should. The difference in efficiency and comfort with the new heat pump system is incredible. We appreciate all the hard work that went into the install--it was no easy task, but the team at Superior really lived up to their name. Highly recommend them, especially if you're considering upgrading your HVAC system or making the switch to a heat pump. They truly care about the quality of their work and the satisfaction of their customers. I received about 6 quotes and Superior's pricing fell right in the middle of the quotes, but due to Israel's great communication we decided to move forward with Superior.
