ABF made an empty semi trailer available to me within 72 hours of my commitment, and then even allowed me to delay the delivery of the trailer within 24h before the delivery. They also allowed me ample time to load and then to simply call them hours before the cab came to pick up the trailer. Note that our driveway in Montreal was able to accommodate the 28ft trailer. In DC I needed to buy a $55 temporary parking permit for street parking. Although my goods arrived at the ABF warehouse in Maryland within two days, ABF held the trailer for another five days until I was ready to receive them. Key, I think, is to get the local dispatcher's contact info to help coordinate logistics directly, cause your otherwise dealing only with the national call center, which are really helpful, but can only get you so far. ABF was courteous, very flexible, reasonably priced, helpful, and very quick to get my goods delivered Stateside. This is the way to go as long as you are willing to pack everything yourself (and take responsibility for your own packing).

They arrived at 9:43, over an hour over the time on our contract. I booked for 8:30 so they would arrive before the other movers arrived so there would not be 2 movers at the same time at least for a while. They same something came up, and did not care at all. The move was delayed a lot because of the lateness since we were moving out at the same time other movers were bringing stuff in. 2. They forgot many of our items. We explained to them to take everything except the oven. They left behind my microwave, a few boxes, some decorative items and 2 tables and table tops. We had to go back and get the additional stuff ourselves. 3. They did not protect our mattress with plastic wrap as promised on our contract. There are now 2 stains on the underside of our mattress which voided the warranty. Now our warranty is useless. 4. They attempted to extort more money from us for "oversize" items like a large Mirror, and my 60" TV. I refused. My contract did not warn me of any "oversize" items. I would have never hired them if there were "oversize" costs. 5. They refused to move my small BBQ propane tank and left it behind. When i came back to retrieve it, it was stolen. 6. The "main" mover would answer his phone continuously over and over while moving. He must have spent over 30 minutes on his phone instead of moving our stuff. 7. They refused to hand me an official receipt indicating total hours i was paying for and taxes. All i got was a business card that said 1511 on it. I am taking this company to court. They caused me so much stress and heartache as well as Financial loss due to their pure incompetence. I would never reccomend this mover. Use at your own risk.

PS: A lot of their "5-star Google reviews" are suspicious: - Many of them are from accounts that only have 1 review, and those different accounts somehow posted similar content. - More importantly, ASAP Moving and Transport themselves, have accounts with fake names called "Sew Kits" on Google, speaking on their behalf. - I had interactions with ASAP Moving and Transport Inc., in specific Jason Fougere (manager) and Alexander Kostiuk (owner), both had multiple dishonest behaviours. -They always appeared to be the nicest people with their verbal politeness, and previously I was fooled by them too. Yet, after I found out they made mistakes, I also found out their true colours. - Not only ASAP Moving and Transport never admitted their mistakes, they were playing wording and blaming games, pushing responsibilities away, finding excuses, making promises but never fulfill, and even straight up lying. - Some of the stories they said were so fake - they even self-conflict! - I do not understand why ASAP Moving and Transport thought they could get away with lying after making mistakes, because lying will never help a business, it will only destroy a business. - Once their credibility is damaged, it cannot be fixed. - After all the lies, ASAP Moving and Transport still chose to self-proclaim "diligent and honest" and kept on lying, providing false and partial information to avoid responsibility. - Clearly, they have no regret for lying. - In Canada, we have no room for liars. - I highly suggest you to choose another moving company who is at least honest with their consumers. When I asked to speak to someone, the person I spoke to wasn't Jack, but a rude guy with an Indian accent, who arrogantly told me that there was an overweight charge I had to pay if I wanted to see my belongings again. When I questioned why I had to pay double the agreed amount, he told me it wasn't his problem and that he would place my things in storage, charging me daily fees until I paid. That's when I realized it was a scam, and they had my belongings on their truck, holding them hostage to defraud me. I paid, feeling terrible, and later I discovered that there is an association of certified movers, which specifically talks about these kinds of scams and illegal actions. What this company did is described as illegal by the association. Please, this happened two years ago--do not trust this company.
